The ConquerorPoem
Rabid hound of the Warmaster,
Red Angel, Eater of Worlds
The unchained dog and the galactic berserker;
Savage, unchained, frothing
Head of the Bloody 13th:
They tell me you are horrid and I believe it,
For I have seen your raving madmen walk your decks.
And they tell me you are hateful and I answer: yes
For I have fallen in your fighting pits.
And they tell me you are shattered and my reply is: How wouldest
Thou be with the bite of the Nails in your mind?
And having answered so I turn to those who snub my brethren, and I
Offer them my blade's edge and say to them.
Come and show me another Legion so bound by brotherhood.
So strong and bold and coarse and steeled.
Spewing garbled curses amid the toil of piling battle on battle, here is a
Towering butcher, set crimson against the pale blue sky.
Fierce as a hound baying for blood, savage as a tribe committed to
devilish war,
Patchworked,
Slaughtering,
Ravaging,
Roaring,
Ripping, tearing, breaking
Under the dust, blood upon his face, laughing whilst gnashing iron teeth
Under the horrid sting of the Nails, laughing as a monster does.
As if a survivor who has weathered some terrible storm, ever laughing.
Ever laughing and ever roaring to the blood-red void that he is the worthy opponent!\
Laughing!
Laughing the hard, unforgiving laughter of bitter hate.
Savage, bloodied, proud to be Rabid hound, Red Angel, Eater of Worlds, the unchained dog, the galactic berserker.
Hey guys! So as you can see, this poem is not that great. It was originally an assignment for English class that I decided to do about Warhammer. Anyways, I've gotten some feedback and follows on this story and I figured I owed you an update.
So here's the deal: No other updates will come to this story specifically. It was meant to be stand-alone short story/prologue. That is not to say the story will not continue. Rather, it is one in a series of short stories building up to a larger story that I am formulating. All this means is that to get the rest of the story, you'll have to follow me as an author, not just this story. But fear not, more blood and skulls to be had awaits all.
So until next time: Blood For The Blood God!
