Kylee Harris woke up from a fitful slumber on the day of her birthday: August 13. She sat up in her bed, sniffing the air to find the smell of bacon. Kylee sleepily made her way downstairs where her father was cooking breakfast.

"Hello Father," She yawned, and sat down.

Suddenly, a large knock issued from the front hall, knocking Kylee out of her daze.

"Whozere?!" She shouted, and tiptoed towards the front door.

Kylee tentatively looked out the peephole to find the mailman standing at the front door. She opened the door a crack, grabbed the mail, and walked back to the kitchen. Shuffling through the mail, Kylee found a letter the was addressed,

Kylee Harris

1132 Ferin Drive

Phoenix, Arizona

She eyed the letter suspiciously. Noticing Kylee's face, her dad inquired about it.

"What happened?" Kylee merely looked at him, and suddenly ripped open the letter to find a school's crest embedded on a piece of paper. She had never seen it before. Carefully opening the paper, she read what it said.

Dear Miss Kylee Harris,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at the Arizonian School of Magic. Enclosed is a list of school supplies you will be needing. We will be sending a Muggle Expert to you on the 23rd of August.

Yours sincerely,

PROFESSOR HOPCER

I edged open the enclosed list to find:

1 pair of dress robes

1 wand

1 cauldron

1 set of 1st year cauldron supplies:

Spiders eye

Unicorn horn shavings

Beetle eyes

Flesh of a werewolf

BOOKS:

Witchcraft and Wizardry: the Past and Present by Resselhood Kempo

Desert Beasts of Arizona and Their Properties by Hermione Granger

The list ended there. Kaylee stared at iftfor a moment, and then shook her head as if it would clear away the oddity of this.

"We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at the Arizonian School of Magic," Kaylee mouthed.

Kaylee decided not to tell her parents this later, as it would probably result in her mother dropping whatever she was holding and her father shouting that it couldn't be true. She wondered where she had gotten the blood from, because as far as she knew her parents were, as this letter called them, Muggles.
