Psithurism. It was one of the most calming songs Monoma Masami ever heard in nature. The perfect song to just listen and relax, forgetting all your problems in only a matter of minutes. It was a song created by the trees and the wind, working together to make the perfect balance of Earth and Air. Two complete opposites.

Masami sits under the ancient cherry blossom tree, listening to the songs of nature, her eyes closed and her knees brought to her chest. Her long, silver blonde hair dances softly in the wind, her tan skin gleaming in the sunlight. Her open notebook lay calmly beside Masami, the wind flipping the ink-filled pages. This was her safe place. Nothing bothers her here and no one passing by seems to notice her.

Masami doesn't move when she hears the familiar voice of her mother, Monoma Atsuko, calling out for her. It was time for school. Masami sighs in disappointment as she opens her eyes, revealing pale purple eyes with white pupils. Masami takes a deep breath as she stands up, grabbing her notebook. She brushed off the invisible dirt off of her uniform before she starts walking towards where her mother stood, hugging her notebook close to her chest.

"Took you long enough Masami! You're going to be late on your first day of school!" Atsuko exclaims in irritation as she gets in her car and turns it on. Atsuko had short, blonde hair, and pale blue eyes. She was the CEO for Monoma Defense and Security and never had time for her kids, except to drop them off at school.

Masami sits in the backseat, not speaking a word as she stares out of the window, ignoring the jealous glare Monoma Neito, her older twin brother, was giving her.

"I did not raise you to be a slacker, young lady! This morning it took you 5 extra minutes to eat breakfast! Look at Neito-chan! He are breakfast 3 minutes faster today! I do not have time to wait for a slacker!" Atsuko scolds as she starts driving towards their school. Masami hugs her notebook tighter, trying to ignore the sadness building inside her chest.

"I expect a perfect GPA and 100% in every single test. You are taking both the Management and Hero Course at the most prestigious school in the country, UA! You got a 95% in the written exam and got first place in the practical exam, by only one point! My children should be leaps and bounds ahead of all of the other lowly brats. Look at your brother! He got 100% on the written exam! If course, he didn't do too well on the practical exam, only getting 12th place, but he tried his hardest! You've become lazy with all that-" Masami blocks out the rest of the rant as she watches the scenery pass by in blurs. Such a shame that it was a sunny day.

Atsuko slows to a stop in front of the giant school gate of UA. Masami opens the door, keeping an arm over her notebook as she grabs her backpack from the car floor. She gets out, muttering a goodbye as she slams the door close and walks through the school gate, towards the entrance. Masami keeps her head down as she slowly walks up the stairs, her hair flying around in the wind. The 15 year old girl smiles slightly as she fixes her hair while walking into the school.

"Such a beautiful school," Masami thinks to herself as she walks through the hallways, her schedule in her free hand. Masami looks at what her first class is, not paying attention in front of her. Masami yelps in surprise as she runs into someone and falls backwards, onto her ass. She looks up in surprise and embarrassment as she finally notices a 15 year old boy with a rock shaped head, signing frantically with a blush on his face. Masami smiles kindly at the boy.

"It's not your fault. I didn't look where I was going," Masami says quietly as she stands up. The boy smiles nervously as he bows quickly before standing up again.

"I really am sorry!" The boy signs, making Masami giggle quietly before she raises both of her hands.

"It's quite alright. My name's Monoma Masami," Masami signs back, making the boy look at her in shock. He smiles brightly as he signs again, less nervous this time.

"It's nice to meet you Monoma-san. My name's Kouda Koji," The boy, now named Koji, signs with a bright smile on his face. Masami smiles back before she bends down and grabs her notebook and schedule.

"So which course are you in?" Masami asks as she starts walking with Koji, happier than she was this morning. She made a friend!

Throughout their conversation, Masami learned many things about Koji. He was a selective mute but still talked occasionally, his quirk, Anivoice, allows him to talk to animals, and he was in Class 1-A in the Hero Course, same as Masami. The blonde brightened when she found out that Koji was in the same class as her. She could tell he was happy too.

"So what's your quirk?" Koji asks in curiosity as they find their classroom.

"Sound Copy. I can copy any sound and turn it into a physical object, a barrier, or a weapon. If I try hard enough, I can change it into another sound," Masami explains as the two walk through the giant door. Masami almost freezes when she notices other students inside the classroom. There was about five people.

There was 3 girls and 2 boys. One girl had long black hair, pulled up into a ponytail, black eyes, and pale skin. She was about 5'8" and had a large chest. She had her back straight as she sat in her desk at the back of the room as she talked with another girl. This one had short, dark purple hair, dark purple eyes, and fair skin. She was 5 foot and had two long ear lobes witb earjacks at the ends. She was laughing at something the last girl said. The last girl had curly, pink hair, gold eyes with black retinas, pink skin, and horns. She was 5'2" and was moving her arms sporadically as she was speaking to the other girls. The first by had short, dark blue hair, dark blue eyes, and tan skin. He was sitting perfectly straight as his glasses gleamed from the lights. The other boy had bright red hair, crimson red eyes, and tan skin. He was 5'7" and had very pointy teeth.

"Oh! You're that one girl from the practical exam!" The pink haired girl exclaims when she notices Masami. Masami blushes slightly in embarrassment as the pink haired girl speeds up to Masami and looks up at her with gleaming eyes.

"I didn't think people would recognize me. It's nice to meet you, I'm Monoma Masami," The silver blonde say, hugging her notebook even closer to her chest. The pink haired girl smiles brightly as she moves her arms around in excitement.

"Ashido Mina! It's nice to meet you too, Sami-chan!" The pink skinned girl, now named Mina, exclaims in happiness, Masami blushing at the nickname. The two other girls walked over, a indifferent expression on the dark purple haired girl and a small, polite smile on the black haired girl's face.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you, Monoma-san. My name is Yaoyorozu Momo," The black haired girl, now named Momo, introduces herself. Masami barely contains a flinch at the name. She gives a small smile to Momo.

"Masami is fine, Momo-san. It's nice to meet you too," Masami answers before she focuses on the purple haired girl.

"Jirou Kyoka," She says giving Masami a small smile before returning to get indifferent expression.

"Nice to me-"

"Move out of the way you extras!" A male voice from behind shouts out in anger, making Masami jump slightly before she turns around to see a boy with blonde hair, crimson red eyes, and tan skin. He was slouched and had his hands in his pockets, an angry scowl on his face. Masami felt a small amount of annoyance bubble inside her as she puts a hand on her hip.

"Sorry, I was talking with important people. I'll move when I've finished talking with them," The silver blonde sasses back before she turns back around to face Koji.

"What did you place during the practical exam? I'm sure it was hard if you didn't have many animals near," Masami asks, ignoring the angry yelling from behind her. The blonde stomps past her, growling out profanities as she focuses on Koji's answer. The blonde boy stomps his way to a desk and sits down, lifting his feet on the desk. Masami rolls her eyes at the obvious disrespect the blonde had as she focuses back on her conversation with Koji, Kyoka, Momo, and Mina.

It's the first day of school and she's already made an enemy. Great. She just wanted to listen to the psithurism outside.
