A/N: I know that my first chapter was not that great I hope this chapter is better, seeing as I hope to get help from my English teacher.
I do not own Skyrim.
I woke to the sound of maniacal laughing and complete darkness. I tried moving, but soon learned that I was tied up. Where is everybody else? Are they dead or did they get captured as well? I thought, panicked. I feel someone next to me squirm. I flinched, not realizing anybody was tied up with me. "Hello?" I called into the darkness. I saw shadows moving. "Who's there? You do know I can see you right?"
"Yes, I know that you can see me, Muriel." a deep, raspy, familiar voice replied.
"Who are you, and how do you know my name?"
He does not answer, but I heard the sound of a door closing.
Trembling, I nudged the person next to me and whispered, "Odahviing, is that you?"
"No, it's Maniel, remember?" he grabbed my hand to reassure me.
I had to suppress a laugh. I squirmed around enough to realize that I had my armor still on. Maybe I still have my dagger in my boot, I thought. I wiggled around and stuck my hand in my boot. My dagger is still there! I guess this guy's not as smart as I thought. I pull the dagger out and slowly start cutting the ropes. "Cicero, Blondie, Beardface, Aranea? Are you guys here too?" I yell across the room.
I hear some angry yes's. Good gods! They're alive! The ropes finally break and I get up sneakily, and start cutting the ropes holding the initiates, Cicero, and Aranea. Maniel got up stretched and began looking for our weapons. Soon, we all had our weapons back and were sneaking out of the building.
"Where do you think you're going, Muriel?"
I turn around just in time to block the attack. "Tell me your name, slug-breath."
"You will know soon, love." The stranger says. Now that I can see him, I can say he's good looking, but I don't want to. All of his armor was straight black, and I had never seen the likes of it before.
"Don't call me love!" I slashed at him, but he was gone. He vanished! How is that possible? Shocked, I left without any other problems, but couldn't help but think of how familiar that deep voiced bastard looked.
"Okay guys, let's go." We all start walking as I realize that: 1) Maniel didn't get to tell the girl he loved that he loves her, and 2) We are walking on the warm sands of Elsweyr.
"Oh Maniel you didn't get to tell the girl that you loved her. I'm so sorry." I looked at him sadly.
"It's perfectly fine. Maybe it just wasn't the right time." he looked like he recognized that strange kidnapper as well. "But I do know one thing. That town looks a lot like Falkreath, but we are in Elsweyr not Skyrim."
"So I'm not the only one who noticed that?" Blondie asks.
Idiot! I thought.
"Everyone noticed." Leave it to Aranea to be totally calm while other people were freaking out because the sand "hurts their feet." Then again, I have accidentally set her on fire a couple of times.
I looked at the town, my heart racing as I remembered the nightmare I had in the temple of Kynareth in whiterun. I wondered if it was a vision of the future or just an ordinary dream. I shrugged it off saying it was just a regular, everyday dream. I calmly walked into the town and asked what this city was called.
"This is Verkarth Hills, traveler. I trust your road has led you to warm sands," greeted a friendly Khajiit.
"Yeah, it has." I thanked her and walked around the village.
"Muriel, run!" Maniel yelled from a far behind me.
I turned around saw the guy that kidnapped us, and ran for my life. I turned around again just in time to see him knock out Maniel, and start charging at me. Cicero and the others were nowhere to be seen. I kept running and knew this was exactly like my "dream."
The kidnapper jumped on me, wrestled me to the ground, and kept wrestling me until I fought my way out of his grip. I ran as fast as my dark elf legs could carry me, even though my fate was inevitable. The knife hit me in the back just like I knew it would.
A hand reached out towards me as I fell. Right as I was about to hit the ground (which would have made the knife dig deeper into my back, and essentially kill me) I took it.
"Now that's twice I've saved your life, dovahkiin."
I looked up into hateful crimson eyes and immediately recognized who my kidnapper was. "Drem Yol Lok, Alduin."
His lips touched mine and it felt like a fire rushed through my body. We kissed passionately as Odahviing screamed, "No! Muriel I love you!"
