(Author note: So I followed the traffic of Chapter 1 and was pleased to see it skyrocket over night! That made me so happy. A little wise Fanfic birdie told me that technology has adapted in different ways when it comes to the site and to not feel discouraged when there aren't as many alerts and reviews as there was back 6 years ago. So seeing people come through traffic kinda took that place for me and brought a smile to my face ^^

So here is Chapter 2! I am going to upload Chapter 3 on Sunday! 02/28/16! staaaaay tuned c:

"I cannot believe it is time for you to depart already." Raina said, a trace of sadness in her voice. They were inside Link's house, eating some leftover pumpkin soup she had brought over. The next day around nightfall, he would be leaving.

"Time goes by fast." Link said, watching her play with a spoon inside the bowl. "I promise you won't even notice my absence. I'll be back at home in five days time."

She grimaced at his happy expression.

"It's a shame though, I couldn't convince your parents to let you come with, but it was worth a shot." He said, picking up both of their bowls and dropping them into his kitchen sink.

Raina laughed and stood up. Stretching, she peered over his shoulder. "Please tell me you are going to rinse those out, the whole village will be able to smell it, while you're gone."

"Oh hush." Link said, but he turned on the water and let them fill the bowls before dumping them back out.

"Honestly though, it couldn't be helped. I don't believe for a minute they will ever let me out of this place." She said, sighing.

Something stirred inside Link, before he could stop himself the words came out.

"I love you." Raina blinked, a peculiar expression on her face as if she didn't quite hear him correctly.

"I..."

"No, it's fine, please don't say anything. I am sorry to spring this upon you so suddenly, but I truly love you Raina, and I do not want to leave you. Ever."

"Link..." She whispered, lowering her eyes.

"I have always felt this way, even before Chase... I just didn't realize it, and it is one of my deepest regrets." He said passionately. "I hated him, for stealing you from me. It dawned on me, that I did love you, but I was too late. There has to be something, anything inside you that must feel the same way? This can't just be a one sided thing."

"Link..." She said firmer. He took her cheeks with both hands and stared hard into into her eyes. Before she could react, he pressed his lips against hers. At first, she tried to pull away but it dawned on her the softness of his mouth. His touch so tender, so powerful. A wave of heat washed over her face as she felt his tongue searching her lips for an entrance. With a surrendering sigh she parted her lips and allowed it. Kissing her passionately, his hands caressed her shoulders and her neck. Halting, for a moment, he looked into her eyes for permission. She nodded.

He picked her up with an easy swoop and carried her to his mattress. He turned her around to face away from him and began slowly untying the laces of her dress. He kissed her neck tenderly. Moaning ever so slightly, she lifted her chin, embellishing in these sweet sensations. Flipping her back around, the dress fell down her body, exposing her completely.

Raina didn't appear shy about it, her eyes smoldered intensely as she pulled his shirt above his head and threw it aside. He pressed her down on her back and placed his knees between her thighs, spreading them open. Undoing his pants and sliding them down he looked at her once again. Nodding she placed her hand on his member, guiding it to the right place. Shuddering, he moaned as he slid inside her.

Zelda woke up with a painful groan. Her vision was shaky and dim, probably due to the blow Ganon delivered to her head. Ganon was standing over her buttoning his shirt. She yanked at the collar chained to her neck.

"Must you have me chained up like an animal?" She spat at him. He tutted and pushed her back against the headboard, positioning himself between her thighs again. She fought the urge to flinch.

"Your insolence is getting tiresome." He whispered, winding a strand of her hair tightly around his finger. Suddenly, he grabbed a fist full of it, yanking her neck back violently. Zelda yelped in pain and tried to push him away, but he only tightened his grip. "You're are lucky that I am tired, however much I wish I could teach you another lesson."

He knocked her head against the headboard roughly enough for white spots to dance in her eyes.

"Go to sleep." He commanded, jumping out of the bed and heading to the chamber door. "I want you well rested for tomorrow."

With a menacing grin, he left the room.

The next morning she woke up aching all over. Her face, chest, legs and torso all throbbing painfully where Ganon had struck her. She touched her face gingerly, seething a painful breath. The door clanged open and instinctively, she cowered in the furthest corner of the bed that the chain allowed her.

"You are incredibly beautiful." He said in his rich deep voice. He climbed into the bed next to her, then grabbed her bruised cheek.

"You will thank me when I compliment you." He said, leering at her naked body.

Snapping, she bit his hand, drawing blood.

"Fucking bitch!" He yelped, backhanding her as hard as he could. He proceeded to climb on top of her.

"Please… No… Not again…" She whimpered. I can't show weakness... I can't show weakness. She thought to herself desperately. He pulled off his trousers and placed her hand on his growing erection.

He ripped her knees apart and ran his fingers up her thighs, while she squeezed her eyes shut. He used a long, sharp fingernail to slice her skin open.

"It's a beautiful color." He said, watching the blood drip from his fingertips. He put it in his mouth. "The taste of a goddess."

He positioned himself, hovering over her and grabbed her neck. Leaning down, he kissed her breasts and bit into her nipples; she refused to react, no matter how much she wanted to scream. She felt him prodding at her entrance and tried to go to a place far away as he rammed inside her. It was harder to ignore this time, the pain was far too intense and the more excited he became, the more he increased the pressure on her neck.

Groaning, he picked up the pace, continually slamming harder and harder into her. She couldn't breathe and after several more painful moments, she lost consciousness.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in." She spoke up in a hoarse voice, attempting to sit up. Her arms felt too weak and loose, so she slouched back down. The door opened and Impa entered the room. She stopped, her eyes wide in shock.

"Dear…" She whispered. She walked over to Zelda's bed and curled her arms around her. Zelda couldn't help but dissolve into sobs. Impa held her tight, while she buried her face in her chest, flinching slightly from the pain.

There was a knock on his front door and Link had just shoved the last of his supplies in a small pack.

"It's open." He yelled. The door opened with a homely creak and Laura stepped through the threshold. Link looked up.

"Hello, Link." She said. There was something different about her that struck him as odd, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"What's up?" He said, with a crooked grin.

"Nothing." She responded idly, looking straight into his eyes. Link offered her a chair to which she obliged.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Why did you do it?" She asked, anger breaking through in her voice.

"What are you talking about?" Link said, eyes widening.

"You slept with her." She said angrily.

Link stood up and smoothed down his shirt. He grabbed an apple out of a basket from the counter.

"That's none of your business Laura." He said calmly. "Who told you that?"

"I overheard her telling Chase." She responded, looking away defiantly.

"She told Chase?" Caught off guard, he felt a jealous bubble rise up to this throat. Why on earth would she tell Chase? Shaking it off, he repeated. "Nevermind, like I said, it's none of your business."

"Whatever, Link." She said angrily. "She doesn't even love you."

The words sunk home more than they should have.

"Why would you say something like that, Laura?" Trying to mask the hurt in his voice, he turned back to her.

"Because!" She spat at him, "I know for a fact she's still in love with Chase!" Gritting his teeth, he set the apple back down. He stood there silent for a moment, then murmured,"How could you possibly know something like that?"

"I've seen them talking and kissing in secret, and she went to him after it happened. She cried." She added in a haughty tone.

"I see."

"Anyways, I have to go." She ran off. Link watched her back as she left.

He sank down into his chair and stared at the wall. Time ticked by and he still hadn't moved. If she loved him, why would she...?

He shook his head. Laura must have heard wrong, Raina wanted him. He felt it.

Then why would she make that up? A little voice inside his head whispered sheepishly.

The truth rang loud and clear. Caught up in a moment of passion that she clearly regretted.

"I'm a god damn fool." He exclaimed angrily. He pounded his fist through the table, shattering the corner into splinters. Ignoring the pain, he gathered up his bags and took one last look at his home before shutting the door and locking it tight.

He ran stealthily toward the Ranch and carefully climbed the wooden fence. He found Epona grazing on a small patch of fresh grass near the back. The sweet ebony horse neighed at him as he approached. He patted her flank.

"We're leaving a night early, old girl, ready for an adventure?" The horse snorted in response. After hooking up his bags to her saddle, he climbed on her. Kicking his heels gently into her side her urged her forward, out the gate and out of the town.

"I think it is time for you to make your escape, my young Queen." Impa said to Zelda, throwing traveling clothes together in her pack. "You have to leave swiftly before Ganondorf notices you are missing. Nina is standing watch outside this room she will warn us if he is coming. When he does come, I will distract him. There is a secret way out of this room." She walked over to the stone wall and knocked on it. The stone moved inwards revealing a well hidden tunnel. "It leads down into the tavern of Castle Town."

"I do not want you to do anything that would get you hurt, Impa… Not over me." Zelda said, helping her pack the food provisions that Impa had snuck into her room from the kitchens.

"It is my job to protect you, and I will do so even at the cost of my own life. You are everything I have, Zelda." Impa said placing her hand on her shoulders. "I wouldn't be able to live even if something did happen to you on some failure of my part. Hyrule needs you. Be strong for your country."

Zelda reached up and kissed Impa's forehead. Her tired old wrinkled eyes were filled with so much love and so many memories for her. Leaving her best friend behind...

"You were like a mother to me, dear old friend. It breaks my heart, but you are right. I will forge the Triforce once again and banish Ganon to the netherworld."

They stood there for a few moments embracing each other. Wiping away Zelda's tears, she pushed her towards the secret exit.

"I will go south to Faron." Zelda said. A loud shattering noise outside the bed chamber caused them both to jump. Freezing in their place, they could hear Nina apologizing profusely.

"I am so sorry, my King, my hands are just getting so weak with age, my joints are just not how they used to be!"

"Pick up that mess this instant! You are lucky I don't have you killed for your uselessness, you stupid woman!" Ganon's voice boomed angrily.

Impa closed the bag and threw it into the tunnel.

"Go! Now!" Zelda hesitated but Impa shoved her inside. She smiled sadly at her young charge and shut the door behind her, leaving Zelda alone in the darkness.

She picked up the bag and without hesitation, made her way down the drafty tunnel.

Link rode through the majestic trees of Faron woods. Moonlight glittered through the breaks in the deep dark leaves above. The air smelled of pine and cedar: an intoxicating scent. Link breathed the scent in deeply and exhaled in satisfaction. He was at home here in the woods. Up ahead the soothing rippling sound of the Faron spring reached his ears.

Epona clopped toward the spring to take a drink. Link stroked her silky mane mane fondly. She deserved a good rest. They had been traveling for a couple hours without stopping. She lowered her head and lapped up the refreshing water. Link dismounted the horse and reached into his pack that was attached to her flank for a carrot. He fed Epona the carrot, when she lifted her proud head hopefully. Snorting in expectation, she chomped into it gratefully as he patted her head.

"We've got a long journey to Hyrule Castle." He told her. She snorted again, then suddenly lifted her head erect, her ears perked. She glared into the darkness suspiciously, a nervous sound rumbling in her throat. "What is it?" He looked to where she stared, then heard it. There

was a rustling in the bushes.

"Who's there?" A man rose out of the bushes. He had short golden brown hair, eyes a bright gold and blue hazel. He adjusted the strap on his broad shoulders and approached Link.

"Chase? What are you doing here?" Link, irritation bubbling in his chest. Chase rolled his eyes and pulled the reigns of a dark stallion behind him.

"I followed you." He responded.

"Why would you do that?" Link said, dipping his water skein into the spring and filling it up. Screwing on the cap he slid it into the side pocket of his bag.

"I saw you leaving and you seemed kinda pissed so I followed. We need to talk."

"And I left a day early so I wouldn't have to talk to you or anyone else for that matter." Link said, "If you excuse me, I have somewhere to be and this little interaction is wasting my time."

"Look, man, I'm sorry, okay?" Chase said, grabbing Link's arm before he could mount Epona. Link yanked it away and pushed him back. "Link, I'm trying to apologize to you, you could at the very least indulge me in that."

"I don't owe you shit." Link said, angrily, shoving him back again. "I can't even fucking look at you. I can't even picture her face without feeling sick to my stomach."

"I'm sorry." Chase said, taking a deep breath. "Look, I'm not gonna fight you. You can be mad at me all you want, but don't take this out on her. She really cares."

"Whatever." Link mounted Epona and guided her back to the path. "You satisfied? You got to say what you had to say, and you have Raina. Tell her I'm not coming back. I'm done with this god damn town."

"You don't mean that." Chase said, climbing on his own horse. "And I'm coming with you."

"What?" Link stuttered in disbelief. "Like hell you are, turn around go back."

"Raina had a bad feeling, she told me to come with you." Chase said, something about his matter of fact tone pissed Link off.

"Then you can tell her that I threatened to kill if you follow me." Link said, mocking Chase's tones. "And don't think for a second I won't."

"Yeah" Chase said, "So just destroy everything you guys had. Look, I'm not happy about what happened between you guys, but you know what? I love her. I fucking love her, and I can't stand to see her hurting over some asshole too absorbed in his own self righteous pity party act to respect the wishes of the woman he supposedly loved. Be a fucking man."

Chase urged his horse forward towards Ordon, leaving Link to his racing thoughts.

Link knew his pride was getting in the way of his judgment, and some part of him urged him not to care, but he could see Raina in his mind's eye. No matter how angry he was, causing her pain was the last thing he wanted to do.

"HEY!" Link shouted over to Chase, who stopped in his tracks and looked behind at him. "How much does it mean to her that you come anyways?"

"More than you know, man." Chase called back. Link exhaled, exasperated. Cursing to himself, he spoke up.

"Fine then, but don't hold me back."

Chase flashed a condescending smile and galloped quickly to catch up to him.

"Bout damn time." He said, smacking the back of Link's shoulder. "Let's do this thing, Pan could use a little fun." He said, patting his horse's head, who snorted and shook his head.

"Your Majesty?!" The bartender, Ingo, jumped in surprise at the sight of Zelda climbing out of the secret passageway and into a room at the Tavern. He was in the middle of doing inventory. He had black bushy eyebrows, a thick mustache and beard, and dark muddy brown eyes.

"Hello Ingo... It's been a while." Zelda whispered, "I urge you to be quiet though."

Ingo bowed his head and took her hand, helping her climb the rest of the way out of the hole. He eyed her bruises, eyes widening in shock. "What in the world happened?"

Zelda somberly explained her ordeal in the castle. Ingo's eyes flashed in anger, then fear.

"Good God, what will become of the land." He whispered, massaging his temples.

"Ganon doesn't want to go public quite yet, I think the people will be safe for now... But I urge you to be cautious. As for me, I am going on a secret quest." Zelda said. "So, please, keep my presence in here quiet. I do not want Ganon to know of this passageway. There's been too much bloodshed on my behalf already."

"I wouldn't dare betray your majesty, on my eternal soul." Ingo said, fiercely puffing out his chest.

"Thank you, Ingo." Zelda said, relieved at his confidence. "Please, may I get changed?"

He bowed deeply, and left her to her privacy.

Left to her own, Zelda gingerly took off her gown. She peered into a dusty mirror to her right and braided her hair down her back. A few wisps hung in front of her face. She was perspiring from the long trek down that tunnel, and it was stuffy in this room. She blew her hair out of her face and looked closely at her appearance. Her face was shining with sweat, and her bright green eyes looked weary. She felt as if she had aged lifetimes. She winced when she caught sight of the bruises covering her naked body.

Her magic felt weak, but she managed to summon some focus, heated power. Lightly pressing her hand against her bruises. The heat melted into her skin, but she was disappointed when she only managed to make them fade into a slight discoloration.

She dug in her pack and brought out some tight, black leather pants and shirt and stuffed the dress inside in return. Pulling on her clothes, she sighed in relief that she looked somewhat whole again.

She attempted to tug down the tight leather top with no success. Her chest had filled out a little more since she last wore this outfit, and her midriff was uncomfortably bare. She tied her cloak around her neck and pulled up the hood which cast a shadow over her face. Satisifed, she left the room and joined Ingo in the main bar area, where he was mopping up the tables to prepare for opening shop.

"I must take my leave now, Ingo." Zelda said, throwing her bag over her shoulder and strapping it tight. "Where is the nearest armory?"

Bowing his head, he opened up the tavern door. "Just go up the stairs, take a right and you'll enter the southern district. Follow the main road towards the Town Square, it should be in the corner on the left." Zelda stepped out of the tavern.

"Thank you for your loyalty." She said, turning away and proceeding up the stairs he called to her.

"May the gods protect you." He cried out.

May the gods spare us all... She thought to herself bitterly.

"How long til we make it to Hyrule Fields?" Chase asked, trotted at a safe distance from Link and Epona.

"Not too long, I think." Link answered, looking up. The sky was still dark, but toward the eastern horizon, he could see the faint light of dawn. It was probably about six in the morning.

Up ahead was a small hut. There was a man sitting on tree stump in front of it. He was stirring inside a mounted pot over a roaring campfire.

Riding closer, they got a closer look at his appearance. He was a quirky looking man, a towering brunette afro, with, oddly enough, a bird nest nestled at the top.

He had a long and prominent nose. His eyes were small and beady. An owl hooted in the distance, and he hooted back in response.

"Is that guy insane or something?" Chase whispered as they dismounted their horses.

"Just be polite." Link whispered back. They approached the man who lifted up his head and looked about.

"Hello? Who's there?" The man said, he had a high voice, similar to that of a prepubescent boy, despite the fact he looked about forty.

"Sorry, we scared you, sir, we are just going to be on our way out of these woods." Link said.

"Who goes there? What's your name?" The man stood up and picked up a large branch. Link and Chase backed up with there hands protectively in front.

"My name is Link, and this man is named Chase, we are from Ordon." Link gestured to Chase who looked as if he didn't know whether or not to fight the man or not.

"Ah! Ordonians!" The man exclaimed, dropping the branch. He picked up a few bowls next to him and filled them up with the mixture from the pot. "Happy to meet the local townsfolk, where are you boys heading off to?"

"Castle Town." Chase said.

"That's a long journey."

"We have a package to deliver to the royal family."

"I see, well my name is Gordon." Gordon introduced himself. "My great, great, great, great, and about twenty other greats, grandfather built this place. In my family history it is said that he helped a great hero who had the power to turn into a great blue eyed wolf. He helped him save the world from a mask of twilight."

"Interesting." Link said. Chase covered up a cough.

"It sure is, well, anyways, the hero who turned into the beast had the help of a little imp, it turns out she was the queen of some distant and mystical realm called-"

"I don't mean to be rude, Gordon, but Chase and I have to be on our way, it has been a long night." Link said hastily.

"Oh, sure!" Gordon exclaimed. "Would you like some soup?" He picked up the bowls he finished filling and held them out. Before they could reject the gesture, he added, "I must insist, a family recipe, and very rejuvenating to the soul."

"Why not." Chase said. They took the bowls. Link spooned some into his mouth, but as soon as it touched his tastebuds, he choked. The smell was putrid and it tasted absolutely revolting. He choked it down his throat, coughing all the way. Chase looked at him curiously, not quite touching his bowl yet. Amusement flashed in his eyes. After Link got his wits about him, he smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry, it went down the wrong pipe."

"Oh, no worries." Gordon said, smiling wide. The owl hooted in the distance, he hooted right back.

"Okay, then." Chase smirked and cleared his throat. "Well, um, thanks for the meal, but we gotta get going now." Chase said, lifting the bowl up in thanks, then putting it on the ground in front of Gordon.

"But you haven't finished your soup!" Gordon protested.

"It's alright, I agree, we must leave." Link said, laying down his bowl. They mounted their horses once again and waved goodbye.

"Goodbye Ordonians! Be careful out there! There is a change in the wind!" Gordon called out.

As they exited the forest, the sky began to turn lighter and lighter as dawn approached.

"Thank you, sir, have a nice day." Zelda shouted behind her as she left the weaponry shop. She had poison needles in a case that wrapped around her right arm, and a sword and several daggers holstered to her hip She also had an electric whip, the merchant said that if she whipped it at someone, it would send out a shocking wave, that could incapacitate.

Surely this should be enough to protect myself, then once I heal up my magic should become more stable as well. She thought, sighing.

The sun was at the noon point in the sky and the town was bustling once again. She made her way back down the southern district.

Weaving in and out of the crowds, she accidentally collided into someone.

"Oh sorry, young lady." Came a deep voice. He was heavily cloaked, his dark eyes glinting. He turned back around but she put her hand on his shoulder.

"Excuse me, sir." He looked back at her, or rather at her chest.

"Yes?"

"My money purse seems to be missing." Zelda held out her hand, palm up. He grinned, revealing a mouth full of yellow teeth.

"Oh, you must have misplaced it." He shrugged out of her grab but she caught him again.

"Or you could have taken it when you bumped into me." He looked her up and down, his eyes lingering on her exposed cleavage.

She put a fingernail under his chin and lifted his face up to gaze into his eyes, his hood fell back revealing a greasy mat of long black hair.

"You might want to think about keeping your eyes up." She pulled out one of her poison needles and held it pointed underneath his Adam's apple.

"This needle's tip is poison, if I prick you just even a little bit, you would drop dead in just ten seconds." His eyes widened in fear.

"Now give me back my money, sir." Zelda's voice was filled with menace. He threw the purse back at her. Running away he called out.

"You crazy bitch, who do you think you are? Queen of Hyrule?"

"That's exactly who I think I am…" She muttered to herself. Once I get my kingdom back, I will make sure all criminals are banished from this town. She thought to herself as she picked up and replaced her purse.

She passed several small markets as she crossed the southern district, finally approaching the Southern Gates where two soldiers stood guard.

"Where are you going young lady?" One of them said, holding his hand out to halt her.

"I am leaving town." Zelda responded lightly. "Let me pass."

"I'm afraid not, little miss. It's dangerous out there." The other guard said, eyeing her up and down.

"I am glad to see that the guards of Hyrule are doing their job." They grinned, she flashed her weapons. "As you can see I am well prepared for any trouble and highly trained in combat."

They leered at her weaponry for a moment.

"You heard the girl." One shrugged to the other. They moved aside allowing her exit.

Shutting the doors behind her, she gazed out. Ahead, down some broad stairs and a decorated fountain, there were some distant cliffs that shadowed a path to the Southern Hyrule Fields.

She closed her eyes for a moment, grasping the Triforce of Wisdom that hung around her neck. She felt it's power radiating inside her fist. She allowed herself a moment to concentrate and then she felt it. A green light inside herself, pulling her in the direction of Faron. It seems the goddesses are still on my side after all.

She began to make her way, shrugging up her heavy gear.

"My god, why don't I have a horse." She complained. On foot, it would be approximately two days time before she would make it to the entrance of Faron.
