Chapter 1:

Haley James laid quietly on her bed thinking about the week to come. Her and her friends were going camping up at her camp. Where her long time crush, Nathan Scott, and his family would also be. She'd liked him for years but he never thought of her as anything more than a friend. She knew of his reputation, that he was a player, but she still couldn't help her feelings towards him. Rinnnngggg riiiinnnngggg She was snapped out of her thoughts by her cell phone ringing.

"Hello?" Haley said into the phone

"Hey girly, what are you doing?" Rachel replied cheerfully

"Attempting to pack for our camping trip tomorrow, you?" Haley said looking around at her half packed suitcase

"I'm with Brooke…outside of your house!" Rachel said laughing

With that I slowly got out of bed to look out the window. I saw Brooke's car in my driveway I started laughing this was just like them.

"What would you guys have done if I hadn't been home?" Haley asked still laughing as she watched them through the window.

"Then we would have just hang out with Lucas..just kidding…anyway you are home so it's all good."

"Ugh, come on get your asses up here!" With that Haley flipped her phone shut and tossed it on her bed. As Brooke and Rachel entered her house she continued slowly packing her suitcase for their trip.

"This weekend is going to be awesome!" Brooke exclaimed walking into the room flinging herself onto Haley's bed.

"I know! Oh My God!! I forgot to tell you guys…my parents are leaving us there during the week because they have to work!" Haley said excitedly. Rachel and Brooke looked at each other with evil grins on their face Haley knew what was coming—

"PARTY!!" Brooke and Rachel yelled at the same time causing them all to laugh.

"So Haley is lover boy going to be there?!" Brooke asked grinning knowing the answer.

Haley just let out a frustrated sigh before talking.. "Yes, he will be there…and for the last time don't call him that because I don't like him anymore, we are just friends!" Haley said getting mad about the topic.

Brooke laughed "By the look on you face its clear that you STILL want him!"

"Brooke! Leave Haley alone! And stop trying to play match maker it always ends badly!" Rachel said giving Brooke a glare. Then turned her attention back to Haley

"Don't worry Hales you'll find a good guy that deserves you,…you don't need Nathan Scott!" Rachel said hugging her best friend.

"Thanks Rach" Haley said

The room was quiet for a minute then Haley broke the silence. "What you you guys doing here anyway,….. not that I don't love seeing you." Haley added with laugh

"What we can't stop by just to see one of bestest friends!" …Haley just looked at her "Okay, Okay..we were bored." Rachel said with a smile

"Come on, I've had enough packing let's go watch a movie" both girls just nodded and followed Haley out of the room.
