Author's Note

I'm sorry to disappoint those who thought I'd have another chapter up, but this story is a one-shot. The reason I've made this note is to tell those who have already read my story that I have updated it since the date I first published it (2006), and to get it out there a little more.

The past three days I spent almost completely rewriting this story, and it's much better than the previous version. So I'd love for anyone who has already read it to read it again, and I'm always grateful for new readers.

This story is written kind of differently; I tried to make the tone more Tolkien-y so I hope you catch up on that, and the first version was (though I hate to admit it) Mary-Sueish. I did my absolute best to wipe that from the new version.
