"So, where do we go now?"
"I..Honestly don't know..." The rasp in his voice was potent. To Light it was like a posion. The tang of copper had all but left his mouth. Shifting his gaze to the large sunroof, he saw that it was covered in snow. The snow laid perfectly untouched outside of the small brick apartment building. The winter was cold and desolate. No one dared go out in the previous snow storms. Turning his gaze once again he saw the blood stained carpet. Blood now seemed like an ascess layer of carpet. Neither figure spoke, they both sat there, lifeless.
"Can we fix it?" The voice was pained and cold. It was Light's. He blinked hard and waited for the sigh and one word answer. The silence lingered, it's presence was irratible. "I..I have no idea..Do you want to fix it?" An iridescent gleam was seen in both's eyes. "What were we fighting about anyway? My head hurts too much to remember." Light said rubbing his temples with two fingers. "I barely remember as well, you punched me a little too hard. I think you killed some brain cells." L said trying to humor the other boy. Light gave a half-hearted laugh.

"Why do I put up with you?" Light screamed breaking the errie silence that had befallen. "I don't know, why do you?" L spat trying to stay calm, even though the mask was wearing thin. He had just been called out onto a case in Germany. Light hated the idea and was infuriated when L shrugged off his plea to be the 'stow away' (1)
"Heh. Oh yeah, because I don't want to be executed!" L frowned and got up. Shifting over to the other figure. He raised his pale fist and punched him in the jaw. "Well, if you feel that way it's only a phone call away, Kira-kun." He smirked and watched the other boy yank his leg, forcing him to the ground. Light pinned L to the ground almost breaking his wrists in the proscess. "You wouldn't dare, you damn basterd!" Venom dripped from his voice. "How can you be so sure?" L tried to hide a cold laugh.
