BAM. Second chapter. 2 of 3.

This chapter is considerably shorter than the last. I am aware of that. Makes me sad, but... well... Anyways, I'm sure that the third (and final) chapter will be much longer. Because if you know me, you know I LOVE me some long-ass, extensive chapters. It's my thing. I think this one may be short, just because I started to burn out towards the end. That, and I was going back and forth between writing, and doing my U.S. Govt homework. Dude, I love my country and all, but DAMN, the finer intricacies of our government is boring as hell! I mean, I managed to spend the entire govt. period sleeping at one point! Missed out on a lot of note-taking that day...

But I digress.

So, same characters, same names, same dilemma, same shit. Third and final chapter comes after this. Granted, I haven't even really started the third chapter yet, but I'm getting there! That, and I'm also working on another fic, including Mattie and Al, and a whole bunch of chocolate. It's been a while since I've whipped something up about our favorite dysfunctional twins (Not Feli and Antonio. I said dysfunctional, not cute~!). Maybe, since it's so close to Halloween, maybe I can try a little Halloween fic with Peter and the cool kids! Oh man, so many ideas and plans swirling in my head! So little time!

But again, I digress.

Ready to read? YAAAAAY! :DD

Right before the beginning of class, Peter decided to clue in his favorite cousin on the plan.

"C'mere for a second," he whispered, latching onto Wy's arm and hauling her to one side. Having a strange distaste for being touched, she slapped him hard on the hand, until he released her.

"Whaddya' want?" she hissed, leaning in.

"I got a plan! It's good, too! Well…it's kinda good, anyways," Peter whispered back, eyes gleaming in enthusiasm. "If it's a good plan, then those cool kids will think we're also cool, for sure!"

Wy scowled darkly in response. "Again with those fiddling ankle-biters? Why don't ya' just quit it with 'em all?"

Peter ignored her protests, and went on with his explanation. "You know what Mattie said I should do? He said I should invite them all over! Then we could all play together, and then they'll see how fun we can be!"

"I don't think I've ever heard a worse idea in my life…" Wy said simply.

"Yeah, well, you haven't lived very long, have you?" Peter shot back. And with that, both children shuffled to their desks, taking their seats as Mr. Edelstein began class for the day.

Throughout the day, and into snack-time, Peter was almost bursting with excited suspense. What would the cool kids say? What would they think? Would they come over, like he asked? Or would they all just laugh in his face, and tell him to leave?

He hoped not. Some of the cool kids looked much too nice to do that to him. But that didn't mean that they wouldn't reject him! Oh, how he feared that! Especially because he absolutely knew that Hutt wouldn't let him down easily. Oh no. Hutt would rub rejection in his face, shove it into his cuts and bruises, and stuff it down his throat and force him to throw it back up, so he could look at it.

The wrath of a vindictive Hutt was a fearful one. As tough as he tried to appear, Peter wasn't sure if he could handle too much of Hutt's mockery. The only 4th grader unafraid of him was Wy, and that was because she was crazy.

"Oi! Quit bein' sad, ya' nong!" Wy said, jabbing her cousin in the forehead with her pretty, brand-new, Disney princess pencil (It was her pride and joy!). "You' makin' me all fluttery inside with all that worryin'!"

Snapping out of his funk, Peter resurfaced, to find Wy staring straight at him, stuffing her face with horribly bland rice-cakes.

"Well, do you think our plan is gonna' be any good?" Peter asked, grabbing one of her rice-cakes and eating it, despite the tastelessness.

"Jingoes! Again with the questions!" Wy sighed, spraying rice-cake bits all over her desk, "Beats me, Peetah! If they like the idea, then they like it! If they don't, then oh well."

Peter hummed in approval. She had a point. He could only ask, and hope that the others like the idea as much as he did. It probably wouldn't be the end of the world. If anything, he and Wy could always go back to playing 'Emotionally Dysfunctional Relationship' again. Maybe, they could even switch up the roles next time! He could be the overly-dependent, manic depressive boyfriend, and she could be the bi-polar, pseudo-abusive girlfriend with intense commitment issues!

Suddenly, Peter felt a lot calmer than he did before.

"Ugh…" Hutt groaned, seeing his sister and cousin approach him, "You two again? Didn't we tell you both to get lost?"

Undaunted, Peter gave a pleasing grin. "Yeah, but you gotta listen to what I gotta ask you. Promise it won't take too much time!"

As tempted as he was to just send them both packing, Hutt decided looked around. The other gang members seemed interested in what his cousin had to say, so he went with the general consensus and allowed them to speak.

"Make it quick," he sniffed, leaning back onto the rock and closing his eyes.

"Okay, so what I wanna say is, I'm inviting all of you guys over to my house, this Friday! My brother says that play dates are fun, and that I should invite you guys over!" Peter said, jumping in place, "I mean, you can come only if you feel like it. You don't have to come, if you don't wanna…"

"Good. Because I don't want to." Hutt said, glaring at his cousin through narrowed brown eyes. Peter almost ran away at the look. At that moment, Hutt looked more like an angry Alfred and a frightening Matthew on a horribly bad day, rather than the bratty brother of Wy and Oliver Kirkland. "I don't like going to your house. Your side of the family is real stupid."

"Hey!" Peter shouted, fuzzy eyebrows shooting upwards, "Your side is pretty weird too! Just look at Wy –no offense, Wy– and Ollie! Wy likes watching Scandinavian dramas with questionably homosexual main characters, and Ollie wrestles bears and alligators while we're at school!"

Hutt simply gave him another withering glare, before rolling onto his side. "Whatever. I still don't like you guys. Plus, only some of your brothers have the name 'Kirkland'. If they don't have our name, then they shouldn't be part of our family."

"You shut up!" Peter said loudly, stomping his foot. "Arthur says that our mom used to 'get around a lot', so that's why we all got different names! Obviously, she traveled around a lot, and picked out names she liked more than 'Kirkland'!"

At that moment, Wy decided to step in. "Peetah, I think that Artie means that your mommy liked to have a lot of boyfriends."

"Also, you live with that weirdo French guy. He's scary. He looks at people funny. Real funny…" Hutt added, counting the list of infractions in his fingers. "I don't wanna go there."

"HEY! Shuddup, ya' ratbag!" Wy shouted, cutting her brother off. She then turned her fearsome gaze towards the other children, who had decided to remain silent throughout the whole familial ordeal. "So, you guys wanna' come over, or not?"

"We'll have a lot of fun! We'll play games, and eat food, and all sorts of stuff!" Peter stuck in.

Hutt excluded, the whole gang seemed to ponder the idea.

"Ve~… Is there going to be… food?" the awkwardly tall Italian boy, Sebastian, asked, popping a goldfish cracker into his mouth. "I really do want to come, if there will be food! Better yet, I'd love to bake something!"

"I like food very much!" the little Asian boy, Niko, proclaimed loudly, "I hope you have eggs at your home, Peter-san. I enjoy eggs very much!" He smiled, clapping his hands together.

Maximilian, Mr. Edelstein's little cousin, sniffed in distain. "Can you two do anything without thinking about food? It makes you look greedy." He then turned a scathing, violet-eyed gaze onto Peter and Wy. "Will there be any activities geared towards artists, at your home? Anything with the aim of creating aesthetically pleasing artworks?"

Peter and Wy blinked cluelessly.

"He's askin' if we can do painting at your house." Oxenstierna said, interpreting the prodigy's words. "Also, what about sports? You guys gonna' do that? 'Cuz I do love me some football. I'll come if there's football involved."

Excitedly, Peter nodded. "YES! Yes! We can do painting, and football, and baking, and everything! We can do whatever! It'll be fun!"

"So you guys are comin'?" Wy said, almost in disbelief.

"I know I will, Wy-chan!" Niko said, raising a hand.

"Ve~, me too! It'll be plenty much fun!" Sebastian said, raising his hand as well.

Giving a polite nudge, Niko whispered a calm "I believe it's 'plenty of fun', Vargas-sama."

"Ve~, thank you Niko!" Sebastian whispered in response, giggling all the while.

"Well? What about you, ya' bloody dummies?" Wy asked, pointing at Oxenstierna and Max.

Turning away, Maximilian took time to adjust his beret and re-do one of his braids, before he deigned to answer the girl. "I guess, if my schedule clears up by that time. In between violin, piano, and flute lessons, I think I may be able to stick you in."

Oxenstierna, on the other hand, greeted both Wy and Peter with a smile. "Sure, I'll come! Only if you promise me a good game of football! It's fun to play against different people sometimes!"

Peter and Wy let out a tiny grin. This was it! Finally, the cool kids wanted to hang out with them!

"And you?" Peter asked, looking at the final boy, Mike. He sat up against a tree, a few feet away from the rest of the gang, sunglasses still perched on his face. Although being questioned, Mike remained silent.

"Mike doesn't really like to talk, unless he feels like it." Oxenstierna said, "But I'm sure he wants to go too! It's just that he's too cool to talk to people."

"Well then, she'll be apples!" Wy said, clapping her hands together, "A play-date on Friday!"

The children all cheered (save Maximilian, Hutt, and Mike, because they were all either too refined, or too cool to cheer), happy at the fact that they had something fun to do on the weekend.

Sighing, Hutt rolled his eyes and turned in the other direction. He knew how stupid his family was, and he knew how stupid the whole play-date was going to be. Also, he was slightly burned by the fact that his gang members had reached a decision without his approval. The nerve of them! No matter though, because once they set foot in the Kirkland home, they would soon realize how much of a mistake they had made.

But for now? Whatever.

Stupid Peter. Stupid Wy. Stupid everybody else.

And thus concludes chapter 2.

How do you find the characters? Isn't Niko quaint? Isn't Sebastian (Seborga) adorable? Isn't Hutt just a plain ol' miserable jackass? XDD

Chapter 3 is coming soon~ Very soon~
