Chapter 2: School

Lila sat in front of her mirror, brushing her hair while giving her usual "lecture" glare, to Edara who was snoring, drooling on her pillow.

'How can she sleep, after that fight?' Lila placed her brush beside her perfumes and went to Edara. "Wake up, Edara." Lila tried to wake up the lazy girl.

Taping her foot on the ground, Lila was starting to get impatient. "EDARA" She screamed, just to receive a growl and a few colored words. "Edara, you need to get up." Her best friend and roommate pulled the covers. "You're going to be late."

"I'm Kaien's daughter. I must have privileges." She said clearly, in a grumpy state.

"No, you don't have it. " Lila's patience was almost snapping. "You're such a lazy girl." She slapped Edara's leg. "Now get up. You need to get a shower, eat your breakfast and meet the teachers."

Growl.

"Edara" Lila called looking back at the sleeping girl. "Edara!"

"What?"

"Get up"

"No"

Placing her hands on her hips, Lila asked. "Don't you think that it's too early to your childish behavior?"

"And don't you think that you should be already dressed?" Edara remarked receiving a glare. "Well you- *squeak* GET OUT!" Lila angrily screamed to Kapoz who was looking at them through their window.

Kapoz sly smirk made finally Lila's patience snap. "PERV" she tossed one of her slippers, failing her target. Laughing, he started to make funny faces. "OH, that's it." She started to run to his direction and pushed him. They heard his scream and a huge splash sound.

"So who's being childish now?" Edara asked rubbing her eyes.

"I'm not acting childishly"

"Well it wasn't me who pushed Kapoz this time"

"Fine, 10 minutes." Lila sighed and went to her closet, bringing her school uniform.

"15 minutes."

"I said 10 and its 10," Lila said annoyed.

"Huuhhhhh, 20 minutes." Edara pulled the covers again.

"No, it's 10. Don't make me call Zero."

"Tsk." Edara hid under the covers like a turtle.

Watching Lila dressing her socks, Edara asked making her best friend fume. "Is that cellulite?"

"Fine, 20 minutes. Then you will hurry up." Lila glared heading to their bathroom.

"Ehehe, Edara you're a genius" The lazy girl went back to sleep. However to her displeasure she started to have a nightmare.

A horrible nightmare.

Night class

After the last night comments and especially after the fight, Kaname the pureblood vampire locked himself in his room. Not wanting to share a word with anyone, not less treat his wounds. How is it possible, for someone like him, lower that level?

Sunrays shone through his huge glassed window making him look more radiant. The dark red curtains were open, he was recalling the time she was a sweet little girl towards him. With his arm pressed on the window, he rested his forehead against it.

He just wants to be happy.

"When did you stop being that sweet little girl, Edara?" He whispered. "When?" Rage rising he opened his eyes promptly as Zero image haunted his vision.

He was that cause.

A knock on the door snapped him, from his thoughts.

Knock…Knock

…

"Kaname-sama?" Takuma called. "Kaname"

…

Everyone was outside, waiting for Kaname's answer. But nothing came.

"Hn. Let me try." Aido said pushing Takuma aside, and pressing his ear on the door."Hanabusa!"

"Shush. I heard something." Without warning Kaname opened the door and Aido feel upwards. "Oh…huh…Kaname-sama" He quickly got up "We-"

"No need, Aido. I'm fine." He said with his usual tone. "Everyone, return to the dorms."

"Kaname-sama." Ruka called worried.

"I said, I'm fine. Got to sleep, Ruka"

"No." She said firmly. All the vampires looked at her bewilder. Did they heard right? Did Ruka just refuse to accept her leader's orders?

"I will sleep more relaxed, knowing that Kaname-sama's wounds would be treated." She didn't look at his eyes.

"Ruka!" Takuma called, but quickly quiet down seeing that, Kaname stepped aside to let Ruka enter.

"All of you go to sleep." Then he closed the door. Everyone returned to their respective dorms. But just Kain stayed there, looking at the door.

"Ruka." Her name whispered sweetly.

Zero's room

Zero's wounds stung while he was trying to seat in the edge of the bed. He cursed Kaname for everything. He even cursed him in his dreams. He was in a bad shape, but he left that bat in a nice condition too. After all, he was the one who started. Well sort of.

Knock

…

Knock, Knock

…

Knoc-

"Who is it?" He asked in a bad humor.

"It's open"

He hated when this type of things happened.

Mumbling some colorful words, Zero got up, making an effort to open the door. Seriously, he doesn't even know why he's heading to the door. "I said it was ope-" He stopped his sentence and saw Edara standing there crying.

"Edara?" He called, opening the door fully.

She didn't answer. Her bangs were shadowing her eyes. He just saw the marks of her tears making their way down her pretty girl face, her shoulders moving up and down and her teeth marks on her lower lip.

"Edara." He called again, just to receive low whimpers.

"Eda-" Zero winced in pain, feeling her slim arms squeezing his body, while she buried her face in his chest crying.

None of them spoke. Zero ignored the pain, and hugged Edara back. He totally forgot the pain, and focused on comforting Edara. Her laugh…he missed her laugh. Between her cries, she whispered several times "Forgive me, forgive me."

He didn't understand what she meant, but he really didn't care. 'I will forgive you, if you stay here with me.' His voice echoed in his head, resting his chin on her head, and with his right hand, he closed the door, as the darkness of his room, engulfed them both.

Kaien's office

The headmaster was looking at the files in front of him, but he wasn't paying attention at all. The remains of the destruction from last night events were being repaired. He knew between those two, peace is impossible, but he thought that with Edara there, they would behave. But they didn't, so the only way is "Separate Edara, from them." He finally said, knowing the fact he will need to work hard on that and be patient about it.

"Do you think that will work?" Yagari Touga said as he sat on the murdered couch.

"You need to help me." The headmaster said with a serious look on his face."I need to separate her from them, just for a few days."

Scratching under his black blinder Yagari answered. "That's going to be hard. Kaname is always around her, and Zero too. How are you going to do that?"

"I'm going to have a talk with them."

"And?"

"I will say it's for Edara's safety. She's in danger if they continue like this. It's not the first time this happens." Kaien said resting his chin on his fist.

Taking off his hat, Yagari regarded the head master "They will just stop for a while and then start all over agai-"

"She will be emotionally hurt." He looked at the hunter. "Edara is very unstable when things come to emotions. I believe they will understand."

For some strange reason, they felt two pair of eyes on them, but continued their chat. "That's why they didn't kill each other last night." The head master said. Touga made his way to the door. "Check if Zero is ok. I will see Edara and then Kaname."

Nod.

Then Touga left, while Kaien's eyes travelled to the tree branches outside his office. 'Something is not right.'

Tsubaki

"You should have seen him, Kashmir. Zero was like "I'm crazy about you, Tsubaki" and I was like "Zero, I can't. I have a reputation to maintain" and then he said "I will wait for you" and then I run away, while he gazed me with lust". Tsubaki said painting her fingernails. Class didn't even started and Tsubaki with her friend Kashmir were in their favorite place to gossip.

The smell of the yellow nail polish was nauseating. "Kashmir, Kashmir." Tsubaki called seeing her friend looking at the night class complex.

Kashmir only wanted to complete her goals. When Tsubaki starts with that type of things, she's always spacing out. "Kashmir." Tsubaki called, starting to get impatient.

"Wha- What?" Kashmir snapped.

"Kashmir where were you?" Her friend said upset.

"Sorry, I was spacing out."

"Just go and ask him to a date." Tsubaki said blowing her fingernails.

"It's not that simple" Kashmir murmured looking at her lap.

"What?"

"Nothing."

'Humm…Looks like she needs a little help from me. Tsubaki you need to wake up and put your talent in practice.'

Night class

For some reason, something wasn't right. Ruka was leaned against Kaname's desk while he was on the door, gazing her. His wounds were deep, and Zero did a nice job.

"Kaname-sama." She called sweetly, loving the fact that she was with him.

"Ruka." He took one step forward.

Excited she took one, two, three…six steps almost getting on top of him. "Kaname-sama" She looked at his lovely brown eyes.

His hair, his eyes, his body…his being is all perfect.

She wants him.

"Kaname-sama." She placed her hand on his cheek, caressing it as he closed his eyes wishing it were Edara. 'I love you, Kaname-sama'.

With no warming Kaname pulled Ruka, shoved her against the door and pressed his lips on her neck. He was so desperate for love that he wasn't in his right state.

He was tired.

Closing her eyes, and with a beautiful blush, Ruka started to enjoy the wave of pleasure from his lips, on her smooth skin. He inhalated her scent and quickly removed his person.

She's not her. "I'm sorry, Ruka." He took a seat on the coffee table, hiding his face with shame. He was so close to take her, that if he did he wouldn't forgive himself.

"Kaname-sama." Ruka called him, barely audible, with her hand on her heart. Outside the door, Kain was seated on the ground, with his head resting against the door, swimming on his own thoughts.

Ruka knelt in front of Kaname, grabbed his hand and kissed him. His hands went automatically to her waist. She pressed her lips on his. He's so beautiful. Unsure if he should or not give in, he decided to do what he wanted.

He kissed her back.

Zero and Edara

She stopped crying.

He tried to put her on his bed, but instead of it, he fell with her on him. His wounds were starting to reopen, from the pressure she was making. The heat of her body was radiant and her smell was starting to wake his vampire instincts, and not mention he felt good. He wanted to stay like that for a while.

His left hand travelled from her head to her waist, making their lower parts connect perfectly. Her entire body matched his entirely. She noted his breathing. It was starting to increased, and she thought it was because of her, who didn't let him rest.

When she placed her hands on both sides of his arms, to get up, she felt Zero's arms squeezing her waist, bringing her down. His heart beat was errant, so she was. She sensed something hard brushing her.

Wide eyes she tried to get up, but Zero even in that state, he was strong. She squirmed and then she carved her nails on his flesh making him wince with pain. Losing his grip, she took the opportunity to get free. But instead of it, she only managed to seat on his lap.

Glowing in the dark his red eyes, were gazing her in a lazy way, with his hands gripping her hips. In a blink, he rolled her over, and faced her. Noses touching and eyes locked, his right hand was on her wrist and the other on her thigh. He travelled his hand to the rim of her underwear, he approached his face and licked her lips travelling his tongue to her neck, and then he bit her sensitive neck.

Sweet nectar.

'He's hungry.' She closed her eyes feeling her blood being sucked from her neck, preventing the scream. 'His hungriness is taking his conscience away.' Edara placed her other hand on his head, while his played with her underwear, placing more weight on his body, almost crashing her completely.

'Zero.' She bit her lower lip harder drawling blood from it. 'His vampire instincts are making him doing this.' She thought as he crashed their lips together, sucking on her bloody lip. She opened her eyes, while Zero's hair tickled her face. 'It's impossible for Zero doing this in his right state of mind-'

*Gasp*

She closed her eyes and felt her own hands unintentionally caressing his back, enticing him to go further. Zero placed his hand on her area.

He needs to stop. He should stop. Both of them knew that was wrong, but it felt so right. Taking his hand off, Zero grabbed her legs and encircled them around his waist, bucking his hips at the same time. Edara left a moan escape from her mouth to Zero's one.

He grabbed locks of her hair and pulled them, deepening the kiss. That act made her eyes start to water. He became rougher in apace. She placed her hands on his shoulders and tried to push him off, with no succeed. She whimpered and cried on his mouth. Sinking her nails on his face, he looked at her annoyed. Just her frightened expression, was enough to make him stop.

"E-Edara, I'm sorry." He jumped off her. Hiding his face as his red eyes turned to the usual shinny silver ones.

School

Lila was fuming. Class and the presentations already started. Edara and Zero weren't there. The teacher was the same and from his face, Lila could say that he was happy. After all Edara wasn't there to mess up his peaceful lesson.

But she will have to listen, Kaien's lectures, for letting them skip the first lesson.

Bah.

Right now, she just wants to pull their ears and wimp Tsubaki's smug smirk.

Headmaster

Yagari went to see Zero and Kaein was now heading to his treasure room. He remembered when Kaname appeared with Edara in his house. She was just a little cute thing. And the image of her with a pumpkin dipper, struggling to get open a bottle of honey made his cheeks turn red and his eyes transform into huge hearts. "Ahhh my baby was so cute." He squealed clapping his hands together.

With his hand on door handle, he opened the door.

"Edara." He called.

"Edara?" The headmaster entered the room and observed the girls room. Her bed was all messy and he could tell that she had a nightmare. When her pillow is on the nightstand and the bedspread is upside down, it only means she had a nightmare.

"Where is she?" He looked under the bed, closet and bathroom. "Is Lila in class too?" He left the room, closing the door behind him. "Ah. Maybe she's on the cafeteria." He headed to Edara's second favorite place. This time he would not lecture her for nothing, not even Zero and Lila.

Edara and Zero

"Forgive me." Zero whispered to Edara's ears. Funny. First, it was her who was asking for his forgiveness and now it's him.

"Zero and Edara." Yagari called them, crossing his arms over his chest, observing them.

She was now caressing his cheek. Zero held his eyes closed, ashamed for what he had done. He didn't dare to talk, not because of Yagari but if, he opened his mouth to talk about that unforgivable act, he would feel more ashamed than ever.

They were raised like brother and sister. 'She probably thought that I was going to kill her. 'He placed his cold hand on top of her's. She smiled, he felt that gentle smile that matched her. He didn't retrieve her simple and kind touch.

"AHHH." Everyone was expecting that. "My babies" The headmaster, hugged them both. Yagari sweat dropped and the other two didn't budge. Normally Zero would freak out from hearing Kaien call him his baby, but he just wanted to rest.

Little did Edara know that Zero's actions were all in his right mental state.

Kaname and Ruka

Sure, the kiss turned out to be more a make-out session, but who could blame them? Ruka is in love with Kaname since a child and Kaname is seeking for Edara's love. Making him look for comfort desperaly.

The pureblood licked her collarbone while Ruka massaged his shoulders. He didn't have shirt, and his pants were losing up. She was in bra and skirt. Lying on the couch Ruka, gasped feeling Kaname's hand travelling under her skirt.

Everything was a pure bless. "I love you, Kaname-sama." Ruka's innocent and truly confession was enough to stop her beloved vampire.

He observed her face and took a seat. "I can't' pretend you're Edara, Ruka." He said gripping his knees. "It's wrong." His calm voice denouncing sadness and shame.

"I don't mind it, Kaname-sama." She said clapping her hands together.

"But I do." He said getting up. Her hands fell to her lap along with two tears. "It's against my morality." He passed her shirt. She took it gratefully.

They dressed and Ruka headed to the door. She stopped with her hand on the door handle when Kaname spoke. "You should take a better look at your surroundings." Kaname continued to look at her, seeing the great effort Ruka was putting to not crash in front of him. "I'm sorry, Ruka." He said gazing her with his usual vampire red eyes.

"Your wounds, Kaname-sama." She said turning around ignoring his advice.

"I will treat them. Go to sleep." He already feels ashamed for what he had done. One for going as far as using someone to seek comfort and two for almost betraying Edara.

"But-" Looking to the ground, Ruka hesitated for a while. Then she respectfully bowed and left. As expected Kain was outside waiting for her. Ruka as usual ignored him and closed the door behind her.

Kain felt and obviously heard what they were doing. His heart could bear anything and sure was prepared to support this. But he's not made of iron. So Kain went to his room, Ruka wants to stay alone.

Kaname on the other side, was watching the day complex path before going to bed. He was treating his wounds while he did it. Shame and shame. That was what he felt beyond his sorrow heart. "Forgive me, Edara because, I committed sin…again"

Bandaging the last wound he closed the curtains and went o bed."I hope your love can heal me." He confessed, the dark room engulfing him completely.
