Chapter 2

Persephone wakes up

/Percy POV/

All I remember is waking up in a white room, on a blue bed and seeing a sign that read infirmary. I didn't know what was going on. I remember fighting the Chimera and seeing this kid come and defeat it for me. I hate feeling helpless. He turned to me with this smug look on his face he probably expected me to say thank you and have lots of gratitude. This got me angry. Of course I yelled at him for helping me. I really thought I could do it by myself. Then I blacked out after that, now I am just sitting here waiting to see what will happen.

The next thing I knew was the same kid who saved me popped his head into my room. As soon as I laid my eyes on him I gave him a glare that could freeze water in its place.

A glint of fear shone across his eyes, but quickly receded as if it wasn't even there. He gave me a stare that I had no idea how to respond to. So all I did was I asked him "What am I doing here and where am I?" He sighed and just looked at me and asked "What's your name and do you know that you are a demigoddess?" I replied with a "touché and answer my question first." "You are at camp half blood. A camp for half-bloods or demigods/demigoddesses. It is where no monsters can get to you and you can train, and go on quests if you are lucky enough. As for why you are here, you were hurt and this is my home and these people would know how to help you unlike a normal hospital. By the way eat this." He handed me a square of something that looked like a light chocolate brownie. Once I took a bite of it my cut and scratches started to heal instantly. I noticed that it tasted like my favorite blue cookies that my mom makes. I jumped out of my thoughts when he said "That is ambrosia, it can heal you along with nectar. Don't drink too much of it or you will explode. Now answer my questions." "Fine, my name is Persephone Jackson but most people call me Percy, and I am 13 years old and yes I know I am a demigoddess because I have been getting attacked by monsters ever since I was 6" I replied

He just stared at me with this dumbstruck look and just said "Wow you have been getting attacked by monsters since you were 6 and you haven't died yet."

I rolled my eyes and gave him an amused smirk as I said "No I haven't died, was I supposed to?"

Leo just stared at me and I stifled a chuckle.

"Ok" I said "Are you going to show around this place? And also what is your name?"

Leo's eyes lit up as he replied "Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus at your service. And of course I am going to show you around camp!"

My lips turned up in a smile as he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a big cabin that he said was the Hephaestus cabin. The entrance was like a big vault door, circular and made of thick metal. Leo dragged me inside. When the door opened I heard gears turning and smoke hissing. Inside the cabin it was very unclean and messy. It had a #9 on the door. Leo asked me "Do you like it? This is my home."

I said I liked it and we moved on.

The Zeus cabin had big marble columns and I could hear thunder rumbling from the inside of it.

Next he saw Hera's cabin. It was a marble building with slim columns and had pomegranate and flowers around it. The walls on the outside looked like they had peacocks on them.

The Poseidon cabin was a long low building that faced the ocean. The cabin itself was made of sea stone, pieces of coral, and seashell embedded in the outside walls. It has a big bronze #3 in the door as well as a trident. It always smelled like the beach and sea salt.

The Demeter cabin was covered in flowers and tomato plants. Flowers grew on the walls and floor and there were pots of roses on a front porch. It had a growing grass roof and it was tinted brown. It had a #4 on the front of the door.

The Ares cabin was painted red and had a boar's head over the door. It had barbed wire on the roof and had land mines inside. You could hear the rock blaring from it. It had a #5 sign on the door.

The Athena cabin was a gray building with white curtains and an owl on the door. If you peeked inside there were books, maps, and any other knowledgeable things littered on the floor. There was also a #6 sign on the door.

The Apollo cabin was made of solid gold and glowed during the daytime. The gold reflected off the light so it shone brightly. There were a few instruments and there was a #7 on the door.

The Artemis cabin was a silver building with silver curtains and it glows silver at night looking like the moon. There was a #8 sign on the door.

Aphrodite's cabin was a wooden cabin with a painted blue roof, pillars and a checkerboard deck and it has gray walls. And the windows were framed with different colored lace. It had a #10 on the door.

The Hermes cabin has peeling brown paint and a caduceus over the door. It has a #11 on the door.

The Dionysus cabin had walls and the roof lined with grape vines. It had a #12 on the front door.

There were only 8 more cabins left.

The Hades cabin was a windowless cabin made with solid obsidian. It had heavy columns and had a skull and the #13 on the door.

The Iris cabin had a rainbow roof and a #14 on the door.

The Hypnos cabin was like an old fashioned prairie house with red poppies growing on the roof. You could hear the sound of soft violin music playing and it had a #15 on the door.

Nemesis's cabin had a broken wheel over the front door and a #16 on the door.

Nike's cabin had laurel leaves framing the front door and images of victories flashing across the walls. It had a #17 on the door.

Hebe's cabin had a wishing fountain in the middle of the room and pictures of young children playing on the walls. It had a# 18 on the door.

Tyche's cabin had a #19 on the door and the roof was surrounded by 4 leaf clovers and the door was framed by horseshoes.

Finally Hecate's cabin had walls made of stone that has inscriptions on them. It had a #20 on the door.

Leo showed me the pavilion, sword fighting arena, obstacle course, and the Big House. Leo told me I would be staying in the Hermes cabin till I was claimed and handed me some toiletries and a sleeping bag. Just then the conch horn blew. Leo gave me a peck on the cheek and ran off blushing. I just stood there shocked.
