Juvia stared at Lucy from across the lobby. The blonde was chattering with Gray-sama, gesturing and waving her hands wildly. Gray burst into laughter at something Lucy said. Lucy grinned at him in return, nudging him with her shoulder. Juvia tightened her grip on the arm rest of the lobby chair, glaring at the blonde who dare make contact with Juvia's Gray-sama. Juvia had only moved into her new apartment two days ago, and she was already encountering many love-rivals!
There was Erza Scarlet from one floor up, and Mirajane the receptionist. Juvia was certain that Lisanna Strauss, Mirajane's little sister and veterinarian in training, was attracted to Gray too. Cana Alberona was another love-rival.
But out of all of them, every single one, Lucy was the biggest threat. Her and that stupid constant pretty smile.
Gray gave one last laugh, reaching up and scratching the back of his head and grinning broadly, flashing his beautiful smile at Lucy. He said something to her and then walked away, crossing the room to stand at the desk. He rung the bell for Mirajane, and she popped out from under the counter, making Gray jump in surprise. Lucy giggled. Mirajane looked over Gray's shoulder and noticed Lucy. The white haired woman waved and the blonde waved back, before she turned around and headed for the stairs.
Lucy noticed Juvia as she was turning around and flashed the quiet, blue-haired woman another one of those smiles, coupled with a cheerful wave, "Hello Juvia! I didn't notice you there."
Juvia tentatively smiled back, a little bit overwhelmed by the warmth held in Lucy's smile. Warmth, just for Juvia.
