Chapter 2: Life at School Years 1-4

Sonic's life at school was a turbulent affair. This is the story of his/her/its first 4 years.

When Sonic went to Hedgeworth's academy, he was a 4 year old hedgehog. His teacher was called Mrs Springington and she was a strange, dishevelled failure of a hedgehog with spiky grey hair all over her body. She wore a green dress with the bodies of dead fleas all dotted around on it. She tried to teach Sonic how to read, but that was not very successful, as Sonic was mentally retarded and tried to devour everything in the room, including the book. This phase stopped, but he still couldn't get his head round all those confusing letters, and full stops and question marks and exclamation marks and capital letters. 'You have to try,' his teacher told him. However these remarks were too difficult for his puny mind so he fainted. This was the theme of most of his lessons in years 1 and 2.

When it came to his third year, the teachers decided to abandon trying to teach him any academic skills, so they just focused on his talent in running, which admittedly he was very good at. Life was going well for Sonic, and it looked like he might not be such a fail after all.

But then everything changed. At eight years old, Sonic's true nature was revealed. Everyone rejected him because he was a stupid weirdo that couldn't read, and despite not wanting to eat everything anymore was still mentally retarded. He had no friends nobody thought he was anything but a stupid retard that had no chance in life. They were very, very right.
