I pull open the front door and walk inside. Something smells burnt. "The food!" Mom runs into the kitchen. I follow in after her. She opens the oven, and a ton of smoke comes out of the oven quickly. I cough, my lungs filling with smoke. I couldn't see anything, the smoke was so thick. I hear the noise of running water, and the smoke clears away. Mom holds a burnt chicken in her hands.

"Looks like this is dinner tonight." She sighs. I laugh.

"It's perfect!" I joke. Mom smiles, and we sit down to eat. I grab a piece of black, burnt chicken and put it on my plate. "So, was Freddy nice?" I ask Mom.

"Yeah, super! He seemed like a real gentleman." Mom giggled.

"Yeah. The kids were nice, too." I say. "Well, I guess I really can't call them kids considering they're either the same age or older than me." I realize.

"Oh, that's interesting. So they're gonna go to the same school as you?" Mom asks. I nod. "Awesome!" She says. The burnt chicken wasn't tasting right, so I get up to clean my dishes. I put the plate under running water and put it in the dishwasher. I close the dishwasher and walk upstairs to my bedroom. I turn on the light and shut the door, pulling open the blinds on the window. I look out towards the neighbors house. My thoughts drift back to Foxy and Bonnie.

They're both really cute...and nice, too, though Bonnie seemed a little shy. I think to myself. I hope they don't think I'm weird...what am I saying? They just met me, and we barely talked. In no way could they have thought I was weird with the small conversation we had. I close my blinds pull out my phone. My friend Ashley had sent me a text.

Weekend coming soon! Get ready to PARTY! :D

I laugh as I read the text. I respond back. Trust me. Party all night long! I send the text and put my phone down. I look over at the alarm clock on my nightstand. 8 o'clock. "Might as well get to sleep." I mutter as I crawl into bed. My thoughts divert back to both Foxy and Bonnie. I smile to myself and drift off to sleep.

I'm sitting at my desk in class, chatting with Ashley. The bell rings suddenly, and we end our conversation. That's when I see Foxy walk in. "Class," The teacher says. "Today we have a new student. Why don't you tell them your name?"

"Foxy," Foxy says. He scans the classroom and stops on me, staring at me. He smiles and finds a seat right next to me. I wave to him and turn back to the front of the class. Oh god...I thought. He's right there...

The teacher goes on and on about geometric equations, but I tune it out. I'm too worried that I'm gonna screw it up with Foxy. Just don't look at him. If you don't, he won't think you have a crush on him. Simple. I keep my eyes focused on the board, though I have no idea what it reads.

The bell rings to end class. I quickly pack up my stuff and head for the door, when suddenly Foxy stops me. "Looks like we got put in the same class, huh?" He says. I smile.

"Yep! Pretty lucky, wasn't it?" He nods.

"So hey, uh, where is this room, exactly?" He pulls out his schedule. I notice that he's in a lot of advanced classes, mostly ahead in history. He points to a room that's listed there. 22B.

"Oh, that room? Just keep going down the hall and turn right, four doors down." I tell him. He smiles.

"Thanks." He says. His face turns slightly nervous. "So, uh, what're you up to this weekend?" He asks me. It looks like he's sweating in nervousness, but I can't tell. I pretend not to notice.

"Oh, nothing." I say. "Actually, I'm going to a party with some friends." This was my perfect chance. "Wanna come along with me?" I ask him. He looks almost relieved.

"Sure! What time?" He asks. I tell him the time. "Perfect! We can meet up and go together then, right?" He asks. I nod in confirmation. "Great! See you then!" He says and walks down the hall. When he's gone, I practically jump into the air.

Yes! I think to myself. Oh my god, this couldn't go any better! I look at the time. 1 minute to get to class. I sprint down the hall and head to class, when I notice Bonnie talking to some people. I can't make out anything, though. At the end, I see Bonnie wave goodbye to the people and head off to class. I ignore it and run to my class, practically jumping into my seat.

That night at dinner, I tell mom all about my day at school. "So, Foxy said he wanted to go with me!" I exclaim. She high-fives me with empathy.

"That's great, hon! Looks like you two are gonna be great friends!" She says. I grin widely. After I finish dinner, I run upstairs and grab my phone. I start texting Ashley all about this. Omg, Ash, I got a date to the party! I say.

Woah, seriously? She replies.

Yep! His name is Foxy. He's pretty cute. I blush as I send the message. Ashley doesn't respond, so I put the phone down and go to sleep, thinking about what the party tomorrow will be like.
