Time traveling, of course, why not? He had been through everything else why not add time traveling to the list? But of course not only was he time traveling...no that would be to easy. He would be traveling to the year 1977, the year his parents were in their seventh year of Hogwarts. Why did everything always happen to him? Was he such a bad person in a past life that he had to be punished so severely in this one, or did fate just loathe him so much that it had given him the worst luck ever? Either way this was not going to be pleasant.
15 minutes, that was all the time given to him to pack his things, say goodbye to his friends and meet back down stairs with everyone. "Are you ready Harry," Remus Lupin asked while putting a hand on the young boy's shoulder. "As ready as I'll ever be." In other words, no. No, Harry Potter was not ready to time travel and be left alone in 1977 with his parents and no one there to guide or help him. He didn't even know what he was supposed to do! Everyone in the house thought that he knew the plan and had discussed it with Dumbledore. But no, like always, Dumbledore did not speak a word of what was going on. Harry would just have to wing it, like usual, and hope he didn't get killed, like usual.
"It's time to go Harry," Kingsley said gently, "Here," holding out a small, sealed, envelope, "this is for you. It was on Dumbledore's desk. We thought you might need it for your journey. And don't worry Dumbledore left us the instructions for what to do while you are working on the past." Oh, goody, not only did Harry have no idea what he was going to do in the past, Dumbledore gave everyone else instructions and told them all that he, Harry James Potter, was going to fix it all. If he had time to give everyone else instructions on how to send him to the past and what to do afterwards, why couldn't he have taken five minutes to explain to The Boy Who Lived what was going on?
And with that thought still in his mind he gripped his trunk tight as everyone else in the house raised their wands and began the spell.
