Black Goes With Blue
Blue. A color of happiness; a color of your own. But my life... was never happy... never my own...
The boy spied on the interior of the restaurant from behind an old building. He carefully judged it, observing the security. Getting through it would be tough, he had to admit that, but he must give it a try. After all, in doing so, his uncle might appreciate him a bit, and the boy always craved for love and affection, no matter from whom it came. His eyes drifted from one area to another as he started to plan a way.

"Why the Viscount?"
The ever so young and beautiful Lucy Heartfilia sat in her luxurious carriage, fanning herself in a hand held fan decorated with rubies and feathers. It was the color cream, which went well with the gorgeous white chiffon gown of her deceased mother. She took in her father's suggestion to wear black colored footwear, along with a hat that had black feathers attached, as her hair was in a neat bun.
"I apologize, My Lady?" her chauffeur – Edwind – asked from the front, as he couldn't exactly catch her words.
"Why the Viscount?" she repeated herself, maintaining the same firm and proper tone. "He is not much of use, I've heard. And Veronica is too small a country anyway."
"They do, however, have the ticket to the Pergrande Kingdom," the man up front explained. "Veronica is in good contact with it, and the Duke wants to be connected as well."
"It still does not answer my question," she huffed. "Father could have just arranged for the Count or such. The Viscount is a low rank."
"The Count is ill, My Lady. Soon the Viscount will have that position and he will go above it as well. He is weak, which is why His Royal Highness wants you to handle his affairs. Please trust him, My Lady. It is all for the best," he stated, and Lucy spoke no more.

"Can I help you with that?" the raven haired boy leaned down to the old man who dropped huge closed boxes, helping him up all the while flashing a genuine smile.
"Oh, thank you, thank you son!" the old man spoke, relieved, and Gray almost felt guilty for doing this.
"Where are you taking these?" he picked up a box and asked, although he knew the answer.
"There, that building," the man pointed to the Earl, a cafe for the royals, which was Gray's destination. He smiled and carried them along the path, hiding a smirk behind.

"We are arriving soon," Edwind announced, and Lucy felt her breath hitch up her throat.
No, she thought to herself, too early. I must do something, I'm not ready yet. Oh, heavens! What should I possibly do?
"Stop the carriage," she ordered.
"B-but, why, My Lady?"
"Stop it!" her voice was raised, and her words came out rough. "It's an order."
The carriage immediately slowed down, eventually coming to a stop. Lucy sighed, bringing her palm to her forehead. No, she could not do this. It was absurd. But, at the same time, she had no other choice. However, she would look for a way out. Somehow... somehow...
"My Lady, are you alright?" her chauffeur asked, concerned.
"I am fine," she brushed him off. "I just need some time to recollect myself."
"If you... do not mind, My Lady, then could I have the permission to wash my hands from nearby? The carriage is placed at the back of the building, so I will not be long."
"Yes, go ahead," Lucy told him, not paying much attention. He got off his seat, and all the while she kept planning for something; anything.

After giving his identity with the help of the man who was delivering coffee beans for the cafe, Gray Fullbuster was permitted to enter from the back. On his way, a smirk once again appeared. However, he stopped midway, spotting a carriage. The curtains inside the car were closed, and the horses were still attached. Yet there was nobody on the seat up front.
Looks royal, he thought, and then his eyes widened. Could it... no, it couldn't possibly be... the Viscount's carriage?
Gray stopped for a while, thinking things through. No, it would be better to kidnap the Viscount than take his carriage. With that thought in mind, Gray was about to leave the area until he saw the shadow of a female figure inside the car.
Heavens! Is that... a royal? This... this is too good of an opportunity to pass down. Making up his mind at last, Gray put down the box, lowered his commoner's cap, and climbed to sit in the carriage. And then, ever so slowly, he started taking it to the assigned destination.
Lucy was, however, a bit startled as the carriage moved all of a sudden. "Edwind? Is that you?"
"Uh," Gray tried to disguise his voice as to more deep, "yes... it is I... Edwill..."
"Edwind? What happened to your voice?" Lucy was still unsure. "And where are we going?"
He did not answer her anymore.

The blue sky, spreading peace and light. Yet an act as dark as black taking place under it. The mixture was not expected, but it would be fine. After all, black goes with blue.
