There was a loud bang and a scream because holy crap, Lady Paprika's already really annoying, and let's be honest, we needed that loud bang to get her to stop quoting a certain TV show that she's obsessed with.
"That character she quoted doesn't even go here!" somebody that looked suspiciously like... uh, Yoshi yelled for the sake of this announcement not getting deleted due to irrelevancy in the SSB section.
...Yeah, tell me about it. Wait, was that another quote from a movie? Gah! Whatever! Stupid jerks. Anyway, Lady Paprika's moving the deadline up to three weeks from now. So today's the fifth right? Let's extend the contest deadline to, say, July 26th? For those of you that have already completed your fics and are groaning in despair, please take heart that you still have time to expand on what you currently have and/or go over your submissions!
Lady Paprika grumbled, "Yeah, besides all of them sucked so you guys need to go over them anyway."
Wait... but you didn't even read them, did you?
There was a silence as Lady Paprika tried to grapple with the rhetorically based question (Because she hadn't checked the entries yet due to regulation rules) before there was a sudden shift in the mood. This was because the narrator became satisfied that he or she had finally shut Paprika up, at least temporarily. Bazinga! (That probably wasn't used correctly, oh well.)
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that y'all got extra time and power to edit and submit.
"Right! With great power comes great responsibility, after all."
Oh my God, Paprika, you can't just quote Uncle Ben for a dumb contest.
"This isn't a dumb contest! I worked hard on this! ...Sort of!"
Yeah, okay. Anyway, like we said earlier, take advantage of this if you can! And if you can't, YOLO or something... I don't know. This is the laziest writing ever so I'm just going to end this here and wish you the best of luck!
"Yes! That's definitely something we can agree on," Lady Paprika joined in. She suddenly smiled, "Narrator, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
Lady Paprika...! Tell me you just didn't do that! I am so out of here!
"Saying so, the narrator left, leaving me to say the rest of the story. I looked after him sadly before declaring, "I'll go home and I'll think of some way to get him back. After all, tomorrow is another day!""
"And since the narrator couldn't narrate it, everybody groaned at that," Yoshi stated, as he had taken over the rest of the narration.
This is getting really confusing, so I'm just going to stop this here and let you guys go.

So yeah, basically the gist of this is, I'm extending the deadline to July 26th. There were various reasons for this... I'm going to be out of country in two weeks and probably won't have the results in by then anyway, and also I wanted others to have the opportunity to submit should they choose to do so (DESPERATE FOR MORE ENTRIES OK). Anyway, how many TV/movie quotes can you spot here? I've given some away, but I've also hidden some in...
