Walking around Diagon Alley Draco and Castor spilt up to go and get their supplies after Draco tells him where everything is and where to get everything. Draco had to go and get some new robes so he said that he would meet up with him by Quality Quidditch Supplies so that the two could go in together as they each played Quidditch and Castor was going to try out for House team once he was placed.
Walking into Flourish and Blotts Bookseller shop Castor bumps into a girl rapidly moving her hands in an odd way to an older gentleman with her who he assumes is her father does the same back to her.
She quickly turns and sees him.
"Oh, sorry Draco," she said.
He was about to say that he wasn't Draco but he was going to have some fun with it.
"It's alright, I'm actually at fault I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and didn't see you there," he tells her.
"Umm okay and what's with the blue streaks in your hair and is that a tattoo!"
"Yea and I thought a change would be nice," he smirks.
He was having fun with this.
"Oh, wow. I never thought your Father would be so…accepting of it," she says as her father taps her should and does the hand movements again.
She nods and does the same back.
He nods and walks out.
"What was that?" he asks.
"American Sign Language. My dad is deaf."
"Wow, so that's how you communicate?"
"Exactly, look it was nice having a civil conversation with you but I really have to go. We promised my grandma we'd be quick today," she says.
"Okay, I'll see you on the train?"
"Yea," she says smiling.
He grasps her hand gently and brings it up to his lips and kisses the back of her hand making her go bright red in the face she walks out.
Meeting up with her father he signs her asking what's with the giant smile and she just tells him it was nothing earning her one of his 'it's a boy isn't it?' smirks.
She just laughs and makes a fist and moves it in a nodding way which is the sign for 'yes'.
He smirks and signs that if she got close to the boy he wants a word with him.
She laughs and nods smiling.
₤Hogwarts Express₤
Heading through the compartment for the bathroom Castor passes the compartment where the girl he bumped into in the book store was sitting there alone with her nose in a book with her back against the window and her legs stretched out across the seat. He smiles and heads to the bathroom quickly then he heads back and looks and sees her still sitting there.
He knocks on the compartment door and she looks up and smiles.
"Hey Draco, how are you?"
"Good, mind if I sit down?"
"Not all, go ahead," she said.
He goes and sits where her legs were stretched out.
"So what are you reading?" he asks.
"Ann Rice. Highly intriguing actually," she tells him.
"Lovely, you have the most intriguing eyes I've seen. You're eyes were hazel the day we met now they're almost a sea foam green."
She blushes and says, "They tend to change color."
"Interesting," he said leaning forward and cupping the side of her face in his hand.
Her breathing hitches in her throat when he does that.
"Can I kiss you?" he asks softly.
She closes her eyes and closes her book tossing it to the floor.
"Yes," she whispers.
He gives that signature Malfoy smirk and kisses her softly as he slips his hand on the side of her to behind her neck.
She moves so that he's not completely leaning over her and she slips a hand into his hair and knots her fingers in it.
He gently grasps her lower lip nibbles on it causing her to gasp slightly and he takes the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth and massages her tongue with his. When she feels his tongue piercing she starts playing with it a bit.
Pulling back to catch their breath both are panting to catch their breath.
"Wow," she breaths.
"Yea," he says smirking.
They sit there and talk for a while until the trolley witch comes through.
"Anything from the trolley dear's?" she asks.
"No thank you, I'm good," Christi said supplying a roast beef sandwich and a snack bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and a can of soda.
"I'm good thanks," Castor said.
She nods and keeps going.
"You came prepared."
"My dad insists on it," she says.
"What about your mom?" he asks.
She got quiet and looked down at the sandwich in her lap.
"I'm sorry if I..." he starts but gets cut off.
"No! It's fine. It's good for me to talk about. She died when I was young. Four maybe five. Both she and my dad we in a horrid car accident and it killed my mom. My dad survived with some serious injuries one of which was his losing his hearing and some other injuries," she tells him.
"I'm sorry," he says sincerely.
"Thanks, she was a good witch,"
"I bet she was. I should head back to the Slytherin compartment before we get there and change into my robes," he says rising.
"Okay, I'll see you at the feast."
He nods and smiles at her as he leaves.
§Hogwarts§
Walking into the Great Hall Christi goes over to Harry, Ron and Hermione.
"Hey it's good to see you Harry! I was worried when I heard the news. I'm sorry I didn't write this summer. I was busy with my dad and grandma. She's been in and out of the hospital all summer," she says sitting down.
"It's okay and it's good to see you too." Harry says as they engage in a conversation of what happened over the summer and everything and Christi tells them of what happened on the train.
"No bloody way!" Ron says.
"Yea, I seriously think someone put a personality charm or something on him but I like this new Draco." She tells them smiling.
After everyone is seated Professor McGonagall comes up and looks at everyone.
"Well be starting our Sorting ceremony now. Traditionally we normally only sort First years. Well we have an incoming transfer student from the America's who needs to be sorted so we'll be starting with him," McGonagall says.
"Castor Malfoy." She says.
Everyone's heads snap to the front and Christi sees who she thought was Draco walk up to the front and sit.
"I gotta go. All of the sudden I'm feeling horribly ill." She says leaping up from her seat and nearly running out fighting tears causing everyone to look at her and Draco burst out laughing.
Dumbledore gets everyone quiet and nods over to Hermione to follow Christi. She nods and gets up quickly and follows her out.
Once everyone was silent and seated again McGonagall puts the Sorting Hat on Castor's head and they wait.
"Ahh! Another Malfoy. Nothing like you brother. Has the makings of a Gryffindor. You my friend are difficult." The hat whispers in his ear.
"But where to put you. Gryffindor or Slytherin. Very difficult." It said.
After a moment the hat yells out, "Gryffindor!"
Draco's mouth dropped open and watched as his twin strides over to the Gryffindor table smiling.
He finds an empty seat next to Harry.
"Hey," he says.
"Hi, so you and Ma…Draco must be twins?" Harry asks in over-protective brother mode.
He and Christi were like brother and sister and he protected her.
"Yea separated at birth for our own protection. Draco stayed here with our parents; I went to our aunt and uncle in the United States, California mainly. Is your friend okay? She ran outta here kinda fast," Castor asks.
"Yea, well she thought you were your brother who she's had a serious thing for ever since first year. So when she found out you weren't him it really upset her to point where she felt sick and had to get out of here," Harry growls slightly.
Castor just sits there silently feeling guilty as he looks at where she just ran from.
"Her name is Christina DeLuca, but she prefers Christi," Dean Thomas says who was sitting next to Ron.
§Gryffindor Girls Dorm§
"God Hermione how could I have been so blind thinking that, Castor was Draco. I should have known that Draco would never change. I should have known," she cries into her pillow.
"Just ignore him and forget him sweetie. He's a Malfoy. They probably planned this. Besides guys are jerks," Hermione says. She was the "mother bear" of the group.
"I know. But I like them both now. Castor is so sweet, nice, kind, polite, a gentleman and an amazing kisser but Draco has the bad boy thing going on. I wish I could just combine the two of them together and make the perfect boyfriend," she says turning her face to look at Hermione.
"You and I both," she says.
Christi smiles a bit and they head back down to the Great Hall and they see Castor sitting at the Gryffindor table.
"Oh great he got sorted into our House," Christi mutters.
"Ignore him. If he really does truly like you he'll start groveling the moment we sit down and will keep groveling until you forgive him and give him a chance if you see fit," Hermione said.
She nods and they go and sit down.
"Hey, Christi, can we talk? Please?" Castro asks.
"What?" she asks.
"Look I am really sorry. I really am. I had no idea. But I really do like you, what happened on the train is because I really do like you. Ever since that day in Diagon Alley I've liked you. You're smile, eyes, laughter, the way you go bright red when I complement you, your personality, the way you care for your family everything. Please accept my apology," Castor said.
"Holy shit! Are you sure you're a Malfoy!" Harry asks laughing.
"Yes, I'm sure I'm a Malfoy. I just wasn't raised with my parents so I have more respect for people and their feelings. I don't care for blood status either. Pure, half or even muggle born I don't care, it's the person that matters," he says.
"I can forgive you but right now I am really confused and hurt," she said.
He nods and smiles.
After the feast was over they all head back to their Houses and Castor and Christi sit in the common room talking.
"So why did your parents send you to live with your aunt and uncle?" she asks as he takes her hand in his and he plays with her fingers.
"To protect Draco and I. The Dark Lord didn't know that our mom was pregnant with us. They kept it a secret to protect us. They were on his bad side at the time and he wanted to hurt our dad's family. So they separated us. I went to the states and Draco stayed here."
She nods. They had decided they would hang out and talk and get to know each other.
"Be truthful. What is Draco like here?" he asks.
"He's an arrogant bastard and he's vicious toward Harry, Ron, and Hermione and me. I mean he's not like that to me all the time but most of the time he is. He's really vicious during Quidditch. He's always trying to knock Harry off his broom. They're both seekers. I'm Harry's alternate. I've had to play for him a few times no thanks Draco."
"What makes you like him if he's like that?"
She goes pink in the cheeks.
"The whole bad boy thing but I'm getting over it now because I've found someone better though he may be in the dog house for right now," she says smirking.
"Oh really and who is he?"
"Well he's six foot three, blonde hair that has navy blue colored streaks in his hair, a tongue piercing and a tattoo and these incredible stormy grey eyes. He's also an amazing kisser," she says teasing him giggling.
"Oh really? What's this guy's name?" he asks leaning in to kiss her.
"Castor Malfoy," she whispers smiling.
He smiles and he leans in and kisses her softly as he slips a hand around her waist and he slips an arm around her waist and pulls her closer to him and he slips his other hand into her hair.
She tangles her hands in his hair and kisses him back. She smiles into the kiss as he slips his tongue into her mouth and she plays with his tongue piercing.
"Ahem," they hear behind them.
They pull back and look over and see Professor McGonagall standing there with her arms folded across her chest staring at them.
"Get to bed you two and don't let me catch you two out of bed after hours again. If I do I will deduct points. You Miss. DeLuca should know better," McGonagall said.
They nod and head off to bed.
§Next Morning§
Christi heads down into the common room tying her hair up into a high ponytail. It was Saturday morning and she and Harry always went running together to get into shape for Quidditch. She looks up and sees a half asleep Castor coming down with Harry right behind him.
"Morning!" Castor yawns.
"Good morning. You're up early."
"Yea, so are you."
"Harry and I are going running around the grounds every morning. We always do this before, during and after Quidditch," She says.
"Cool. Can I come with tomorrow?" he asks.
"Can it wait a week? Christi and I haven't spoken all summer and it will give us time to catch up," Harry requests.
"Sure, I'll catch up with you guys later," he said.
They nod and head out and they go and start running together talking.
"So what's going on with you?" Harry asks.
"This summer sucked. My dad is really sick and so is my grandma. So things are tough on me right now. I didn't want to come back this year but my dad talked me into coming back. I just feel so guilty in coming back when he's so sick along with my grandma," she says stopping and crying wrapping her arms around her waist in tears.
Harry goes over and hugs her and rubs her back as she cries into his chest.
"Shhh, it's gonna be okay. You're going to be able to see them soon. If you keep busy enough and in contact enough the holidays will come faster than you know it and you'll be home with them soon. I promise," Harry told her.
She smiles slightly into his chest and hugs him.
"Thank you. I needed that. You're like an older brother to me that I always wanted," she says.
He smiles and hugs her.
"No problem and you're like a little sister to me," he tells her hugging her.
After a few minutes they start running again.
₤Fifth year boy's bathroom₤
"Hey bro, yesterday was pretty funny huh when DeLuca ran out of the Great Hall in tears like a cry baby huh?" Draco asks smirking.
Castor snorts and hits Draco in jaw.
"Don't talk about her like that. You have no idea on what she's gone through her entire life and what she's going through right now," he growls he was already protective of Christi after what he learned about her yesterday on the train and last night.
"You don't even know her!" Draco growls rubbing his jaw.
"I know enough about her. Just leave her alone. She's done nothing to you to deserve you being a total prick to her," Castor said rubbing his hand and going to take a shower.
"Mother and Father will hear about this," Draco hisses.
"Fine with me," comes Castor's reply not really caring.
Draco finishes up what he needed to do then he headed back down to the dungeons.
Castor finishes his shower then he heads back to Gryffindor tower.
He heads up to his room that he shared with Harry, Ron, Dean and Neville. Harry walks in just as he's pulling a t-shirt over his head.
"Wicked cool tattoo," Harry says startling the newest Gryffindor.
"Shit Harry you scared me!" he says laughing.
"Sorry, didn't mean too."
"It's fine and thanks. The thing took three weeks to complete. Bloody painful but worth it," Castor said.
"What gave you the idea for a dragon?"
"For my grandfather. He always liked dragons and he was a dragon trainer so when he died I got it for him all the pain of sitting still for hours at a time was worth it," he explains.
"Wow, that's cool," Harry said.
"Thanks, where's Christi?"
"Her room. She's not in the mood to be social today. She's having a lot of personal problems going on and she just needs some alone time. She might hang with Hermione and Ginny today and that's it," Harry explains.
He nods and grabs a book from his trunk then heads down to the common room.
When he gets there he gets comfortable on the couch and opens it to the page where he left off.
He was about half way through his book when Christi walks in and she looks miserable.
"Hey come here," Castor requested gently.
She goes right over and curls into his side crying. He holds her close and rubs her back soothingly much like how his aunt would do to him when he had gotten hurt or was upset when he was little.
"What's the matter?" he asks her softly.
She shakes her head.
"Please tell me so I can make you feel better," he tells her gently.
Hermione comes down and sees and hands him the letter she had just gotten from her dad.
He scans it and sees that her grandmother passed in her sleep the night before.
"I'm so sorry. I really am. Do you want Hermione to go and get Harry?" he asks.
She nods vigorously.
Hermione sees and runs up to the boys dorm to get Harry.
Moments later Harry came running right over to them.
He sits next to them as by now Castor has pulled Christi into his lap and is gently rocking her and rubbing her back.
"Hey Christi, it's going to be okay," Harry said rubbing her back.
She nods weakly.
Christi eventually stops crying and slumps weakly against Castor.
"Thank you both," she says softly.
"That's what we're here for. The surrogate brother and…"
"The boyfriend," Castor concluded.
She smiles and kisses his cheek.
"Thank you," she says.
"You're welcome," Harry said.
"Come on how about the four of us go and get some lunch?" Hermione says.
"Sounds good," Harry said.
The four teens head down to the Great Hall and run into McGonagall and Draco who looks like he was beaten to hell and back.
"Mr. Malfoy your brother tells me you did this to him this morning," Minerva says.
"No! I just hit him in that jaw! He was talking very rudely about Christi. I was merely defending her honor, much like what is expected from the Malfoy name," Castor said smirking at his brother.
He had picked up quickly of how he should act and portray himself. He learned that he should always defend the most important woman in his life, his mother, first then any other important woman in his life which was Christi.
"It's true Professor. I was just finishing up in the shower this morning when I heard them coming in. Draco was talking harshly about Christi. I looked out to see what was going on and I saw Castor just punch him once in the jaw. They did the whole big tough alpha male thing and Draco left knowing he'd lost," Ron said from behind McGonagall and Draco.
"Three day's detention Mister Malfoy for violence," she informs Castor.
He nods as Minerva lets them go. The group goes and sits down at the Gryffindor table and start filling their plates with food.
"Thank you Ron, for what you did. You didn't have to do that," Christi said.
"No problem, besides he's one of us. We have to protect each other and stand up for the others when we didn't do anything," Ron says.
Christi smiles and hugs him giggling.
They're all laughing and Harry looks at Christi and Castor.
"You two going out for the team?" he asks.
"Yup, I defiantly am. Because if Draco turns into even more of an ass you'll need the next best seeker for Gryffindor," Christi teases Harry.
He starts laughing and shakes his head.
"I'm a kick arse chaser," Castor said.
"Cool, we need a good chaser," Harry said.
They all head off to class and Christi shows Castor around the school. Draco would just glare at them every time they would walk past him. He didn't like it that his twin was dating or would soon be dating one of the few girls he had yet to bed.
