Chapter 2- I'm Pregnant?!
Everyday, the Sons made their way to Capsule Corp so the boys could train. And everyday, Goku and Gohan both would come staggering out of the Gravity Room, exhausted and beat up. But every evening, Chi-Chi would fix them a large warm meal to satisfy their stomachs.
Unlike what Bulma thought, Chi-Chi had no plans for Goku. She didn't even know he was coming back! Still... She had missed her husband, and they did spend a few nights together like a married couple should.
"I have to go," Goku said on the last day he had with his family. Chi-Chi wasn't even hiding her tears like Gohan was trying so bravely to do. "It's okay, Son, but now you've got to be strong. Do you remember everything I taught you...?"
"Yes, Daddy," Gohan nodded.
Goku smiled, hugging him tightly as he continued. "Good. I know when Trunks gets older, he'll no doubt look up to you. He's going to need someone to teach him, like I taught you. Take care of your mother, okay?"
Gohan nodded, "thanks, Dad, for everything... I'll try my best to make very thing right again! I promise!"
"I know you will," Goku smiled.
"Goku," Baba appeared, sitting on her crystal ball. "I'm afraid it's time..."
"Take care, you two," Goku hugged Chi-Chi and Gohan as tightly as he could without hurting them. "I'll be waiting for you both, but hopefully, I won't have to see you guys for a very long time... Until then, I'll be watching over you. I love you..." And just like that, he was gone, again.

A month had passed by quickly after Goku left. Gohan, remembering all that his father had taught him, trains daily. He even taught Trunks how to fly, though Bulma didn't allow the younger boy to learn anything else. Chi-Chi was sad to see her little boy growing up so much, but in another sense, she was happy... Her son was a fine young man...
"Chi-Chi," Bulma called, sitting down beside the woman in the bathroom floor where she had been for the past half hour throwing up. "Could you possibly be pregnant...?"
Chi-Chi's eyes widened, how could she have been so stupid to not see the signs that had been right in front of her? Morning sickness, cravings, irritability, and other things... But most of all, how could she bring a innocent baby into this horrible world?
"It's okay," Bulma hugged her friend when she started breaking down. "We'll run to a drug store and pick up a test."
Chi-Chi was on autopilot the whole time. After she has done her business with the stick, five minutes had never took so long to pass for her.
"I can't look," she whispered, glancing at Bulma. "Will you?"
Bulma nodded, standing up and walking to the counter. She picked up the test, looking at it carefully. Slowly, she looked at her friend and gave a small nod.
"I'm pregnant...?" Chi-Chi whispered, and Bulma nodded again. "I'm such a horrible person!" She shouted her first thought. The poor baby didn't deserve to be born in such a terrible world.
"Chi-Chi, listen to me!" Bulma ordered sternly, falling on her knees beside her friend and grabbing her shoulders. "You are not a horrible person, and this isn't your fault! This baby might be born into a world full of hate, but you, Gohan, Trunks and I will all love it to make up for the hate. Be thankful that you are going to have another child that's apart of Goku, even if he's not here... This baby will be half-Saiyan, too, you know. When it gets older it can help Gohan and Trunks fight!"
"I'm sorry," Chi-Chi sniffed. She hadn't even been thinking about how Bulma was feeling, and just made we feel worse. The bluenette would never be able to have another child with Vegeta.
"It's okay," Bulma assured her friend gently. "You know what...? How about you and Gohan move into Capsule Corp with me and Trunks...? We can help each other out that we; we've got to stick together, you know. We're all we have..."
"It's okay...?" Chi-Chi rubbed her eyes.
Bulma smiled with a nod. "Chi-Chi, over the years, you've become my best friend. I could say you're like a sister I never had. Plus, I love Gohan dearly, like my own. And Trunks just adores him."
"Thank you, Bulma," Chi-Chi smiled. "You're a life saver!"

As the months passed, Chi-Chi's stomach seemed to grow larger by the day. Gohan was excited, already he had changed his mind several times as if he wanted a little brother or sister, but in the end, he decided he didn't care. He would be happy with either one. Trunks, who was still only three, seemed to not know what to think. Chi-Chi had caught him staring at her stomach several times, but each she had asked if he wanted to feel the baby, he'd shake his head no.
"Have you thought of any names?" Bulma asked Chi-Chi one warm day as they sat outside as the nod played.
"A few..." Chi-Chi admitted. "For a boy, I like the name Goten. And for a girl, Pan."
Trunks' head shot over to the women when he heard the name, the the girls noticed this. His eyebrows knitted together, as if he was thinking very deeply about something.
"Want to feel the baby kick?" Chi-Chi asked, already knowing he probably wouldn't, but he always seemed so curious about it...
"No..." Trunks mumbled.
"Oh, Trunks, there's nothing to be scared about," Bulma told him, motioning for him to come over with her hand. "Come on, come feel the baby."
Slowly Trunks walked over before holding his hand for Chi-Chi. With a smile, she took his small hand and placed it on her stomach, right where the baby was. She gasped, for as soon as Trunks' hand had touched her stomach, the baby moved!
"Did you feel it?" Chi-Chi asked Trunks with a smile.
Trunks grinned, nodding his head as he kept his eye focused on her stomach. It wasn't a few minutes later the bay got hiccups, causing the boy to start laughing, as if it was the funniest thing ever. His laughter caused the baby to move around quite a bit, and Chi-Chi realized the baby always seemed to move around a lot when Trunks was around and talking... Maybe it liked his voice.
"Pan," Trunks said suddenly.
"What?" Chi-Chi asked.
"The baby's name is Pan," Trunks told her seriously.
Chi-Chi's eyes widened as the baby in her stomach suddenly became still, as if it was agreeing with Trunks. The woman didn't exactly know how... But at that moment, she just knew she would be having a little girl.
