You guys are great. I'm sorry I haven't been better with this story... I've just recently got inspired again, and hope to crank out more of this amazing story I had going in my head...Don't give up on me. But here's a sneak peak to tie you over. More to come soon!
Hoping she wouldn't hear me would be illogical. Thinking she wouldn't pick up on me lying to her, is also, illogical. I won't even waste time anymore, just tell her the truth, I thought.
"Rose?" I say, even though we aren't in the same room.
"Just go. You know I won't be here when you get back. And I don't need to know where you are, just go." She appeared out of nowhere from behind, hissing in my ear. I turned around, lightening quick.
"Look, I don't know why you're persecuting me. You did this. You pulled away. This was all you."
"Maybe, but I'm not the one going for a dog."
I picked up the lamp next to me and threw it at the wall.
"Goodbye Rosalie."
"Emmett."
I could feel my parents presence, before I saw them. I knew they wouldn't ask too many questions, Esmee always wanted me to be happy, no matter what. And Carlisle was the most understanding creature that I had ever met. So, I knew I didn't owe them an explanation, but somehow, I felt I needed to give them one.
"Uh, hey guys." I said, scratching the back of my neck, "I'm, uh, going to see Jake. That okay?"
They looked at me like I was crazy, since when had I asked permission for anything from them in the time I had joined their family?
"No Emmett, I think that will be fine." Esmee said, a smile sneaking up on her face, telling me it sounded as ridiculous as I thought it was.
"I expect you to make good choices always Emmett, no matter what the cost." Carlisle said, looking upstairs to where Rosalie, undoubtedly sat.
"Thanks."
And I left, not for good, but I was gone, they knew how to find me if they needed me, but right now, I needed to talk to Jake. I needed to apologize for acting like such an asshole. I needed to tell him, no, show him, that this wasn't what I had intended to happen. I needed to make it right.
