Chapter 2 Freedom and Alizeh.
Deep in a vast cave in the North Valley, lies a magical urn created from powerful and rather old magic. The urn is a terrible prison created for those who are both blessed and cursed with magic. And the current resident in the urn is one of the most tragic victims the urn has ever come across. The victim feels like there is no one left in this world who truly loves her or cares for her. But little does she know that someone has been looking for her for quite some time. Entering the vast cave is a gentle but powerful stream of snow, ice and frost quickly locate the urn the magic quickly covers the urn in ice only to shatter the urn from the inside releasing its victim. The victim who at first appears as some form of silver liquid but only for a few seconds before it regains its true human form.
"Ah its good to be back its been far too long," Ingrid says to herself. The magic that freed her then transforms into a rather fancy key. Now holding the key Ingrid examines it and notices two initials 'F.W'. Ingrid smiled she knew who the initials belong to.
"I'm looking forward to meeting you again my king," Ingrid said.
Meanwhile, Frostbite arrives near their home the boy still on his back. Frostbite is standing tall on the edge of a large and tall cliff. To most people, the late hours equalled freezing weather. But to the boy it was perfect. Some of the peaceful clouds recognise the duo and begin to gather and change their shape. The boy smiles he might just home before Alizeh knows he left in the first place. The clouds that gathered together changed into what it appears to be a never-ending path.
"Come on boy." The boy tells Frostbite gently patting Frostbite left side. Frostbite soon sets off. The walk across the path most people would think would last for hours but in fact, was only five minutes. The two arrive outside a palace made out of clouds that are almost crystal-like. The palace is large from the outside no one could count all the windows and doors accurately. The boy hops off Frostbite's back and the two enter the palace. The inside of the palace was more beautiful the many windows brought in the light the many stars shined, the walls were covered with all kinds of bird species painted the floor still made of cloud was soft but resembled wood.
"I'll just head back to my room and pretend to be asleep. When Alizeh comes to check on me, she won't even though I left." The boy told Frostbite before heading over to his room. Reaching his bedroom door, he enters with Frostbite entering after. The boy heads over to his bed.
"Morning Jackson." A voice that Jackson recognised instantly. He turns to face the source of the voice to see well not actually see in the way you would be expect.
"Alizeh, when did you get back? I just this minute woke up." Jack started damn it Jack thought to himself, he was certain he timed everything right. Alizeh is a rather unique and special being one that so many comes by but never truly sees. Alizeh has no physical body however when she wishes to be seen like right now. Alizeh, when wishes to be seen, takes appearance is that of the spirit of a girl around seventeen-nineteen. Who has eyes are a clear blue as the morning sky and her hair appears to be almost golden. She is wearing a gown that appears to be made of entirely white fabric with all kinds of white bird feathers.
"Oh, should I say night Jackson, I've been sat here for the past three hours. Unless you now have the ability to be invisible I would clearly think about your next response." Alizeh said.
"Well technically you can't really sit so, I think you might have to rephrase what you've just said," Jack responded making a slight joke. Alizeh just sighs and rolls her eyes before clenching one of her fists summoning a powerful gust of wind out of nowhere which hits Jack throwing him at one of the walls and keeping him there.
"You never have known to think before you speak Jackson. There a reason as to why you stay here at this palace because it is your father's command. Instead of the Winter Kingdom. You need to tell me when you're going to the land below its dangerous." Alizeh lectured.
"Dangerous I have magic in one of its rarest forms! The only time I get to see other people is when Ember, Daphne and Arthur come to visit. But which is what three times a year since they're all busy with their respective seasonal duties? I'm tired of being up here twenty-four seven." Jack complained.
"I have no choice but to abide by his wishes Jackson as are you not only as his son but as a seasonal and his subject." Alizeh responded not enjoying this conversation either.
"I haven't seen him since I was five, why should I follow what he commands when he can't even pay one visit," Jack says. Alizeh ends her spell releasing Jack allowing him to slide down the wall.
"Things are a lot more complicated than you realise he, has a lot of enemies and responsibilities you have yet to comprehend. He has yet to find your mother." Alizeh tells Jack unaware of Ingrid just being freed earlier. Jack just yawns letting out a tired expression.
"Look can this conversation be finished later, I'm really tired and hungry?" Jack sort of requested. Alizeh decides to take temporary sympathy for a while this conversation might get worse if it carries on right this moment. Alizeh nods granting a silence yes.
"For now yes but when you awaken I expect to see you in the dining room." Alizeh spoke before vanishing.
"Night Frostbite, I wonder if the condemned get last requests for food." Jack said before climbing into bed. The bed is rather and large and could carry even Frostbite's weight. Frostbite soon jumps onto the bed and curls up next to Jack the duo soon fall into a slumber.
End of chapter 2.
