...umm. Alright im gonna be totally honest. When I uhhh... posted that first chapter... I was a bit delusional. Sickness can do that to ya. And then I read it over, and thought,

"Eh, what the heck. Might as well post this. Took me longer than I thought it would, don't wanna waste MY precious sweat/tears".

So yep. Didn't exactly know what to expect. Maybe like 1 review...? Then, fast-forward a few hours, I'm not even trying to praise myself, A. FEW. FRICKEN. HOURS. And uhhh...whoa. Was MY FIRST fic worthy of all that awesomeness? No. But somehow a bunch of amazing human beings liked it/followed. U guys scared me a little bit...;) So OBVIOUSLY I had to continue. Bc if I didn't, then I was gonna feel like an A-hole. U guys are worth it, ya shook me to the core.

IMPORTANT! PLZ READ! Here's da deal. What You're about to read is another completely different AU. Yes, everything stays the same...up until the part where Hela leaves the dungeons. This one-shot is what would've happened IF... Hela took Loki with her to Hel. Rly hope that makes sense. Reading some beautiful reviews inspired me to write this the way I did. Btw, I responded to everybody's reviews at the end to show some of my gratitude ;) Thank u and enjoy :) also, HAPPY BELATED EASTER!... is that even a thing? Welp, I just made it one.

"Welcome home my son". The baby shifted at the sound of his mother's gentle tone. Opening his dazzling eyes, the baby quicky shut them again due to the overwhelming brightness all around him. That brightness just happened to be scorching flames, brutally burning down mourning dark souls. Ahhh, just another glorious day in Hel.

Hela chuckled at seeing her child's reaction. And also proud when she felt no fear from him. That was her boy.

But her amusement was short-lived. It suddenly clicked in her head that her child was half Jotun. And the Frost Giants were known not to handle heat in general very well. Oh norns...

Heading straight towards her palace, at a speed that seemed impossible, Hela nearly tore down the rotting doors. Her slaves shrieked in surprise/fear at the wild entrance. Well, she calls these... things slaves. More like defective skeletons, that begged for mercy just to be away from the flames for awhile. And being the generous ruler of this infectious place that she was, Hela granted them permission.

And now she was starting to regret giving them that permission.

A whining cry brought her back to reality. The babe was now fully awake. And...hungry perhaps...?

"Alright little one, I'll nurse you. You needn't be so fussy about it," she whispered tiredly. And with that, she brushed past the skeletons, and headed up to her room.

Sleep came so easily for the exhausted goddess. And the newborn.

Hela woke up first, rolling over to ensure her son was safe. He was. And that caused her to smile. She couldn't imagine Laufey raising him. If he even would be willing to raise him...

No. She wouldn't allow her imagination to drift that far.

Who knew in just a week, her heart would soften so. That she would grow so fond/protective over this babe.

This babe. Oh look, she still hadn't thought of giving him a name.

Sitting herself up on the surprisingly comfortable bed, she picked him up slowly as to not wake him. She carefully touched his markings out of mild curiosity. Hmm, these weren't just any average markings. They symbolized royalty. How convenient. It didn't take long for the boy to wake up from his mother's constant prodding. He blinked sleepily. Damn this child and it's overwhelming sweetness. His innocence nearly broke Hela's heart. If only she still kept at least half of her son's purity. He had no idea, that his father was a twisted monster, that his mother was cursed and forced to live in exile, that he was to be raised in literal Hel, and that he had a pathetic excuse of a grandfather. No clue.

What happened next almost caused Hela to jump. Her babe yawned, just yawned. But somehow that caused something to happen. Because one moment, he was blue. And the next, his skin turned pale, the markings disappeared, and his eyes turned a memorizing shade of deep green. Those were her eyes...

...What...?

Several weeks later, Hela had learned plenty of interesting things about her son. First, that he unlocked the ability to reveal the asgardian side of him. Second, that he must remain in the palace, AT ALL TIMES. The castle was shockingly extremely cool, despite the blistering heat from outside their walls. Third, he had natural magic running through his veins. Powerful magic. But she'd teach him how to control it as he grew older. True, she was no sorcerer, but did that truly even matter...? And finally,

She had chosen a name for him. It suited him. Yes, it was perfect, and rather appropriate. Fit title for the future ruler of the universe.

Her heir, her firstborn,

Loki.

"Mother..."? Hela smiled.

"Come in my son".

Almost immediately, a seven year old boy peered his raven-colored head into her doorway.

"Are you... angry with me"? Oh, the question sounded so innocent. The boy was becoming a cunning little trickster.

"Why no. It makes me so happy to find out that Loki decided to directly disobey the rules, go outside the walls, waste his magic to create a portal, to go up and visit the cosmos ".

"...".

"...".

"You're angry".

"Yes I am, get over here".

Loki breathed out nervously. What was he thinking...? Mother would kill him... it's just he was so sick of being stuck in Hel. Being the only one who had the ability to leave this place freely was just... temptation. Walking over and immediately kneeling at the foot of Hela's throne, he patiently awaited his punishment.

Hela sighed, she hated when Loki did this. He was still a child, yet he insisted on formalities. He acted as though their kingdom held actual honor/worth.

"Rise Loki, I hadn't meant that. I meant sit on my lap".

Surprised, yet relived, the boy gladly welcomed himself in his mother's arms.

"Now, why did you sneak off while I was still asleep? And then cast a spell on the skeletons so they'd be made unconscious. Which startled me mind you, I didn't know the undead were capable of being knocked out".

Loki snorted before becoming serious.

"Forgive me my queen, I reason I ran off so carelessly is because...well, erm. I... it's not that I don't, I appreciate...but this place is disgus-... No! What I meant was-". Hela cut him off.

"You don't like it here".

Loki nodded his small head shamefully.

"Listen darling, I understand. I understand being here is hard, and I'm so sorry that I can't provide you with more, you deserve more as a Prince. Unfortunately, I have to remain here until the All-Father breathes his final breath-".

"The bastard," Loki sneered angrily.

Hela snapped her fingers.

"Language. But yes, he is a bastard. You just don't use that word til you're older. Because of all this, not to mention tomorrow is your eighth birthday, I shall not burden you with a punishment. Only a warning, if you do do this again, you will face major consequences".

Loki smiled back at her brightly, he had nearly forgotten his birthday was the next day.

Was giving Loki a pet serpent a bad idea? Norns, it wasn't exactly ideal. The blasted thing couldn't even hiss properly, but it didn't make it any less horrifying. It was an undead snake. It's scales were practically hanging off it's corpse. Disgusting.

But Loki loved him. Said it was the perfect gift. Hooray. She wasn't exactly sure how to react to her son embracing, yes, embracing the serpent. Eight years old, and smitten by a snake.

A snake that she gave him. She was to have nightmares for sure, oh the irony of this entire situation.

"Darling, why are you dawdling so? I can sense you grappling with your clever mind from a mile away, what's wrong"? The twelve-year-old slowly lifted his vision to meet his mother's firm, yet concerned gaze. Loki was practicing his Jotun powers. Which usually meant he had one blue arm, a blue forehead with beautiful markings, and blood-red eyes during the process. But this time, his hand was the only part of him that was blue. And his eyes were still green, but they appeared clouded with doubt. That was unsettling.

"Mother, I know who my father was, and that's why I'm like...this".

Hela caught the self-hatred laced in his voice.

"But it doesn't feel right...I don't feel right. This isn't natural, one moment I feel like myself. Like your son, like I belong. But the next, whenever I become this...this thing. It feels wrong, I'm reminded of my father, even if I've never met him. I bring shame without even intending to. I don't derserve any title my Queen. I'm not worthy of being called your son...".

The goddess's eyes widened and she stumbled a little. Loki's eyes began to water as he looked her straight in the eye.

"... Am I a monster mama..."?

Bolting faster than lightning, Hela rushed forward and knelt right by his side. Cupping his chin steadily, and using her other hand to wipe away the forming tears, she spoke.

"No. No you're not. Not even close. I'm not sure you understand the meaning of 'monster' my boy. Your father's a monster. But not because of his race, no. He's a monster because he's a twisted being with absolutely no morals. That's why he's a monster. But never compare yourself to him. Your father doesn't define who you are. You are Loki, yes, you are half asgardian, half jotun, but that's what makes you so special. No one else has access to the powers you have, nor can they manipulate anyone so skillfully with just words. I don't care whether your skin is pale, blue, or pink. You are my son, and I'll always love you, no matter what".

Immediately after those words left her mouth, both hugged each other tightly.

At last. It was time.

Hela glanced to her right, where Loki looked just as eager as she was to abandon this damned place. Her son, now a man. He was ready. Wearing his black armor and his dark green cape behind him. She had to admit, the silver horned helmet suited him extremely well.

Odin passed away at the perfect time. Ragnarok was now upon all of them.

She felt so proud of Loki. He had remained strictly loyal throughout the centuries, he had only left once when he was merely seven. After that, he willingly stayed in Hel with her. Both waiting for when they'd be released. Now was their time. Now her son would finally rule.

"He's gone mother," he remarked softly, obviously fighting not to laugh or smile.

"So it seems. But we're not leaving".

Loki's head whipped around, staring at her in shock.

"Not until you adjust that cape properly. That's been getting on my last nerve".

The God of Mischief bit down his snarky tongue, he knew better than to talk back to his mother, especially right now.

Hela smirked satisfied when she saw him fix it quickly. Stepping forward, she felt all her old powers returning to her at a rapid rate. It took her less than a second to form the portal.

"After you my boy".

Ragnarok went exactly how it was predicted. Bloody battles, roaring flames, death, chaos, ruin. Basically, to sum it all up. Hela and Loki won. Hela practically lost it when she saw her old home again. Loki had been a little more careful. Even compassionate by sometimes sneaking away from the battle to ensure the safety of the innocent families of Asgard.

But he was not soft.

He had fought against Heimdall, the city's Gatekeeper. And needless to say, that specific fight was... intense. Loki had left bloodied and with several broken bones. But he was able to successfully finish off the Gatekeeper. With a direct stab to the chest. Using his magic to heal the worst of his wounds. And casting a glamour spell to hide the gore. Loki forced himself to continue for his mother.

Hela was ruthless, destroying everything in her path. Murdering every soldier she saw. Eventually, she came face to face with Thor.

To be honest, she expected more.

The God of Thunder did fight like a true Son of Odin. But it was hardly enough.

She thrust her lean swords into his side. He screamed with nothing but anguish.

Just before she could pierce his beating heart with her blade, someone stopped her.

Infuriated, she whirled around, ready to choke the life out of whoever dared interfere. That was until she saw who it was.

"Mother. That's enough, no one else has to die. It's over," Loki murmured calmly as he was using his magic to temporarily freeze her sword.

Blinking, the the goddess became aware of everything, and was taken out of her dark rampaging state.

Hela admired her son's honour. But mostly felt horrified that she almost hurt him.

Asgard was dead. Destroyed, as if it never existed in the first place. Hela wanted no memory of it, and frankly, Loki respected her decision.

They had let Thor and all the families leave in peace. From what Loki understood, 'The God of Thunder' was to be the people's leader. The trickster secretly felt extremely relieved that the innocent were spared the bloodshed. He couldn't live with that on his conscience.

Loki suggested they should take a trip across the galaxy. Hela agreed. Stargazing sounded nice... and very much needed for everything they've been through.

Ahhh, wars, smoke, blood. Those are mother-son goals right there. And NOBODY can convince me otherwise ;). Everybody needs to close their eyes and imagine how hot Loki would look with all Black armor and a silver colored helmet. Now I know what you're thinking, 'Oh nooo, Midnight totally screwed up and she literally made me read this? How did this happen?' Welp. I uhhh, did definitely scew up... heh heh... *dodges tomatoes*. Tbh, I have NO idea how the heck to continue my first chapter. My brain died. RIP BRAIN. But if y'all have any suggestions/requests then PLEASE let me know, in your reviews. And I will see what I can do. Whether it's for the first chapter or this second one, doesn't matter.

Also, can we all take a moment to appreciate what a HUGE momma-boy Loki is...? Whether it's Frigga or Hela... doesn't matter. He's just a momma-boy eternally at heart . I love him.
