The meeting of beta and new.

I was stopped by someone standing in the middle of the alley I was running down. He turned around before I ran into him; he asked me "Where are you going."

I replied that was going to a good training spot. He wanted to come with me to learn how the game worked. I noticed that he was also a key blade wielder, like me.

There are three classes, wizards who use magical staffs, the shield rushers, who as the name implies use shield. The last class was the key blade wielders, the most balanced class in terms of attack, defense and magic. I had him follow me while he asked questions; the most basic question I got was "Why do the shield and magic users look like animals?" I told him that it's because that's how the real games had those two classes as.

When we got the training area, I asked him

"What's your name?" I asked him.

He replied "Ken."

This guy had no idea what he was getting himself into. We started talking about why we chose this game. I had signed up for the beta when it was in closed beta. He had just bought the game that day.

"So, what do you know about the games that they based this one on?" I asked him, i was curious to learn anything I could from this guy.

"Well I played the first game but apart from that not much of the other ones." He told me.

That was fine; most of the combat was from the first game. They had a dual wield skill but you had to be a high level to use it. I was shooting for the legendary tri blade wielding skill, the most powerful skill in the game.

"So, how did you get into the game?" he asked me, breaking me from my train of thought.

"I was a beta tester, but most of the people here are all new." I told him with a smirk.

It was true most of the beta testers were done with game. Many of them had gotten to the 25th floor with large problems.

"I think I should log off for the night." He told me as he got up from his spot.

"Yeah, me too." I said as he helped me up.

We both pulled down the drop down menu and were about to log off.

"Hey, what's the deal." He yelled out load

"What's the problem?" I asked him

"Look at where the log off button should be." He told me.

I looked where it should have been, and it wasn't there. What was going on here?

"What's that sound." He said.

Then I heard the sound, it was the main towns bell which teleports players to the main square in case of trouble with the game.

We were both teleported to the square where many people were yelling that they couldn't log out of the game.

"What do you think is going on man?" Ken asked me with a concerned look on his face.

"I wish I knew, I wish I knew." I kept repeating to him.

The sky above us suddenly turned black, the only color was from the moon which was shaped like a heart. Then from the ground a long white fabric took the shape of a hooded person.

"Well since most you have seen the log out button is gone. That is a new part of the game, you see." The hooded person said to everybody.

"Many people outside of the game have removed the head piece which caused it to fry the brain of the user." The hooded man told us.

The head piece was synced to our brain so that would have killed anybody if it was forcefully ripped off. Then I lifted my head and saw news reports about people that had died.

"In your inventory there is a gift from me to you." He said to the crowd.
