What's up guys? How's it hanging? I'm contemplating what to do to Ahsoka next but for now I'll just help her get on her feet before she gets knocked back down. And I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while (aka a year), I was uninspired. SO I watched all the episodes of SW: Rebels (which is phenomenal) to fuel me. ENJOY!
(Btw, I'm changing it all to 3rd person perspective)
The door to Senator Padme Amidala's room hissed open. Anakin slowly strolled in with a sorrowful look on his face. Padme walked around folding clothes and adjusting her home. She turned to him with a bright smile.
"Hello Ani. How's Ahsoka? Is she alright? Did they let her back in the Order?" she quickly asked. Anakin looked up at his wife, his lip quivering and tears forming at his eyes.
"Ani? Ani, what's wrong?" she asked as she walked over to him and hugged him.
"She's gone."
"Gone? What do you mean 'She's gone'?"
Anakin held her hand and kissed it, walking her to the couch and sitting her down.
"Ahsoka's gone, Padme…Master Yoda offered her a chance back into the Order and…she turned us down…" Padme covered her mouth to stifle a gasp. She placed a caring hand on Anakin's chest. "Oh Anakin…I'm so sorry. I wish I could have done more for her—for the both of you—" Anakin raised his hand to cut her off.
"It's not your fault."
"Do you know where she went?"
"No, I don't. And where could she go, Padme? I mean, this is her home. She grew up here. I don't know if she has family out there. When Master Plo Koon found her, she was completely alone."
Padme gave him a stern look. "Anakin, we can't just leave her out there. She could be in danger for all we know!" she exclaimed. He looked at her, almost apathetically. "Captain Rex is setting up a search party to look for her in the lower levels. If they can't find her, no one can."
She was quiet as she searched his face. She quickly went into their bedroom and changed into civilian clothes. "I'm going out there to find her." Anakin jumped up to stop her.
"Padme, I understand that you want to help her and so do I, believe me, I do, but…" Anakin thought back to his argument with Obi-Wan. "I've learned that these things take time. I think Ahsoka needs some time to think things through. She may come back on her own." Padme was already at the door.
"And she may not! Anakin, she needs guidance right now! And I'm going to give it to her…" she walked out the door, pushing past her husband with her shoulder.

The door to Ahsoka room hissed open while she slept. A maintenance droid rolled into the room and began to dust…very obnoxiously. A cloud of dust formed all around her, making her cough herself awake. She waved it away and watched the droid work.
"Really?" The droid looked over at her before it continued working. Ahsoka rolled her eyes and got out of bed to stretch. "Hey…Can you clean the bathroom for me?" she asked the droid. The droid made a random assortment of noises and wheeled into the bathroom. In a few seconds, the droid came rushing out, whirling around and screaming (the strange way droids do). It ran face-first into a wall. Ahsoka chuckled a little.
"How do you think I felt last night?"
The droid quaked in fear before rolling back into the bathroom.
She smirked to herself before heading over to the window. Ahsoka moved back the curtain slightly and looked at the civilians below.
"Ahsoka, what are you going to do?" she asked myself, quietly as she gazed off into the distance. Ahsoka turned away from the window and plopped down on the bed.
Her stomach grumbled loudly in the room.
"Maybe some food would help…"

Anakin quickened his pace as he tried to catch up with Padme. "Padme-Senator Amidala, wait!" He sped up and grabbed onto her hand. Padme glanced back at him with an annoyed glare. She snatched her hand back. "You can't stop me from going. I need to at least know that she is okay."
"So what are you gonna do, Padme? Just walk around with a picture asking if anyone has seen her?"
"Well-someone on the street has had to have seen her! Clothing stores, weapons depos, hotels-anywhere! Also, security cameras! There are too many options for us not to be able to find her!"
"Padme, she's a Jedi. She wouldn't let herself be see so often unless she had to. Finding her is going to be much harder than you're capable of…"
Padme's face twisted as she was (unintentionally) disrespected. "Excuse me? And what exactly am I capable of, Anakin?" she challenged, get close to Anakin's face.
"Padme, I didn't mean it like that!" "What other way could you have meant it?" "Not in the way that you're thinking!" "Then what way?!" "Padme, what I'm saying is that-uh…"
Padme narrowed her eyes at him. "That's all I needed to hear. You go run your little search party and I'll actually go look for Ahsoka. Have a good day, Master Skywalker." She stormed off.
Anakin's hand reached out to her but he stopped himself. He was never good when it came to talking to her.
~I'm sorry, Master. But I'm not coming back.~
"You owe me 520 credits. Hmm...better yet, make it 550, eh?"
Ahsoka narrowed her eyes at him. "No way! You're gonna charge me 150 more credits just because I came after business hours? That doesn't even make any sense!"
Gruutal narrowed his eyes at her and fluttered over to her. "This is-uh my business, you understand me girl!? I make the prices around here!" Ahsoka scrunched up her face in annoyance before slamming the credits on the table. She leaned really close to Gruutal's face. "We better not cross paths again, you crook." Gruutal backed up against the wall, swallowing loudly. "Uh...s-sure."
Ahsoka smirked before walking towards the door. She paused in the door and turned to him, smiling sweetly. "Have a nice day," she teased before closing the door.
Gruutal stared at the door, gobsmacked, before shaking his fist angrily.
"And stay out!" Gruutal slid the credits into his hand. "Schutta."
~I'm sorry, Master. But I'm not coming back.~
Ahsoka held herself as she walked down the street, her eyes focused on her feet. She stopped in front of the old diner that she and Anakin used to go to whenever they got sick of rations (which was always) and peered inside. Her eyes traveled to their favorite table and she could feel tears burning her eyes. She quickly snapped her eyes shut and kept on walking.
Her appetite was gone.
On the rooftop of the apartment complex across the street, a creature crouched, clearly watching Ahsoka. It looked left and right before leaping away.
~I'm sorry, Master. But I'm not coming back.~
"Greetings. And aren't you a pretty thang?" said the luxury droid behind the counter of the clothing store, with an artificial country accent. She wheeled herself from the counter and followed Ahsoka for a bit. "Would you like any assistance, suga'? We're havin' our annual 70% off sale."
Ahsoka stopped walking and turned to the droid. "I just want something simple." The droid placed her cold metallic hand on Ahsoka's face. "Now why's a pretty thang like you poutin' like that? Did you have a bad break-up or somethin'? Come on now, tell your Auntie Jo."
"...No, just-having a bad day is all…"
"Well then!-"
"...Ahsoka."
"Ahsoka-darlin', we just need to spoil you rotten! Now follow me to the back." Jo quickly wheeled off into the back. Ahsoka smiled slightly before following the droid.
(A few moments later)
"Now aren't you just precious?" Jo squealed, clasping her hands together as she admired Ahsoka. Ahsoka looked herself up and down in the mirror. She was wearing a bat-winged long-sleeved brown tunic with white leggings underneath along with her black boots.
"And the best part is that this lovely tunic has a hood!" Jo explained as she wheeled to Ahsoka's side and flipped the hood up. Ahsoka adjusted the hood and smiled. "Thanks, Auntie Jo."
"No problem, Ahsoka! And you know what? I like you so you can have this stuff for free."
Ahsoka turned to her in shock. "I can't do that! I'll pay for it!"
Jo waved her off. "It's fine, dear. Now go on and don't let the rain catch ya'!" she shouted as lightly pushed Ahsoka towards the door.
Ahsoka turned to Jo. "Thanks."
"No problem, suga'. Have a nice day!" Jo said, waving and smiling (although her face never changes). Ahsoka nodded and ran off.
Just like before, the creature crouched on a rooftop across the street before leaping away.

Padme prepared her Naboo ship along with assistance from R2. Anakin quietly walked into the hanger and stopped behind her. "You'll never be able to find Ahsoka if you use that ship."
Padme gasped in fright and dropped the wrench in her hand. R2 beeped, saying 'Hi.' to Anakin. "How ya doin', buddy?" Anakin asked.
"And what makes you say that?" Padme asked, clearly still upset with him. "Ahsoka knows what your ship looks like and she definitely knows the Twilight, which is why I suggest we take one of the transports down to the lower levels." Padme turned to him.
"'We?'"
"Yes, we. I've called off the search party. It's just gonna be you and me…" Anakin said, with a mischievous glare in his eyes.
"I'm coming, too." Obi-Wan said, walking into the hanger. Anakin scowled a bit. Padme noticed. "Thank you, Master Kenobi. We're going to need all the help we can get," she chimed in.
"So what's the plan?" Obi-Wan asked.
"If I were in her position, I would be trying to get a new identity. New clothes, a shelter, and some food-" Anakin began.
"-but she would most likely avoid any street vendors, because of all the security, so she would only go in stores-" Padme continued.
"-and she would have kept her head low to avoid contact with others." Obi-Wan finished.
The transport slowly hummed down to the hanger, it's doors hissing open.
"Alright, let's go." Anakin commanded.
~I'm sorry, Master. But I'm not coming back.~
Ahsoka walked down the alley, searching around. A family of 3 Tookas ran around, pouncing on one another. A cold breeze whipped past her, making her shudder and hold herself.
"I'm definitely not going back to that hotel," she said to herself. Her stomach grumbled in annoyance. "Don't worry, I hear ya." Her stomach grumbled again. Suddenly, she felt a presence. She paused and quickly got into a battle stance. "What do you want!?" she shouted to whoever was lurking.
The creature was on the rooftop behind her.
"Answer me!" The creature jumped and flipped in the air, landing perfectly in front of Ahsoka. It was a Togruta male. He startled Ahsoka and she took a few steps back. Her eyes scanned the boy.
He had red skin with bright orange eyes and long blue and white headtails. He wore a white sleeveless tunic and brown pants along with black boots. His white face markings reminded her of diamonds along with the white patch going from his bottom lip to his chin. Judging by the length of his headtails, he was a bit older than her. He was twirling the akul-teeth on his necklace in his hand.
"Who are you?" she asked cautiously. "And why have you been following me?"
He smirked. "My name is Jax. And I wasn't exactly following you, I was...observing you."
Ahsoka raised her brow. "Observing me?" she repeated placing a knuckle on her hip.
"Yeah, it's not everyday you see a Togruta in the lower levels." Ahsoka looked at him sideways.
"Rrriight…Do me a favor and stop following me." Ahsoka said, pointing her nose in the air, closing her eyes, and walking off.
"Uh, okay...But just to let you know, there's a big rainstorm coming and I'm pretty sure you won't have a place to stay by then." Ahsoka paused.
"I live not too far from here." Jax added.
"Hmph" was Ahsoka's only response as she continued to walk away, her nose in the air with her eyes closed again.
"I've got plenty of food." Ahsoka paused, turning her head slowly to Jax.
"What's in it for you?"
Jax looked confused for a second. "Nothing at all. We Togrutas gotta stick together, right?"
Ahsoka rolled her eyes and walked back towards him. "Lead the way," she said plainly. Jax gave her his crooked smile before walking ahead. Just as they were swallowed by the darkness of the alley, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme stopped near it. The trio looked around and kept on walking ahead as they continued the search.
Well that's the end of that! Tell me what you think! Do we like Jax? Are we suspicious of him? What's his deal? All these questions will be answered at some point! Stay tuned.
