Chapter 2: A world painted in war and tragedy, Part 1
I awoke in a bed, a monitor beeping, and a monotone beep. I sat up, my back aching. I looked outside. The sky was still blue but clouds were rolling in, as something attacked us. I fell out of the bed as something hit the ship. I landed hard on my head. I rubbed my head for a few seconds before getting back up and rushing outside. I saw these weird dragon lookalikes, as well as a robot fixing the ship. I must be losing my mind right now. Wait, I know what those things are called. "Wyverns." I said aloud, just as I saw one attacking the ship on the side. I lashed out; striking it with a ray that sent it backward and off the ship. It screeched, flying upward. Just then, the robot got back on the ship, all safe and sound. After a few minutes, they got attacked by one wyvern and two of the robots got carried off. Emily tried to go after them but she fell. I rushed after the wyvern, as it flew off. I gave one extra burst of speed but it was too fast for me. I felt something hit me. It was Emily! But why? I flew back to the ship, only to get hit again. This time, I rolled out of te way of her beams. I kept running, nothing stopping me.
I hid inside the grates, where it was quite stuffy. I heard something about traveling into a storm and "funnel clouds". Whatever those are, I do not know. But when the storm passed, we arrived on a weird place. Soon after, I heard kitchen clattering and what sounded like a scream. I followed outside, my hood over my head. I attacked as soon as he threatened to kill someone. I punched his gut, (do they even have those?), and then punched him in the face, then kicked his chest.
I sighed, just as he punched me. I growled, licking my blood and tasting it. "Nobody and I repeat, NOBODY messes with me!" I roared, as my whole body glowed a weird purple. I attacked with a beam, as he blocked it with his shield. He tried to reflect it but I blocked his attack and sent him flying backward off the edge. "You think you're in control? When your powers are done with you, they'll kill you. Just you wait." The elf said, just as I flung him off. He fell off, just as his bird caught him and went outside the portal.
"Impressive. Most impressive, 'wizard'. "A voice said, as a clapping sound was heard. "Who are you?" I asked my voice normal as ever. However, my hood was still on, disguising myself from everyone.
"I am Max Griffin, and I'll be your escort to Cielis." He said, just as Emily came out, her mother tied up with her. "LET THEM GO!" I yelled, glowing purple again. "You heard 'em. Let them go." Max stated.
The world was a pitch white for me. I couldn't see anything. What was happening outside my world of vision? I couldn't see anything, yet I could see everything. I was alive, but I don't understand how and where. Where am I?
I awoke, the black abyss emptied from my eyes, clearing up around my eyes. I aked, "Where am I?" "Cielis, Andrew, now sleep." Emily said, just as I fell asleep.
