Chapter 2.
We now find the same place Cub got sucked into, but this time, something was different, Pop wasn't heard talking on the phone. Cub, out of curiosity, walked into the house, where Pop originally was in. When he walked into the kitchen, he didn't see Pop making his lunch, like he was originally doing. In fact, none of the food that he had were even on the counters. Since Pop wasn't in the kitchen, Cub decided to check the living room. He wasn't in there, either. Next, Cub checked the bathroom, and he wasn't in there. He went into the bedroom and saw a note on the bed. Since he couldn't read, considering the fact Cub is only a baby, he just put it under his beanie hat.
After thirty minutes of not finding Pop, Cub started to give up, whimper, and walked outside. All the sudden, not knowing, he bumped into Lifty and Shifty. Instead of stealing, like they originally do, they were apologizing to Cub for bumping into him like some crazy person. "Where's your father?" Lifty asked the poor, fatherless Cub. "We better take him to Lumpy. He'll know what to do." Shifty told him as they were taking Cub and walking. 'That was strange' Cub thought (you may be thinking that Cub is only a baby and doesn't really know everyone else that well. in this story, he knows the tree friends a little bit). Normally, Lifty and Shifty would be stealing some, or a lot, of money and leave, but ever since Cub has teleported from his original world, the two raccoons have been nice to him.
"Lumpy!" Lifty hollered for him as he was knocking on the door and fixing his hat for some odd reason. As Lumpy opened the door, he says, "Lifty, there is no need to fix your hat. Shifty, what are you doing with a baby in your hand?" "We found him in the middle of the road and now, we're trying to find his father. Do you think you could lend us a hand with one of your inventions and help find this baby's father?" the hatless raccoon asked. Cub thought, 'Wait, isn't the small one with the glasses the smart one?' Normally, everyone knows that Shifty is the one that wears a fedora hat, but in this world, Lifty, apparently, claims to wear the hat. As Lumpy gave Lifty his "father tracking device," he told the two "Make sure you give it back as soon as you find the baby's father." "We will," Shifty told him as they left.
When the three were walking, Cub heard Cuddles say to Giggles in a rude manner after she bumped into him, "Watch where you're going, why don't you?" "Sorry for trying to keep clean from a yellow, unbright, snobby rabbit, like you always are!" Giggles told him. He also saw Flaky being very social to everyone, even Lammy. Lammy, normally, is very friendly and has Mr. Pickels either in her hand or on her shoulder, but this time, the pickle was actually wearing a top hat, has stick arms and legs, and has the French looking moustache and Lammy is the one being very shy towards Flaky. Instead of even trying to kill Flaky, Mr. Pickels jsut took off his top-hat in a greetings way. Cub asked himself about Flaky, 'Isn't she the very scared one?' Something was not right about this town, and Cub knows that for sure.
Lifty turned on the "father tracking device" that Lumpy lended them earlier and told Shifty, "Okay, who's goona watch the baby and who's gonna find the father?" "I'll watch the baby since I'm the older brother, here. We'll be in the park if you're gonna look for us later." Shifty told him as he and Cub left. Lifty, then, uses the device and turnd the knob to the shape figure of a bear and says, "This will be a piece of cake."
As Shifty and Cub were walking into the park, they ran into Sniffles, who now doesn't have the Pac-Man shaped pupils like everyone else does. Well, almost everone. In fact, his eyes looked a lot like Lumpy's. Sniffles asked Shifty in a weird way, "What do you call a cube with holes?" "That doesn't even make sense, Sniffles." Shifty told him. "You got it wrong! The answer was CHEESE! Get it right next time" 'How can the smart one become stupid in three seconds?' Cub thought. "This must be some messed up town!" Sniffles exclaimed and ran away flailing his arms like some crazy person would do. As we hear Cub's tummy rumbling, Shifty asks Cub, "Are you hungry? We can go to Long John Russell's if you like. How about that?" Cub nods in agreement, knowing that was a very good and only restaraunt he will eat out at.
We now go to Lifty, who was using Lumpy's "father tracking device" to find Pop, who was supposedly in the house, making him and Cub lunch. As the device makes a beeping noise, Lifty says in excitement, "Yes! I knew I'd find the father!" Unfortunately, it was not Pop, but it was a bear. We see a green bear with a beret hat on and blood stains on his army jacket, staring at Lifty in a threatening way. "Fliqpy! W-w-what are you doing here?!" Lifty asked in a frightened way as he just stood there staring at the veteran bear with yellowish-green irises and sharp teeth. "Yes, you can obviously tell, you fool. Now, are you ready to experience what pain feels like for the tenth time?" Fliqpy asked. As the green veteran bear got his bowie knife out and getting closer to Lifty, Lifty backed into a corner, meaning that there is no escape for him. He, bravely, tried to use the tracking device that Lumpy lended him as a weapon for self-defense, but Fliqpy, already knowing what Lifty was about to do, took the device and knocked him in the head with it and stabbed him in the neck with his bowie knife. Knowing now, Lifty was dead.
