"Spencer...I don't know anything about her" Jason was exasperated with her non-stop line of questioning.

"So someone rents from you and you don't look into them?"

"Look...she filled out the application, good credit, good references. That's all I care about." Spencer rolled her eyes.

"Well can you see if you can get to know her? Find out what she's here for?"

"Why do you care so much? Honestly...how can you be so obsessed with someone you don't even know?"

"I just am. Can't you do this for me?" Spencer almost begged.

"No. I'm not harrassing a new tenant because you've decided she's on your radar. Move on Spence." Jason got into his car and drove away. Spencer threw her hands up in the air. Why was no one in this town wary of anyone?

"So this girl knows Holbrook?" Emily asked. Spencer nodded.

"I heard her leaving a message."

"But...I thought we came to the decision that he wasn't helping Alison?" Hanna asked.

"I know...but it's just weird. She's just showing up now? He's been here for how long?" Hanna just shrugged.

"Spence...I get where you're coming from. But I feel like we need to not worry about her until we know for sure. I mean...there are SO many other things we need to worry about." Aria finally said.

"Guys...I don't know. I just got this feeling when I saw her."

"Spence...we all have our guards up. We suspect every single person we come across. But let's not get crazy. We'll keep an eye out and if anything seems suspicious...then we start digging." Emily suggested.

"yeah...yeah...you're right." Spencer sat back. She knew Emily was right...but she couldn't fight the gut feeling she had that something big was coming their way.

"I need to see Detective Tanner." Colette stood at the front counter of the Rosewood Police Department.

"What for?" The officer asked.

"I'd really just rather speak with her. It's a sensitive matter." Colette wasn't about to let her business get all over Rosewood before she had a chance to unpack a box. She knew how small towns were.

"I need to give her a reason to speak with you."

"Seriously? I'm telling you I need to speak with Detective Linda Tanner on a sensitive issue and you want to give me a hard time? You have like 4 murder investigations open right now. What is wrong with you? Do you really think I want to talk about this out in the open? It's not any of your business."

"Ma'am-" Detective Tanner walked up.

"It's okay." She put her hand on his shoulder. "I'll take it from here." She looked Colette up and down. "Come with me". Colette nodded and followed her into a back interview room. "So...what is so important you had to get so rude with my officer out front?" Colette sat down.

"You made a mistake. Gabe didn't do anything wrong with the Alison Dilaurentis investigation" Tanner raised her eyebrows.

"Slow down. How do you know Detective Holbrook and what makes you so sure?"

"Gabe and I grew up together. I've known him my whole life. I know him. And I know that as a person, he would never ruin an investigation. But I know for a fact he wasn't helping Alison Diluarentis."

"For a fact?"

"He wasn't helping her. He was helping me." Tanner leaned back in her chair.

"How so?"

"I never knew my mother growing up. For a really long time my father told me that she was dead. When I got older he told me the truth, or well, part of the truth I'm assuming. I was the product of an affair. My mother didn't want to lose her husband or the family she already had- so she let me father take me. I never heard from her, No cards, no phone calls, it was like I didn't exist to her. Later on- I found out that I was born in Rosewood. I needed to find my mother. I really want to know her and make peace with what happened. Gabe was helping me find my family. I found out that I have sisters. Growing up, I always wanted a big family. And now I have the chance. Even if my mother and I don't end up getting past what happened, I want a relationship with my sister. I needed help finding her. That's why he was sneaking around and doing DNA testing and all sorts of other things that made him look shady. His whole life he wanted this job. I can't let him loose it because of me."

"Well...he's out on suspension. We haven't fired him...yet. If you can get me some proof, it might help his case." Colette nodded. She pulled a folder out of her bag and handed it to Tanner. She flipped it open and her eyes widened slightly.

"Well...if this person is your sister. Let me give you a suggestion. Mail her the letter and run."

"Excuse me?" Colette was slightly shocked.

"I'm surprised that Gabriel wouldn't have told you that himself. Nothing but trouble comes to that girl."
