*This chapter contains trigger warning for self harm and the one swear word*

The school bell rang to symbolise that the day had ended but unfortunately Kurt's day was far from over, he has rehearsals with the New Directions. Sectionals were fast approaching and Mr Schue was adamant that they were not ready so the Glee club was forced to stay after school. Kurt just wanted to go home and curl up in a tiny ball and forget that today even happened, Karofsky and his merry men were worse than they have ever been and they have even come up with a new name for him "Butt Boy" Why can't they just leave me alone? Kurt thought to himself.

The New Direction all made their way into the Choir Room and sat down in their seats. Finn sat flirting with Rachel, Santana and Brittany gossiping about Quinn while she gave them the evil eye. They all had their friendship groups and of course Kurt wasn't part of them, so he sat there on his own hoping that Mr Schue would walk in soon.

Not long after the thought left Kurt's mind in walked Mr Schue with a smug smile on his face holding up a sheet of paper.

"Well New Directions you will never guess what I have in my hand... Our competition for Sectionals" Mr Schue announced to the group.

Rachel instantly sat up straight and turned to smile at Finn, a confident look on her face. Mr Schue started to read from the list.

"The over 60's group the Hipsters..." Why are the even allowed to compete? They must know that they aren't going to win Kurt thought.

"The Harmonies and finally... The Dalton Academy Warblers"

Kurt was in a world of his own so he didn't hear Rachel say his name but she got his attention by waving her hands in his face.

"What Rachel?" Kurt snapped, Rachel looked shocked

"Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Kurt? Geez you don't have to shout at me..."

"Sorry Rachel, I was in a world of my own... What do you want?" He replied in a softer voice.

"I was going say that I need to talk to you after rehearsals... it's about our competition for sectionals"

Kurt looked puzzled, what would Rachel want to speak to him about that involved their competition for Sectionals?

"Meet me in the auditorium after Glee Club" Rachel whispered, Kurt just nodded

Time seemed to go by at a painful speed; Mr Schue had made them go over the songs about a hundred times, so much so that the kids were starting to lose their temper with the teacher. Time seemed to go even slower to Kurt because he had spent the last hour wracking his brains wondering with Rachel so urgently wanted to talk to him about.

"Mr Schue don't you think we have practised enough, if you make us go through the performance one more time I will quit Glee Club... I'm serious Mr Schue" Puck suddenly said in an annoyed voice.

"Okay guys... Puck may be right; I think we have gone through the set list enough. You are free to go"

A sign of relief could be heard throughout the Choir Room, they all gathered up their stuff and made their way out of the room. Kurt picked up his satchel and said goodbye to Mr Schue as he left. Curiosity took over his body as he made his way to the auditorium to meet Rachel.

As Kurt entered he saw Rachel sitting on the stage with her legs dangling over the edge. The door to the auditorium banged shut behind him, this made her look up.

"Finally, what took you so long?" Kurt didn't understand why she would say this, she could of only been waiting 2 minutes because he left when she left or there about. All he could do was apologise.

"Well you're here now so I can get on with what I want to talk to you about... Well it's more of a favour actually..." Kurt just looked at her to say continue.

"I want... the New Directions want you to go and spy on the Warblers" He looked at her with wide eyes, shocked that she would even come up with such a thing.

"Well I can't go can I? It's an all boys school and you would just blend in. I mean Finn and Puck would look out of place, you are the only one that won't look suspicious" Rachel said quickly.

"I don't understand... why do you want me to spy of the Warblers?"

Rachel sighed and said

"I've heard people say that the Warblers are talented and I just want to know if they are more talented than us...Please Kurt. I really want us to win this year" Kurt couldn't help but feel sorry for her because like Rachel he sort of wanted to win as well.

"Okay"

"Okay? You will go?" Rachel said excitedly

"Yes Rachel I will go" Rachel unexpectedly hugged Kurt and repeated "Thank you" over and over again.

Well it looks like I'm going to Dalton Academy tomorrow then Kurt thought.

Kurt lay awake, his mind too busy worrying if he will get caught tomorrow at Dalton Academy but mostly of the pain Karofsky puts him through day in day out. When he finally did manage to fall asleep his dreams were filled with nightmares, nightmares about Karofsky hurting him so badly that he couldn't move. Kurt wakes up shaking, his pillow wet from the tears that fell from his eyes. I just want all this pain to go away Kurt says to himself, if only there was a way to make it stop. Kurt then had a thought about what he had seen earlier that night on his tumblr dashboard, about how cutting into your skin makes all the pain leave your body, it flows out through the blood. He then remembers that his dad bought him some new razors that day, Perfect Kurt thinks.

The still shaking boy gets out of bed and makes his way into the bathroom and opens his cabinet. There staring him in the face like a beacon is the razors. Quickly Kurt grabs them and goes and sits on the toilet seat, breathing heavily as he opens the packet. Tears begin to blur his vision as he puts one of them to his wrist. With one last deep breath Kurt cuts into his porcelain skin. Blood instantly begins to run from his wrist onto the pristine white tiled floor, surprisingly Kurt feels no pain; it's more like a release. They were right this does feel better is the thought that goes through his head. It really was like the pain was leaving his body just as fast as the blood was.

Kurt suddenly realises what he has done, he wipes his eyes and runs over to the sink and washes away the blood. Panic takes over him when he sees the pool of red that had formed on the floor.

"Shit" Kurt says to himself.

Frantically Kurt searches the bathroom for something to mop up the blood with, luckily there was an old towel hanging on the radiator, he could just use that and hide the evidence in the morning. The blood was still flowing from his wrist; Kurt looks in the cupboard next to the sink and breathes a sigh of relief, he has a first aid kit so Kurt starts to clean his cut and places a bandage around his wounded wrist.

Before Kurt leaves the bathroom he looks at his reflection in the mirror and shakes his head wondering what has become of him? He never thought he would class himself as a cutter but now he could see where they are coming from when they say it helps them because it really does. And in that moment Kurt thought to himself that maybe the Jocks are right... he does deserve pain.

Kurt walks back into his bedroom and throws himself on the bed, wincing as the covers touch his tender wrist but it actually feels nice, physical pain is what Kurt needs. Maybe I have found my release; maybe hurting myself is what I need to make me forget, make me feel better is the last thought in Kurt's mind before he lets his eyes close and sleep takes over.

He is rudely awoken by the sound of his alarm going off, with an annoyed groan Kurt stretches over to his nightstand to switch it off. Why do alarms have to sound so annoying and feel like there is a drill going off in your head?

Kurt forces himself out of bed wishing he could stay in longer, his whole body aching but the thing that hurts the most is his wrist and he is reminded off the night before. Blood had found its way through the bandage in places so Kurt made a note to change it before he leaves the house, nothing could look out of place, especially today. Today is the day that Kurt pays a visit to Dalton Academy.

The outfit that Kurt had picked out the night before was draped over the armchair that is positioned in the corner of his bedroom. Kurt had looked up what the Dalton uniform looked like online and tried his best to match it so he wouldn't stand out. He decided to go with black trousers, a white shirt with a red tie and dress shoes that he kept for special occasions.

When Kurt was happy with the way that he looked he left his bedroom and made his way down stairs, everybody had already left so no one would question him on why he was dressed the way he was. He grabbed a bottle of water out of the refrigerator and walked out of the front door locking it behind him. Kurt pulls out the slip of paper that was in his pocket and types in the Dalton Academy address into his Sat Nav and starts his engine, nerves already making him feel sick and he wasn't even there yet.

The drive to Westerville was a long one, Kurt thought about turning the car around a number of times but he told Rachel that he would go and Kurt never went back on his word. So that is why he is here staring up at the grand building that is Dalton Academy, he couldn't help but wish that he went to a school like Dalton...it looked peaceful and didn't have Karofsky as a student.

"Well here goes nothing" Kurt says to himself as he steps out of his car and starts to walk reluctantly to the entrance doors.

The elegance of the Dalton academy's corridors takes Kurt's breath away; it looks like somewhere the Queen of England would live not a school. The marble floor was so perfect that it glistened in the sunlight that shone through the windows, the golden drapes that hung from the ceiling made Kurt feel like he was in a dream, he had pinch himself to make sure that it was real.

As Kurt walked further down the corridor he came to a delicate staircase, he was so mesmerised by it that he didn't hear the bell ring to tell the students that class was over. But he was soon brought out of his trance by a stampede of boys making their way down the beautiful staircase. Why is everyone in such a rush?

Kurt sees a boy with gelled hair walk past him and he decides to ask him what's going on.

"Excuse me" Kurt says as he touches the boys arm.

The boy turns round and Kurt is met by what can only be described as perfection, he is gorgeous. Kurt cannot help but melt into the hazel of his eyes; a kind smile is present of the gorgeous students face.

After what felt like 5 minutes at staring Kurt finally spoke.

"Errm can I ask you a question? I'm new here" he lied.

"My name is Blaine" the handsome student replies with a smile Oh my god even his voice is gorgeous

"Kurt" he replies shaking his hand His hands are so soft, is there nothing bad about him?

"So what exactly is going on?" Kurt asks

"The Warblers, every now and then they throw impromptu performances in the senior commons, tends to shut the school down for a while" Blaine answers

"Wait so the Glee club here is kinda cool...?"

Blaine smiles and in a replies in a proud voice

"The Warblers are like rock stars"

Kurt could only be shocked by this because at Mckinley it was the complete opposite, the students saw then as being worse than vermin. Kurt couldn't help but wish that he could be part of a Glee club that was thought of so highly. Kurt began to go into a dream of hoping and wishing that his life at Mckinley could be so much better. Blaine spoke again which brought him out of it.

"Come on, I know a short cut" he said as he took hold of Kurt's hand leading him down a long grand corridor. His body began to heat up, sort of like the feeling you get when you fall in love but he can't love someone he's just met can he? And in that moment Kurt never wanted the Dalton boy to let go of his hand.

But of course all good things have to come to an end; Blaine pushes open the door to what has to be the senior commons. Boys in the Dalton uniform were dotted all over the room, so these must be the Warblers...? He thinks.

"I stick out like a sore thumb.." Kurt was meant to say to himself but it came out a little load.

Blaine only laughs and reaches out to straighten the collar on Kurt's coat and in a knowing voice says

"Well next time don't forget your jacket new kind, you'll fit right in" With one last touch of Kurt's arm he turns away.

"Now if you'll excuse me" he says

Oh so Blaine is one of the warblers? Could thing place get any better?

Then he began to sing while the others harmonised and Kurt was shocked because he never knew The Warblers were acapella.

You think I'm pretty
Without any makeup on
You think I'm funny
When I tell the punch line wrong
I know you get me
So I let my walls come down, down

Before you met me
I was alright but things
Were kinda heavy
You brought me to life
Now every February
You'll be my Valentine, Valentine

Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance, until we die
You and I, will be young forever

Blaine suddenly looks up at Kurt who cannot take his eyes off The Warblers.

Wait is he singing this to me? With a smile Blaine points Kurt and sings the next line of the song.
You make me feel
Like I'm livin' a
Teenage dream
The way you turn me on
I can't sleep
Let's run away and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

The warm feeling made its way back into his body and his cheeks began to heat up. Blaine was so gorgeous and perfect that Kurt couldn't look away; it was like he was transfixed by his beauty.

We drove to Cali
And got drunk on the beach
Got a motel and
Built a fort out of sheets
I finally found you
My missing puzzle piece
I'm complete

Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance, until we die
You and I, will be young forever

You make me feel
Like I'm livin' a
Teenage dream
The way you turn me on
I can't sleep
Let's run away and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

I'mma get your heart racing
In my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight
Let you put your hands on me
In my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight

Yoooouuu
You make me feel
Like I'm livin' a
Teenage dream
The way you turn me on
I can't sleep
Let's run away and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back
No

My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance and
Don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

I'mma get your heart racing
In my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight
Let you put your hands on me
In my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight

Kurt was so amazed by their talent that he clapped so hard that his hands hurt. Blaine smiled at him and began talking to an Asian boy but his eyes never leaving Kurt's.

Now Kurt believed in love stories like Romeo and Juliet that love at first sight really did exist because Kurt knew that he was in love, he was in love with Blaine.
