alrighty instead of Tierno Trevor and Shauna with calem/serena in the forest I have Derek!
Derek's appearance:blue hair with a beanie hat, green eyes, content expression, wearing a black shirt with a grey logo of a circle(like that on paint) with a smaller circle in it, a jacket that looks like that of Ash's form Kanto, navy sweat pants, and purple green and blue sneakers
"Hey Katerina!" calls Sycamore.
Katerina was about to leave when she turned her head.
"Huh?" wonders Katerina.
"The boy who loves adventures and is currently here is named Ash! He may want you to travel with him for a bit." says Sycamore.
"Ash? Whos Ash?" wonders Katerina.
"A long time friend of Serenas! Though some are doubtful!" says Sycamore.
"Oh?" wonders Katerina.
"Welp you better get going if you wanna beat your rival!" says Sycamore.
"Already on my way!" smiles Katerina.
Katerina puts Charmander back in its poke ball and takes off waving goodbye to professor Sycamore.
"Alright! I get to have pokemon of my own!" says Katerina happily then stops suddenly, "Damn it! I dont know the layout of Kalos!"
Katerina looked to her right then left.
"Which way do i go? I need someone who knows the layout of this region!" says Katerina falling to her knees in despair.
"You ok? You look lost and confused!" says a voice.
"Uh huh...as a Kalos citizen I should know the layout of the region but I dont...im so ashamed!" says Katerina.
"Maybe i can help!" says the voice again.
"Huh?" wonders katerina then looks up, "You do? Errrr...can?"
"Come on! the start of a journey doesnt need sorrow when you just got your pokemon!" says the boy holding out his hand.
"Wh...who are you?" wonders Katerina.
"The names Derek! Where are you headed?" says Derek.
"Do you know where i can train?" wonders Katerina.
"First off you need to go to a shop to make sure your pokemon are healthy by buying potions!" says Derek.
"Isnt that what pokecenters are for?" wonders Katerina.
"Well sure but you need to get potions for when you arent near a pokecenter!" says Derek.
"Oh...right...always and forever go to a shop to gather potions and other things we need!" says Katerina.
"Follow me! I will show you where to go!" says Derek. Derek takes Katerina back to viniville town.
"Hey! I need to train!" says Katerina.
"Its better to start from your home town because you lose your way if you follow your feet! haha!" says Derek.
"Oh haha!" says Katerina sarcastically.
once at viniville town, Katerina's house(like Serena's but the mom has dark pink hair and blue eyes! I guess?)...
"Alright smarty! Where is the pokemart?" wonders Katerina.
"Shut up! You want help or not!?" says Derek.

"Just follow me!" says Derek taking Katerina's hand.
"Its nice of you to help me but shouldnt i do it on my own?" wonders Katerina.
"Normally yes but you look like you just moved here!" says Derek.
"What of it?" wonders Katerina.
"You need people who know their way around!" says Derek.
"Focuz on what's infront of you not me!" says Katerina annoyed.
Derek looks back at Katerina.
"Alright! Alright! You need travel buddies one of these days!" huffs Derek.
they head through the short route 1~viniville pathway to aquacorde town ending up in route 2~advance trail.
Katerina and Derek go through what little grass there is and a pidgey comes outta nowhere.
"Oh...yay..." sighs Katerina.
"Pidgeys are weak! you'll be fine!" says Derek.
"Im not wanting the pidgey idiot!" says Katerina.
"Then fight it!" says Derek.
"Alright...here i go!" says Katerina.
"You went from whiney to fidgety in minutes...get a grip and battle it!" says Derek watching the embarrassment.
"No duh!" says Katerina.
Pidgey wants to verse Katerina.
"Come on out charmander!" says Katerina sending the pokemon out.
"Wait...wait...wait...shouldnt you have a Kalos starter!?" wonders Derek surprised.
"I was gonna but Kanto pokemon are so energetic!" says Katerina.
"I see." says Derek annoyed.
"Char!" says Charmander.
"Alright! Charmander use scratch on pidgey!" says Katerina.
"CHAR!" yells Charmander happily and scratches pidgey.
pidgeys hp goes down somewhat still green. pidgey uses tackle on Charmander. Charmander's hp goes down somewhat still green.
"Charmander use scratch one more time!" says katerina. "Char!" says Charmander and scratches pidgey again.
Pidgey's hp goes down half putting it on red.
"Alright!" cheers Katerina.
"Focus on the battle Kanto lover!" says Derek. "I am!" says Katerina.
Pidgey uses tackle on Charmander. Charmander's hp went down to yellow.
"Char! Charmander!" says Charmander.
"Relax Charmander! Its only our first fight! Now use scratch and get it overwith!" says Katerina.
Charmander uses scratch on pidgey and it faints.
"Finally!" says katerina sighing in relief.
Charmander's exp goes up 21 points.
"Ive never heard of a kalos resident having a Kanto pokemon as a starter!" says Derek.
"Shut up already! Charmander is an awesome dino...lizard...whatever pokemon!" says Katerina.
"Char! Charmander!" says Charmander.
Katerina giggles putting Charmander back in its pokeball. Katerina runs forward then to her right to find another patch of grass.
"Really? Thats a big patch of grass well not that big but still!" says Katerina staring annoyed.
"Wait for me!" calls Derek.
Katerina runs into the patch of grass and behold! another pidgey appears. booo!
"wow...another pidgey...lame!" says Katerina.
Derek catches up to Katerina.
"Beggars cant be choosers!" huffs Derek.
Katerina glares at Derek.
pidgey wants to battle katerina.
"Charmander use scratch on pidgey!" says Katerina.
"Char!" says Charmander and scratches Pidgey.
Pidgey's hp goes down to yellow.
"Awesome!" says Katerina.
Pidgey uses tackle. Charmanders hp went down to a little above yellow.
"Charmander! Char!" says Charmander unamused.
"Im with you! It is annoying and aggravating but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!" says Katerina.
"Charmander!" nods Charmander.
"Lets get this over with! Charmander uses scratch!" says Katerina.
Charmander scratches Pidgey. Pidgey's hp goes to a little over yellow.
"Seriously...why cant you learn fire moves yet?" wonders Katerina.
Charmander shrugged.
"Its alright...its just our second battle we should be able to handle it!" says Katerina.
Without their knowing Pidgey used sand attack.
Charmander's attack fell.
"Blech! Sand in the mouth...disgusting!" says Katerina spitting out the sand.
derek snickers.
"Grrrrr! Charmander scratch once more!" says Katerina.
Charmander scratches Pidgey. Pidgey's hp goes down to red. Pidgey ran away.
"Ok...we encountered a lvl 3 pidgey and lvl 5 pidgey...where are all the other pokemon?" wonders Katerina.
"Why dont I show you how to catch a pokemon! You are already getting angered at pokemon that show up!" says Derek half laughing.
"I can do it myself!" says Katerina.
"This is your first time though." says Derek.
"Fine...but i think i know how too!" says Katerina.
"Ok! Try to catch a pokemon if you cant i will gladly show you!" says Derek.
"Uh huh!" ayes katerina happy to unamused, "as if that'll happen." and puts charmander in its pokeball.
