Show and Tell: Ulquiorra's hero faces off against Orihime's dream. It can only end in tears... and boo-boos.
"Woman, let go of my hand." Five year old Ulquiorra complained, although he did nothing to shirl his hand out of the four year old, Orihime's grip. The auburn haired girl flashed him a big smile.
"Have you thought about what you want to do for show and tell today?" The two preschoolers walked hand in hand as they made their way from the kiddie drop off to their class line. Renji, Nel and Tatsuki were already standing there along with old man Yamamoto.
Nodding, Ulquiorra reached into his backpack and pulled out a Batman action figure.
"My father bought this for me last year for my birthday." He explained and very gently handed the doll over to a curious Orihime.
"What did you bring?" Ulquiorra asked when Orihime gave him back his Batman. As the rest of their class arrived and filed into the line, Orihime showed him her own project – a piece of paper with a colored crayon drawing.
"What's is it?" He asked as the line started moving towards their classroom. Orihime huffed.
"It's a prince rescuing a princess from a dragon. Isn't it pretty?" Ulquirra wrinkled his nose at the picture.
"I like Batman better." He announced as they arrived to the their daycare room.
"But I worked really hard on this." The four year old pouted.
"I like princesses." She added as theyhung up their coats in their cubby-holes.
"So what? Just because you like it, won't change my mind. Batman is way cooler." Orihime watched in apprehension as Ulquiorra climbed up the cubby-holes and reached the art shelf.
"Be careful 'Quiorra." She warned as he spun around on the shelf and dropped to hang by his knees upside down.
"See? I'm a bat." Orihime gaped at him for a moment before the shelf gave way and Ulquiorra came crashing down on top of his friend.
… Twelve minutes later both of them sat in the nurse's office with matching bruises on their foreheads. Orihime had tears in her eyes. Ulquiorra wanted to distract her. Scooting closer to her, he asked to see her drawing and she wordlessly gave it to him.
"To be honest I like the dragon the most," He confessed. His words had the opposite effect as she seemed to become more sad.
"I don't want to be the princess if you aren't the prince," She whispered. Ulquiorra took her hand and told her seriously,
"Dragons like princesses too; but Batman only likes Catwoman," and then he bit her.
