Chapter 2: I Hate Disappearing Acts
"MORNING MY FRIENDS!"
"Rejected" Ichigo deadpanned as he mercilessly punched the boy in the gut. Keigo let out a pathetic breath before falling into a pile of hurt on the ground as Emily came out from behind her taller best friend and stepped over the boy and into the classroom.
"Morning Keigo." the girl called only to immediately duck.
"Hi Emy-chan!" squealed Chizuru trying to snatch said girl into her arms.
"Still straight" Emily sighed as she rolled away from the girls grip, Chizuru began to cry, but quickly gave up as she caught sight of Orihime entering the classroom. Emily wondered if that girl would ever be ok as she took her seat behind Ichigo.
"Thank god, it's the last day of school. This week has been TOO long." the brunette haired teen whined her head hitting the desk.
"Yeah. It has been a little long." Ichigo commented still scowling.
"A little? I feel as if it's been a year!" She shouted as beginning to hit her head on the defenseless desk, the boy in front of her suddenly place his hand on the mass of brown locks, hair pins and pony tail that was her head. "Here let me help you with that" he let out then proceeded to push the girls head against the desk.
"Ahh! Uncle Uncle! I won't do it again I Promise!" Emily shouted waving her hands helplessly in the air. This caused the orange haired teen to stop and sit back in his chair with a satisfied smirk on his face.
"What the hell Ichigo! That hurt!" Emily whined with tears in her eyes as she rubbed her head.
"It's no different then when you do it." Ichigo stated as he did the cross arm rolling eyes combo. "I was just helping you cause more brain damage." the boy shrugged.
"You could have just told me to stop..." the girl mumbled rubbing her forehead. "So was the truck crashing into your house the reason you hung up on me last night? I barley was able to finish my math worksheet after you abandoned me."
"Mmm, no..." Ichigo answered his light brown eyes spacing out.
"Ichigo?"
No response
"Ichigo?" Emily frowned snapping her fingers in front of the boys face.
Nothing
"Ichigo snap out of- Ow!"
She had reached over to shake the ginger haired boy out of his stupor only to receive a static like shock. And Suddenly...
She couldn't move
She couldn't breath
It was as if the world froze around her leaving her floating in darkness. Everything was spinning fast and all Emily wanted was it to stop.
Something was coming out of her.
Turn back, you don't want this
She closes her eyes and the black fades away, the classroom comes back in view and she can breath.
She is free and her brown orbs suddenly looking exhausted peer at the head of orange in front of her. Ichigo was talking to Chad and company.
When had they surrounded her friends desk? Did she black out?
Emily looked down at her old desk as she felt a cold sweat rise and drench her skin, her hands shaking.
Whatever had just happened left her shaken.
"Oh, so you're Kurosaki-kun?" said the sickly sweet voice snapping the girl from her thoughts, her eyes no longer tired and her cold sweat gone.
The boy turned around. Confusion on his face as his usually neutral chocolate gaze stared at the girl standing before him. Pale skin, dark hair, violet eyes. "My name is Kuchiki. I will be sitting next to you." said Rukia Kuchiki.
Emily stared between the two. Just what kind of interaction was this?
"YOU!?" Ichigo suddenly shouted now on his feet pointing at the girl.
The brunette haired girl stuck in between the interaction flinched and rubbed her now aching head.
"Ichigo, stop yelling." Emily let out glaring at the standing boy. "have you met Rukia already or something?"
"Yeah how do you know Kuchiki-chan?" Keigo chimed in afterwards.
"Oh no, this is our first meeting. Jane-chan." Rukia answered completely ignoring the now despairing Keigo.
Said girl nodded.
"Thought so." the teen began. "Ichigo must have met you in a dream then, a dream foretelling his future wife. Do remember to invite me to the wedding." The girl joked a playful smile on her face.
"You shut your mouth." Ichigo deadpanned lightly flicking the girls forehead.
"Owwie"
Rukia smiled at the two before grabbing the ginger haired boys arm.
"I'll be borrowing Kurosaki-kun if that's ok Jane-chan." the dark haired girl stated not even waiting for a response as she dragged the boy out of class.
Emily stared after the two.
"Oh... ok" she frowned to herself before looking down at the surface of her desk.
"That was weird..." she said with a shake of her head before grabbing the books necessary for her next period.
