April's POV

We all went looking around for Donnie. I clutched his mask tightly as if it was the only thing that could protect me from the evil energy I had sensed inside my friend, Like it was the only thing that could keep me safe.

We all split up to look for Donnie. Raph with Casey, Leo with Mikey, And I alone.

I spent for what seamed like hours looking for what seamed to be my rouge friend. I thought maybe the others found him already, but I find him sitting, his legs tucked by his chin. He sat straight and his posture fine when I saw his silhouette. When I took a half step closer to my friend, he slightly tilted his head just enough so I could see half of his stern, cold, icy blue eyes. His glare shook me. It was hard, and stern. He had never looked at me like that, no other the same to any other living thing. He always wears a calming expression, even when not meaning to express such emotion.

"What do YOU want?!" he said as he bared his teeth.

I didn't feel intimidated by his remark.

"I just wanted to see you, make sure you were okay." he tensed and looked down at the pavement below.

I walked over to him. I sat down by my sick friend. I put my hand on his cold stiff shoulder. he tensed at the feel of my warm hand, but then he eased. his stern posture tuned to a slouch, and his eyes eased into the familiar red-hazel hue. He turned his usual light olive shade. I handed him his mask which I didn't let go of for the longest time, it was warm with the head of my grasp. I turned his head towards me and put it on him. I leaned and kissed him lightly on his cheek and helped my weak friend up. He blushed, but not at his usual brightness. We walked silently the whole time home, I didn't have the words, or the courage, to ask him anything at that moment in time. for I was terrified, that this might happen again, but more extreme then ever.
