My mom dropped me off at the town line. "Good luck!", she teased. I walked to the line - which was for some reason orange - and crossed it.
"Ha!"
My mom looked shocked.
"Well... stay there. I'll go get some supplies, and then I'll join you. I want to see what's in this town too."
She drove off. While I waited, I decided to explore the woods right nearby.
After a while, a car approached, but it wasn't my mom's. It was a different car, with two guys in it. I watched from the treeline. Just as they arrived, a weird gold light spread through the town. They made it in, but the back of their car was seared off. I backed further into the trees. They went into town, and I went back to the line to wait. My mom came back.
"Elle! What happened?"
"There was a light... a car... I don't think you'll be able to get in."
She tried, but with no luck. "Oh well. Let's go home."
I didn't want to, but I walked towards the car anyway. But... I couldn't leave.
"I - I can't get out."
"What?"
"Mom, just go", I said, pulling out my phone. "There's nothing more you can do here. I'll call you when it's fixed."
"Elle -"
"Mom, what good is standing there going to do? I'll call."
"Fine", she said, and drove away.
I turned around, and walked into Storybrooke. I truly was entering a mystery.
