Sorry guys for such a long wait! I apologize I'm not dead… yet! I have been extremely busy these past few weeks and I apologize. Also Lucy is extremely OOC.
Laxus was worried. His beloved, even if he didn't show it, Freed had left. Freed had left 3 days ago and Laxus was not sure when he would return, if he returned. Freed had said he needed a break to get some fresh air, the only problem Laxus saw was what if that break lasted forever? But it couldn't. Or at least Laxus didn't think so, Freed had left his prized sword at home, and Laxus was positive Freed wouldn't leave without his sword. Also everything Freed worked so hard to obtain was here, his job, his home, his books, Freed couldn't leave without also saying goodbye to Bixlow and Evergreen, his two best friends besides Laxus.
Laxus wasn't the only worried, he was lonely, and he needed someone to comfort him, someone who would help him feel better. When he thought about it… Lucy. It wasn't the best idea to bring a girl who might take this opportunity to get into his pants. After all her feelings weren't very hidden at all. But right now Laxus needed the comfort, the love of his life was gone, maybe to never return again. Laxus picked up his cell phone dialing the blonde's number.
"Hello?" Lucy's voice was on the other end.
"Hi Lucy," Laxus growled, maybe she wasn't the best choice to call.
"So do you finally want to confess your feelings to me?" Lucy asked cheerily, "Did you finally get rid of Freed-"
"No Lucy, Freed's gone, and I wanted to see if you could come over." Laxus replied.
"Oh really? Of course would love to!" Lucy almost yelled into the phone.
Laxus was starting to regret calling Lucy. He should have called someone like Evergreen or Bixlow.
Lucy was just too hyper to provide any real comfort. It was too late now though now that Lucy was coming over. Shit, what had he gotten himself into? Shortly after he hung up he heard the doorbell ring. Opening I he saw Lucy. The blonde had too much makeup on and her hair was obviously dyed blonde. Laxus felt bad for that one boy who kept pining after her. Gratsu? Latsu? He couldn't remember his name after all. He had after all accidentally stolen her heart.
But, it was too late to do anything now. Lucy was already here standing in front of him. So he had to do something.
"Hi Lucy thanks for coming on such short notice." Laxus said in his deep voice.
"Anything for you Love," Lucy chirped brushing her hair behind her ear. Laxus cringed inside.
"Of course, Freed's on a vacation so-" Laxus started but didn't get to be cut off by Lucy.
"Cut the crap Laxus, Freed left you didn't he?" Lucy said in a stern, demanding tone.
"No he went on vacation, besides its all my fault anyway." Laxus sighed wishing he hadn't called Lucy in the first place.
"If that's what you think, fine, but I think you need a new partner?" Lucy said.
"Fine." Laxus said as he walked forwards. But he ended up tripping… onto Lucy. Lucy smirked up at him while he frowned, then he realized why. He could hear the key jiggling around in the lock.
'Shit, shit, shit' Laxus thought as the doorknob turned and Freed walked in.
'There's no way this could get any worse!' Laxus thought, but then it did get worse. Much, much worse.
"Hello Freed! How was your trip?" Lucy asked perkily as if she had just won something exciting.
"Laxus…?" Freed asked as he walked in the apartment, "What's going on here?" Laxus couldn't find the courage to speak to Freed when he heard his desperate voice.
"I guess you really don't want me then," Freed said tearfully as he picked his bags up off of the floor. "I'll come by sometime soon to pick my other stuff up."
Laxus screamed internally. Here was Freed, his Freed about to walk away, there's no way he could let that happen.
"Freed, listen I'm very sorry about everything," Laxus said swallowing his pride, "This was just an accident, I just invited Lucy over so we could talk and I just tripped and fell on top of her."
Laxus hoped that Freed would understand and forgive him for the millionth time.
Once again I apologize about the long wait! I will hopefully have another chapter up by the end of the week. ~82 out!~
