Warnings same as before

It's quiet. So quiet… It's always quiet here

And dark. No lights, there were never lights... Nothing…

Cold... so cold…there's no warmth here…there never had been

I'm alone…again… as always…I'm always alone here…they never come to find me here…

Why have I been left alone again? Did I get left behind?

Or…did they leave me here to die…?

…This darkness…why is it still here…why can't I wake up? I thought I abandoned this place when I finally found happiness…why is it still here? If I could just wake up, maybe I wouldn't be so alone. Felix wouldn't leave me here. He helped me destroy this place…or at least I thought it was destroyed…

"Destroy? You can't just destroy a place like this, it'll just rebuild itself. But you could probably tell that just by looking around here huh"

I know that voice… it's that…thing…why is it here too. This is my dark place.

"I can tell. You've been here quite a few times now haven't you? I can practically smell the blood tainting this place…"

Shut up! What does that thing know…it's a monster…I just want to get out of here. I want to see my friends…how do I wake up…? I need to find Felix…and Russ…and…

"Friends? You call them all your friends?"

"You're a fool Ryan…get back to your damn 'friends' already. My master wants to see this all play out as much as I do…"

Ryan slowly started to wake at long last, breaking free from the dark dreams in his mind. He felt sluggish and unresponsive, but he could hardly blame himself for it. He must have smacked the ground fairly hard judging by the dull throbbing in his temple. And the dull aching stiffness told him he'd been unconscious for quite some time…He kept his eyes closed as he just listening to the world around him, trying to figure out where the hell he was. And figure out if there was anyone around, be it his friends or whatever the hell that things was…

He could hear a light wind whistling through the grass and trees around him. The swish of leaves seemed too loud to be that park beside the building, or anything he could think of nearby… The grass was slightly coarse against his face, the plastic mask having being pushed up his face partly in his landing. The grass made him feel itchy, but he ignored it and continued to listen to his own quiet breath… and someone groaning softly. Ryan cautiously opened his eyes a slither, worried that what he'll see would be something terrible again. He was lying in a small clearing, tall dark pine trees surrounded the area in a ring, casting long shadows from their needle covered branches. He could smell the promising scent of water on the chilly breeze that ruffled his hair. They must be near a lake or something. That was a good thing, right? The world was dark, casting black shadows across the ground as a full round moon hung in the sky, partly covered by thin grey clouds... Wait... it hadn't been night before. It hadn't even been close to a full moon either. And how the fuck did he get here!

Ryan glanced around and noticed a figure not too far from him. It was hunched over on the ground, swearing lightly to itself. He was about to call out to him... before he remembered. That... person, monster, whatever it was. It had done this. But... how? It was just a game. Games can't do this type of thing! But... if he had really been sent into the game somehow, does that mean the man's here too? The very idea made Ryan's voice catch in his throat. Another noise to his left. Ryan turned to see another shape on the grass just across from him. This time though, he could just make out a face.

"Scott? Is that you" He hissed cautiously, just in case he was wrong. The man lifted his head.

"Cry? Yeah, it's me... where the fuck are we?" Jund sat up slowly, rubbing his head slightly.

"I dunno...so...it really did happen then..." Ryan almost didn't want to say it. He sat up and steadied himself before he could fall back down again.

"You mean... that black smoke and the..." Scott trailed off. Ryan nodded.

"Ah fuck... Ryan?" A different voice sounded from the hunched over figure Ryan had first noticed.

"Felix!" Ryan gasped with relief and scrambled across the ground towards the Swede, not trusting his legs to be able to hold himself up yet. Ryan felt his foot accidentally connect with something.

"Hrg! Ow watch it asshole!" A deep voice sounded. It was that TJ guy.

"Sorry" Ryan muttered and continued on to greet his partner. Now that his eyes had adjusted, Ryan could make out more people in the clearing, some beginning to stand, others still unconscious. Ryan was the first to move though.

"Would someone care to explain what the fuck is going on!" Ian from Smosh yelled from somewhere.

"Dude be quiet!" Anthony hissed from somewhere to Ryan's right.

"Why! We're in the middle of a god damn forest in case you haven't noticed!" Ian still spoke loudly.

"Because what if that thing is here too!" Jund hissed at Ian. Ian snorted.

"That's stupid Scott, things like that don't exist" Ian said. Ryan had knelt beside Felix and put a hand on his shoulder.

"You ok Felix?" Ryan asked worriedly stroking a hand across the Swede's soft, yet slightly stubbly and prickly cheek.

"Yeah...just banged my knee" He assured him. Ryan pressed his face into the crook of Felix's neck momentarily, feeling the youtuber's protective arms squeeze him comfortingly. He wasn't alone…he had Felix…nothing was going to change that… Ryan begrudgingly pulled away as he realized people were arguing and grunted as he got to his feet. Felix gave a little huff as Ryan helped him to his feet. The others were all still arguing.

"Well how the fuck do you explain all this!" Russ yelled from somewhere to Ryan's left.

"Someone must have spiked the drinks or something and we went out and don't remember, how else do you explain the black fog without drugs or something" Ian countered.

"Who the fuck would be dumb enough to spike everyones drinks, it would cost hundreds of dollars for that kind of stuff. Besides we couldn't have all had the same hallucination at once" Jund rolled his eyes.

"Sure we could have, like in the hangover!" TJ said sharply.

"They didn't hallucinate! They just forgot everything!" Russ argued. Ryan's eye twitched irritably. These guys were really starting to piss him off. More than usual.

"Same difference!" "No its not!" "Yes it is!" "Are you fucking retarded?!" Everyone began to yell over the top of each other unintelligibly. Ryan could feel something building in his chest, the likes of which he had never felt before. And he couldn't control it. The anger was just too much for him to contain.

"SHUT, THE FUCK, UP! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ASS HOLES THINK, JUST GROW THE FUCK UP AND STOP FIGHTING LIKE FUCKING TWO YEAR OLDS! GAAHHH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU STUPID ASSHOLES?!" Ryan shrieked at the top of his lungs, anger, border lining hatred, towards the people around him boiling in his veins. He was breathing overly heavy, unable to catch his breath from the absolute fury he felt towards these morons. Everyone froze and stared at him in surprise and shock. They'd never heard him raise his voice before, let alone completely lose it like that. He was glad he had the mask on, just so no one could see the absolute smoldering death glare he was giving them all. If looks could kill, they'd all be on fire. The wind kicked up around them all slightly, ruffling Ryan's hair and blowing his hood backwards, making him look like some sort of otherworldly being.

"Woah Ryan calm down, it's ok" Felix put a hand on his shoulder and made Ryan face him. Ryan flinched somewhat at the contact, a habit he thought he'd kicked. Ryan didn't want Felix to stop him, he wanted to yell and scream and let all those stupid, useless idiots know exactly how he felt about... but Felix's strong, protective hands and his calming glacial blue eyes, were enough to start draining a tiny amount anger from him. Very slowly grant you, but it was gradually beginning to fade. Ryan's heartbeat slowed, his breathing calmed, and was once again settled somewhat. Ryan let out a long sigh and leaned into his partner, not caring that other people were watching.

"That guy's a fucking psycho..." Someone behind him muttered. The anger flooded right back in. He pulled back was about to turn with a snarl, but a hand stopped him.

"Ryan...leave it" Felix's face was the only stopping Ryan from turning around and punching that guy. Ryan still felt that seething anger boiling inside him, but he just let out a slightly annoyed but conceding grunt and put his head on Felix's shoulder again. That stupid fucking asshole! How dare he call me a psycho! It made Ryan just want to go over there and...and... Ryan shuddered at the dark thought.

A taunting laugh echoed across the clearing, amused by the spectacle. Ryan's heart froze.

"Oh how easily all your petty bonds can be broken"

Ryan knew all too well who that voice belonged to now unfortunately, and it made his heart start pounding again, but for a different reason. A few people, Felix included, swore and jumped. Ryan steadied the Swede before he fell face first into the dirt and turned around to confirm his suspicions. He almost wish he hadn't. Standing in the centre of the ring of people, as if it had always been there, was thing that looked like an ordinary person, if only a little scarred. But Ryan still wasn't sure it could be human, especially after seeing the things it was capable of…speaking of with, the thing wasn't actually touching the ground… it was, well, not exactly floating, but those same black smoky things were wrapped around part of his chest and reaching the ground in powerful tendrils. It didn't look like it should be capable of keeping him/it afloat like that, but Ryan was beyond beginning to try and understand and question what he was seeing…It towered over them, the distance between him and the ground nearly twice the height of Ryan. Felix screamed, as did a few others, but Ryan couldn't move. He was frozen to the spot. Now he could actually get a good look at the thing…not that he really wanted to, it was just that if he didn't he was sure he would scream too…

The man would have been around about the same height as Ryan, maybe just the tiniest bit taller but it was hard to tell at this angle. He was wearing black pants, to Ryan they looked similar to the sort of skinny leg jeans he was wearing, a black hoodie with the sleeves torn off just above the elbow and under that a long sleeved red and black striped long sleeved shirt. His hands were clad in black fingerless gloves and were crossed over his chest as he stared smugly down at the crowd. His sickly red eyes gleamed with sadistic pleasure as he reveled in the noises of fear emanating from Ryan's counter partners. He looks just like an ordinary guy…why does he seem so…wrong then?

"Nearly as easy as you can be snuffed from existence" It laughed. Why did it sound so normal?! Like a random guy you could meet off the street. It made no sense!

"W-what the fuck are you!" Ian shouted, voice quivering with fear.

"Hmmm…well, master always said to give a name to something means to take away some its power over you… but then again he does go by a name so… I go by quite a few names. It, that, monster, evil, mostly mean things you see. The last lot that came here called me 'The game master', but I hated it, it made me sound like I was from the Capital… Yes Ryan, I can see you staring, I know what The Hunger Games is. I'm not an idiot. But if you absolutely must give me some sort of title, you might be interested to know I'm an accepting Proxy" It shrugged, giving what looked like a mischievous grin, the corners of its burnt and scarred mouth twitching.

"Wait, what do you mean Proxy?" Nova asked.

"It can't mean…" Felix whispered softly.

"Oh, but I do mean that Felix" The Proxy smirked. "Who do you think this master is I keep referring to?"

"No fucking way…!" Ken blinked in astonishment.

"And since I accepted it, I'm more than just a mindless machine like some of us are portrayed as. In fact, my master was so kind, he showed me how to harness the darkness, the shadows, even the data and pixels to bend to my every last whim and desire-"

"I don't give a fuck what you are, just let us out of here!" Russ managed to sound strong and brave, something Ryan would never have been able to do as he talked over the top of the Proxy. It blinked in surprise at the outburst and glanced down at Russ. Ryan could tell it wasn't used to being ignored like that.

"You've got balls to interrupt me like that Russell, I like that...But still, no...I don't think I'll do that either" It smirked. "You're much too fun a player load out to let get away"

"T-then what d-do you w-want f-from us?" Felix shook, still holding Ryan against him with a tight grip. The Proxy snickered at the fear in Felix's voice and turned his attention to them. Ryan shivered as it' gaze rested upon him. It was like the thing could see into his very soul…

"I thought you said you wanted to play a game? I know I certainly do. Aaand as I said before, I needed new players. And you all look like you might be a bit of fun. I've never had this many new characters at once" The Proxy grinned evilly at them.

One of the rooster teeth guys, the one with the glasses, finally cracked.

"Shut the fuck up with all this talk about nothing but bullshit! You're going to let us out of here and fuck off back to wherever it is your mother abandoned you from, you got it you stupid cunt?!" He stomped right up to the Proxy, pointing angrily.

"Michael, NO GET AWAY FROM IT!" The other guy, Ryan though his name started with a G or something, rushed over to pull him back. But it was too late.

The Proxy rolled his eyes and flicked his hand towards the man below him. Black tendril like shadows shot from the air around him and grabbed Michael by the throat. He scream was slightly choked as he was lifted up into the air, feet dangling off the ground as he clawed at the strands of smoky shadows. His fingers wrapped around them, which was something they hadn't been able to do earlier, but they wouldn't budge. Obviously it wasn't enough to strangle him completely, but it must have been extremely painful to breath.

"And who's going to make me? You? Now that would be something I'd like to see. The man with a dirty mouth who thinks he's famous because he films himself doing things? I tremble with fear!" It shivered mockingly. "But I'll have you know, there's only one way out of here"

"And… what's that then… ugly?" Michael struggled to say around the rope like blackness at his throat. The creature laughed.

"Want me to show you?"

It reached its hand out in the air in front of him and muttered something in a language that Ryan had never heard before. The words were dark and lucid in their movement, almost oozing with power. It made Ryan shiver at the sound. It actually felt good to hear… the only comparison he could think of was hot, sweet melted chocolate made into a language. But at the same time, he could tell it was dark and dangerous…and yet that only added to the luxurious delight from the delicious words…

Those same black tendrils that had dragged them all here swarmed around his palm, almost excitedly. Felix tightened his grip on Ryan's arm, crushing fearfully into him as the shadowy tendrils swarmed from the shadows around them. Ryan held him back protectively, because even though those smoky forms weren't all that scary to him, he didn't want Felix to feel so horrified by them… The Proxy grinned as the tendrils dispersed, leaving a long silver dagger, carved with strange patterns along the handle sitting in his palm. With his other hand, the Proxy made a little beckoning motion toward Michael. He yelped with surprise as the tendrils pulled him forwards, leaving him only an arm's length away from the Proxy. With a small smile, he wrapped his long fingers around the hilt and placed the sharp tips against the skin of the struggling man before him. Michael's eyes widened in fear as the metal gleamed in his face.

Before anyone in the field could react, the monster plunged it straight through Michael's throat. The Michael guy tried to scream, but was cut off with a gurgle as the razor sharp steel cut through his windpipe and protruded out the other side.

"MICHAEL!" The guy starting with a G screamed in horror as his friend's blood spurted across the Proxy's scarred and gleeful face. The Proxy jerked the blade out savagely and let him fall to the ground with a sickening thud. The man rushed over to his dying friend, but was stopped dead by the flick of the Proxy's wrist. The dagger sailed through the air towards the other man, and before he knew what was happening, the blade hit the base of his throat. The other guy, Gavin Ryan finally remembered perhaps too late, was decapitated in one swift blow. Everyone screamed. Ryan felt himself begin to stumble backwards, Felix no longer holding onto him. Felix had fallen to his knees and wrapped his arms around his chest in sheer horror. Blood spurted out of the now empty space the man's head had once occupied, spilling down onto the grass below, staining it red. The head rolled across the grass for a few bounds and came to a rest facing Ryan.

He couldn't even scream anymore. Or if he was, he wasn't aware of doing it. It was just...just... Gavin's eyes stared blank and dead straight ahead, piercing Ryan like a knife. Blinding panic slammed Ryan so fast and hard it felt like a bus had hit him. He could hear Felix retching beside him but couldn't turn to look. In the moment of horror and panic, Nova and Diction had rushed at the monster to try and save Michael. But it was pointless. Ryan could see from here he was seconds from death, he had turned pale white, his eyes beginning to slide out of focus, his feeble attempts to stop the red liquid from flowing between his fingers had all but stopping. Bubbles of red blood clung to his lips and spilled out of the corners of his mouth. And then... he died. Just went limp on the grass like a rag doll, all life gone from his features, as if it had never existed in the first place.

Ryan could see Nova and Diction yelling and grabbing at the Proxy, but he couldn't hear them. The screaming and crying of the others around him had made that impossible. Ryan had figured out he wasn't screaming like the others, but his face felt oddly wet for some reason he couldn't figure out. The Proxy turned its pale, marred face and looked directly at Ryan. For a moment, it just stared at him, ignoring the people grabbing at his feet, trying to drag him to the ground and just watched Ryan with its dull red eyes. Then it glanced over at Adam, the Minecraft one, and tried not to smirk. Adam had fallen to the ground, along with both the Tyler's and looked as if he were hyperventilating. He was holding better than the two Tylers though, both of whom were crying. The Proxy then took a glance over at Markiplier and Raedwulf, who Ryan had only just noticed were just across from him. Surprisingly enough, it was Raed who was trying to pull a panicstricken Mark from the ground, completely refusing to look in the Proxy's direction anymore. Ryan felt a brief surge of respect for the small time gamer, he thought the seemingly emotional unstable would be the first to cripple under the enormity of the scene they were all witnessing, but he was showing more courage that he was… Even the Proxy seemed impressed, giving Ralph a little look

Then, without even showing the slightest bit of emotion, the Proxy swung its arm out, connecting with the side of Nova's face with a sharp whack. Nova was flung into the air with a shriek and smashed against a tree, a sickening crack sounding from his body. Nova's body slid down the tree and came to rest on the ground. His back was protruding on an odd angle... and he wasn't moving...

Diction sobbed and stumbled back, realizing what a big mistake it was to try and take on this thing. Too late. The monster drove the blade down hard and struck home in a single, effortless movement. It had stabbed straight through the top of Diction's skull with the sickening sound of metal against bone and flesh. He didn't even have a chance to cry out or scream, he was dead long before it had even come to a halt. His body hung limp and useless from the blade, like in a zombie movie when they kill the zombies in a similar way. Back then it looked bad ass. But...this wasn't a zombie... this was a living person…well…was a living person…

Ryan ran.

There was no way he was allowing this damn murderer to touch him.

He ran with no hesitation whatsoever. No thought on where he was going, where he was going, if anyone was following him or not. All he cared about was getting as far away from that clearing as possible. He didn't want to die like those other four! His feet crunched over dried leaves and twigs as the forest flew around him in a blur. He couldn't even see where he was going. The night time was playing tricks on his eyes. Every towering trunk looked like the creature, their branches all claws trying to snatch him up. The mask certainly wasn't helping things either. He almost wanted to tear it from his face, but it felt like it was the only thing protecting him at the moment. Not that he was concerned about protecting his identity or his scar, but it just felt like the mask would shield him somehow from what was happening around him.

Ryan could still hear the screams. Some faint, others bloodcurdling and close. This made him even more terrified. Were they all dying too? Was he the only one to get away? He could barely hear anything over the pounding of his own heart in his ears. This just couldn't be real. This had to be a really bad, really vivid dream. Why else would he be dreaming about Proxies and people he knew getting killed? That had to be it…it just had to…if he could just wake up…

No…I know it's real…it's fucking real! Why is it real?! Why isn't this a figment of my imagination, I'd rather be insane or something that this! This is like messed up game or something… he…he really is making this a game…I'm just the player…and the others are too…and four have already lost…THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!

He was vaguely aware that the ground underneath him had changed from dry leaves to hard crunching pebbles. For a moment, he nearly tripped and fell, but he managed to stable himself at the last moment. He was right about there being a lake nearby. He could see it running about a hundred meters to his right as he fled the bloody scene in the forest behind him. It was massive, the opposite shore was only about 7 or 800 meters across, but it stretched on length wise for such a long way Ryan couldn't see the endings. Maybe it was a river? But it didn't appear to be flowing…it must be a lake then. It was glassy smooth, only being disturbed by the light breeze blowing against Ryan's face, sending a soft ripple across the surface. It was lit up by the bright full moon, the only light in this entire god forsaken place, sending a soft bluish glow against the shore line. Black pebbles made up the shore rather than sand, and were rather slippery underfoot from the water running between them. Ryan slowed his pace so he wouldn't slip on the round pebbles again, but still kept moving. He couldn't stop. It'd get him for sure if he stopped moving, even for a second. He had to keep going...it was the only way he could survive this… just keep goin-!

A voice. Ryan was sure he heard it. He looked briefly over his shoulder, heart pounding harder than ever. A dark figure was chasing him, sprinting dead on at him. Ryan swore, painfully aware of the unwanted fear in his voice, and summoned up the last of his strength. He ran across the lake shore without slowing, no matter how badly he wanted to, trying to get away from the figure and praying he wouldn't trip again. He would be next if he did. Oh god please I don't want to die like this! I can't. Not after all I've been through. I just can't! Just keep moving. Must find something to-

"Cry, please it's me! Stop!" The voice drifted in his ear, the words he'd been hearing and ignoring finally making sense. Ryan slowed down and looked back over his shoulder. He wanted to sob with relief.

"Scott?" He asked, just making sure. He wanted to be absolutely certain it was him before he ran back.

"Oh thank god, yes! I've been chasing after you for ages" Scott finally caught up with him. His face was damp with sweat and his entire body shook, with exertion from chasing Ryan or just plain terror Ryan couldn't tell. Ryan grabbed Jund and pulled him in a tight, fear filled embrace.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were the thing!" He crushed his friend against his chest.

"Na 's fine. Caught you in the end, that's all that matters" Scott panted. Ryan realized he was crushing Jund to the point where it was probably hurting him and quickly let go, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"Where's everyone else?" Ryan asked, panting as well. He hadn't actually given the others a second thought as he fled.

"You were the first to run. I didn't even notice you go at first. About ten or twenty seconds later everyone went nuts. They all scattered in different directions I think. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who followed you though" Jund coughed once he'd stopped speaking. He must have been pretty out of shape... Ryan wasn't exactly the type of guy who worked out constantly or anything, unless you counted what he and Felix did as exercise... then yeah...he was probably an Olympic athlete.

"Did...did anyone else...?" Ryan was almost too scared to ask.

"I-I don't think so... maybe. I didn't see anyone but..." Ryan knew what Jund meant. He just shivered.

"Did...did it really...did that all actually happen Cry... It can't have... this must be a dream... they aren't dead. They aren't dead" Scott voice came out in an almost desperate whine and he was shaking violently. It was all too much for him. Ryan didn't answer. What answer could he possibly give? It didn't seem real at all, just a bad dream... but deep down, he knew. This was real. Not a silly dream or computer game. They were really dead... and strangely... it didn't bother Ryan... He hadn't know them personally. In fact... Ryan knew it was that Michael guy who had called him psycho... and at the time, he had felt like he wanted to kill him... Ryan shook his head, as if to shake away the thoughts. No, he couldn't think like that. They hadn't deserved to die, especially not like that... but still... a strange part in the back of Ryan's mind was buzzing. It wasn't like he had cared for the guys... they certainly hadn't cared for him... maybe... they did deserve to...

"Cry? Cry! Are you alright" Ryan looked down to see Scott was shaking him.

"Oh...um... yeah. I'm fine..." Ryan muttered. He couldn't tell his friend about what he had just experienced. He'd think Ryan was insane, or completely disturbed in the head...

"Good, good... oh god what the hell do we do now?" Scott ran a hand through his hair, tugging at it in fear.

"I...well... we have to keep going... far away from that guy...there has to be a way out of here. We'll see if we can find the others along the way, but for now just stay close got it?" Ryan asked. Scott nodded shakily.

"Good, come on" Ryan began to walk away from him, knowing he'd follow. He could barely remember what way he had come from, but Ryan figured if he followed the water, even just for a bit, he'd be heading in the right direction. After a second, Ryan heard the scrabbling of pebbles and knew Jund had caught up to him. His friend was at his side moments later, eyes still wide with terror as he glanced over their shoulders.

The forest was silent. There were no screams, no voices, no rustle of leaves, just dead silence. The only thing Ryan could hear in the darkness was his own heart beat and Scott's disjointed breaths. Ryan could tell he was on the verge of a breakdown, but he could offer no words of comfort to him. There were none. This was probably the worst thing that Jund had ever heard or seen outside of games... where as Ryan had had a life time of horrors. Not death this brutal mark you, but close enough. If Scott was about to lose it so quickly... how are the others handling it like Russ or Ken or... Shit! He had completely forgotten about Felix! Ryan had just ran off and left the man he loved sick on the ground with that Proxy... could he already be...?

"No... he is not dead... Felix is better than that" Ryan muttered under his breath, quiet enough so Scott couldn't hear it. Felix was better than that. Felix would never let himself die that way... he was strong and brave and... everything Ryan wasn't. Ryan was cowardly and weak... he should have stayed and helped Felix, but he was a wimp... he had just left him to die... It sickened Ryan to think he was that cowardly. Sickened him right to the core.

All those dark feelings he had been trying so hard to get rid of had all come bubbling back. And without Felix there to protect him from them, they were twice the strength as they normally were. I'm weak...I'm a useless weak bastard. I can't even save the man I love... how the fuck do I expect to save myself! Maybe it'd just be better if I did just... who do I think I'm kidding, I will die. There is no escape... just like the basement. Ryan let out a soft, unintentional moan at the memory. It brought him a fresh bout of pain, adding to the trauma already building inside his mind. Jund looked at him questioningly at the involuntary little noise. Ryan mouthed 'sorry' and lead them away from the shore and into the tree line. Trees seemed like they would provide at least some camouflage…

Ryan felt empty. The idea of death didn't scare him, but more the fact that Felix would be devastated if he died. Even if only for awhile, Ryan didn't like the idea of Felix being that heart broken and distraught. Only he was allowed to be depressed...

Ryan leapt about a foot in the air when a blood curdling cry pierced the sky. It sounded pretty distant, but it was still there. It was a woman's scream, one Ryan knew well…

"RAVEN!" Scott yelled. Before Ryan could stop him, Jund bolted past him and charged off into the trees.

"Scott wait!" Ryan called after the hastily vanishing figure. "Oh for FUCK sake, JUND!"

Ryan chased after him, diving through the trees after his friend. He called after him, but was completely ignored. So Ryan pursued Jund, desperately trying to keep him within his sights. He could still hear Scott calling out for Raven, but the screams had stopped. It was just them again. Ryan feared the worst... The Proxy must have got her…

Ryan felt his foot snag on something. He shrieked as he smashed hard against the ground, his leg hitting a particularly sharp rock. A little stab of pain jolted Ryan's thigh, but he ignored it for the most part. He looked back to find a tree root wrapped around his foot. He viciously kicked at it, trying to free himself from its grip. It came away in a few quick jerks thankfully. He scrambled to his feet, feeling the spot where he had hit his leg against the rock twinge painfully. He swore and looked up. Everything was silent. Scott was gone.

"Scott? Scott! Where are you? SCOTT!" Ryan yelled into the darkness. No reply. No sight or sound of his friend could be found. Ryan started to shake. He was gone... Disappeared into the forest. Jund had… left him. Ryan didn't realise it... be his throat had begun to close over and tears prickled behind his eyes. Jund... his friend...had just... left him here. Just left him alone in the woods with that monster to die. Why... I thought he was my friend… why did he leave me here like this!

Ryan fell to his knees as he realized just how alone he truly was. The first tear left his eyes. He was going to die alone wasn't he? He had always been alone. Every hardship he had suffered without anyone there to help him, when he had been taken by that man, when he had been...assaulted... when he had been stabbed, when he had sunk into a deep depression, when he had tried to take his own life... all alone... every second of it. The only time in his life he had had someone there for him was when he met Felix. And now even he was gone. He'd lost Felix…he could be dead for all Ryan knew, and it was all his fault…he should have helped him! He should have just taken the three extra seconds to grab Felix by the arm and drag him with him….but he hadn't…and now…he was alone again…

Ryan curled up in a ball and wept, feeling the weight of everything crashing down on him. He could almost hear the Proxy's mockingly cruel laugh echo in his mind.

He was stuck here...all alone... just like the world wanted him to be.

Alone...
