Chapter 2
Judy rolled over towards nick side of the bed,expecting to feel his sleek soft silky fur but this morning all she felt was silky sat up and rubbed her eyes and face and ears,she pulled the sheets off her lap and left her room on the search for nick.
"Nick were ya got to?" She called still rubbing her small violet eyes.
"Morning sleeping beauty" he called after her. He was sat on their black glass topped dining table which was bearing two plates one filled with blueberry pancakes and one stacked with carrot was dumbfounded by his actions.
"I don't unde...what's this?" She asked
"Well I felt bad for you and I know that I have been through tough times but I envy the determination you had.. And I thought after all that you deserve something nice!" Nick said exciting awaiting her response.
"You did this for me..? You my friend.. Are the best boyfriend ever!" She exclaimed while giving them a big squishy then turned to turned to the food giving off the amazing smell that was making its way up her nostrils and sat her self down and motioned nick to do the same.
"So you excited about the prom or this ball thing?" He asked stuffing his mouth with several pancakes.
"I don't think I can go you know I was gonna tell you,while you were asleep Jessica (Judy's sister) sent me a message saying that she can't bring the prom dress." Judy ears drooped along with her eyes she knew that nick and even her were excited about going but that wasn't going to happen without a dress.
" ah,Judy I'm sorry...for telling Jessica to not come and not to bring the dress?"said tilted her head with a combination of confusion and anger.
"I thought you wanted to go?" She said slightly tearing up in one eye.
"Hang on,wait minute, I told her not to come because…" he reached from below the table and pulled out a black suit bag. The red fox pushed their plates to one side and laid it on the table.
"What's this?" She asked with curiosity.
"Just open it." He instructed her. She turned the mystery package so the zip face her. She stood up on her tiny paws and began to unzip it . she stood there still and pulled it out of the black bag. Emerging from the bag was a beautiful lilac layered skater dress with sequins around the straps and held it the rabbit size dress in her arms like a baby,no one ever had been so kind to her a tear found its way down her cheek she was overwhelmed by this. She look up to see that once again the red fox wasn't there,she was confused and spun around on the spot to see where he had gone only to see that he was down on the floor on one knee holding up a small velvet box bearing a bunny sized engagement ring the fox as slightly shaking with nervousness with his ears pinned back.
"Nick..?" She said wearily choking on her own words.
"Judy… will you marry me?" He eyes were streaming multiple tears of joy and too shedding some tears of his own.
"Yes, Yes ,of course I will marry you,you dumb fox!" She exclaimed. He took her soft little paw and slipped her perfect engagement ring onto her tiny finger. At that precise moment she flung her arms round his neck and pulled him down for a kiss.
"Of course I will be your wife." She whispered into his ear.
