A/N: This is the second chapter; it will also be a sort of introduction. Still talking about their backstories and lives.
James
James woke up that day and did his early routine; daily morning run, shower, going to work.
James was working in his office, when Sirius busted through the door.
"Good morning, young lad. How do you do?" he said cheerfully, also excessively loud.
"Are you high?" he did not stop what he was doing; he did not even look up when he spoke. He was used to his friend's crazy behaviour.
"Aw, Prongs. I'm just excited, it's a wonderful day, isn't it?" he flashed his white straight teeth at James and plopped down on the armchair in front of James' desk.
"What are your plans tonight?" he continued when James did not answer
"I'm staying here late, and then afterwards I have to deal with something." He answered, finally looking up at Sirius.
"What? It's Friday night; people usually go out and party then get some action" he wiggled his eyebrows while saying the last words
"I don't need any action" he imitated Sirius "besides, I told you. I need to deal with something."
Sirius' attention was called, "Deal with something? Care to elaborate."
James sighed, "Someone moved in next door. I need to find out who they are and how to drive them away."
Sirius groaned, "James are you hearing yourself? You're so much like an old lady now."
"What? I am not," he answered defensively
"Oh my god dude, okay well let's see…you barely have a life, you sit at home most of the time, you're good at knitting, you can cook, you have tea in the afternoon, and I'm pretty sure you're one more Sunday gossip with the grandmas in the park away to getting a cat." Sirius explained in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Well…this is important" he changed the subject "Someone moved in into our completely deserted street surrounded by nothing by forests for kilometres."
"So?" Sirius asked still clueless. James face-palmed himself
"You can be real think sometimes, you know?" he sighed and completed "Can you tell me the reason we decided I buy a house in the middle of nowhere away from civilization as much as possible?"
"Because Moony- wait someone moved in? I thought there weren't any houses next to you." He finally understood, and concern etched his face.
"Well the whole was supposed to be built with houses when I first bought mine. But then the house closest to mine was also bought." He was explaining but Sirius cut him off.
"Yes so we got Moony to turn during the full moon to scare away your neighbour and any potential neighbours. So what is different now? The full moon is in a couple days, we will scare them off anyway. Why do you worry so much?" Sirius brushed away the idea, James shrugged and they both decided to go back to James' place after dinner to investigate who his new neighbour is.
"In the meantime, let's go get lunch." Sirius said tugging on his tie, he hated wearing suits.
"I have a meeting in a bit, plus a lot of work to do." He tried so decline
"Oh Jamsie-poo you need to spend more time with me or I might leave you for a more attractive rich fellow." Sirius walked over to stand behind James
"Sirius owning a company doesn't make it okay to leave whenever you want to, you should know since you own half of it." James looked at him accusingly
"Well, you can so why not? Let's go." He tugged on James' shoulder and left to lunch.
