"How did this happen?" Asked the demon softly as he sat outside the church in the pouring rain, his hair getting soaked with each passing moment.
A priest stood by the doors of the church, his eyes dim as he clenched his hands. "It's all- " he began before deciding to switch his words, "I'm sorry brother..."
Smiling sadly, the demon picked himself up, and with downcast eyes, he gazed at the priest. "My name is Iain now... The demon of pride, " laughed the demon weakly as the priest closed his eyes.
The rain was still pouring down as the demon spread his wings out as the golden church bell rang loudly, echoing around the church and the forest that surrounded it.
"But you'll always be my brother... And I thank you for that," bowed the priest as the demon's pathetic excuse of a smile turned into a grin.
"Aye, and you know that I'll always love you." Spoke the demon softly before he flew to the sky without a second of thought, leaving the priest by the church.
"Allistor..." Whispered the priest as he held onto the silver cross that he was given on his sixth birthday.
The Demon of Pride was one of the most loyal warriors of the Devil, it was said that the demon was almost unbeatable in swordsmanship, but that may be questioned for a mere priest managed to single handily banish the demon from our world, leaving only two demons left.
But a question may still wonder around the Demon of Pride, and that question is what exactly happened to him... And why did the priest disappear after a week from the demon's disappearance.
