Emilie was sat by her youngest son's bed. Ethan was still in hospital after his accidental overdose but was due to go home any day. 'Good morning' Ethan whispered as he opened his eyes, noticing his mother sat beside him.
'M-m-morning' Emilie smiled. 'H-how are y-you f-f-feeling?' She asked.
'Sore but better, thanks' Ethan replied sitting up.
'Take it easy' A voice came from the doorway.
'Caleb, I can look after myself, now leave me be' Ethan huffed. He went to sit upright but a pain rippled through his stomach. 'Ow!' He groaned.
Emilie looked concerned as Cal hurried to his side. 'What's wrong? Where does it hurt?' Cal asked.
'I'm fine, Its just my stomach, from the procedure yesterday' Ethan explained relaxing onto the pillows.
'Well I think we should get you home!' Cal smiled. Ethan's eyes lit up like a child in a sweet shop.
'Really?' Ethan asked.
'Really' Cal stated. 'Let's get you changed into something more comfortable then Mum and I want to take you home' Cal exclaimed.
'But it's not tidy, it's a mess' Ethan moaned.
'It is, Shelle, mum's carer and I went to clean up yesterday whilst mum stayed with you' Cal assured him.
'Then what are we waiting for' Ethan asked.
'Let's get you in this wheelchair and out to the car. You can sit in the back with mum if you want' Cal suggested. Ethan nodded. Cal helped them both into the car, making sure they were safely strapped in before heading to the drivers seat. Ethan shuffled over to his mum, putting his arm around her and snuggling close. 'Everything alright back there?' Cal asked.
'Yeah, just making sure we're both comfy' Ethan smiled. Emilie grinned, putting her arms shakily around her youngest son.
When they pulled up outside the house, Ethan was asleep in his mothers arms. Emilie rested her head against his broad shoulder and was nodding off. Cal smiled to himself as he lifted his mother into her wheelchair before lifting Ethan out of the car and into the house.
'C-Cal' Emilie stammered.
'Yeah, it's alright, we're home now' Cal murmured. 'Let's get you both a cup of tea'
He handed them both their tea when a phone rang from inside her handbag. 'C-can you g-get that for m-me' Emilie asked her eldest son. Cal nodded and answered the call.
'Hello?' He answered.
'Mum? Is that you' a voice responded. The colour drained from his face.
'Are you alright?' Ethan mouthed.
Cal left the room.
'Who is this?' He asked.
'It's Kiera, who are you' She replied.
'I'm Caleb Knight' Cal explained.
'Well can you put my mother on?' She asked.
'I think you have the wrong number' Cal chuckled.
'I don't think I do, this is Emilie Groome's number isn't it' Kiera responded.
'Oh my god' Cal groaned. 'I had no idea, oh god, this is an absolute nightmare' Cal moaned.
'What are you talking about?' Kiera asked confusedly.
'I'm Emilie's son Cal' he explained.
'Oh god' Kiera whispered.
'I'll pass you onto mum' Cal stated robotically before handing the phone to his mother. 'Mum, its Kiera for you' he explained handing the phone over. Emilie's face became pale.
'Who's Kiera?' Ethan asked.
'Our sister apparently' Cal stated.
