So I'm happy that this is receiving so well.

So, I re read the first chapter and edited it, I removed Ruby having red eyes like Yang. Had a reviewer that didnt like it, I had to agree. I also changed the semblance from speed and teleportation to time. Sorry if you liked that.

Now, Ruby's alternative looks, well...I plan on explaining that all later.

I also had a few complaints that Ruby shouldn't be using a copy of Ravens weapon. Now while I wasnt planning on it originally I'm going to change it. I give thanks to Videocrazy bringing up a few points in saying that Ruby is built for speed, which is still true in this story which wouldn't be Raven's fighting style. So I plan on changing it.

Ruby woke up early and wandered out to a courtyard. She drew her sword and began her early morning stretches. After about an hour she wandered into the bathroom and began to strip down for a shower but just before she unclipped her bra a gasp sounded out behind her.

"W-what happened to your back?" Ruby turned and saw her sister shaking slightly.

Yang woke early to wash out her hair, what she said to Weiss was true, her hair took forever to wash when she saw her long lost sister again. At first she smirked that the Xiao-long Gene's had gone into her sister just like her, but she then gasped when she saw that her sisters back had a massive scar across it.

"Accident happened when I was six"

Yang could only gape as her sister grabbed her towel and wandered into the shower stall.

After eating a nice breakfast Ruby wandered out to the courtyard and dialed her mothers number.

"Hello Ruby, what have you to report?"

"Hello mother, I was wondering if you remember our conversation before?"

"Regarding the fact that you were and still are copying my style?"

Ruby merely nodded fighting back the urge to blush. Her mother would kill her for showing weakness if she did. "It works for me mother...but yes, I've decided to try and design my own weapon. I'll send over the blueprints I've started on...I could use some advice on it though."

Raven nodded, "very well. Glad to see you are starting to realize your own weakness, when you get used to the new weapon I expect our next spar to have an actual challenge."

A message flashed and Raven opened the attachment. A blade similar to hers, from what she could tell the spinning object turned and absorbed her semblance to be able to use on a wider scale. The sheath was thinner and she noticed that the blade wasn' completely dust, like hers were, the sheath combined with the blade and extended into a bow. "Well well, it seems my little Rose has some skill designing new weapons. However, I think this would be better." She redesigned a few aspects of the weapon. "Hmmmm...Vernal!"

The flap opened to reveal a young brunette, "yes?"

"Take these blueprints to the forge now." She threw her scroll.

Ruby was flung off the cliff and went flying through the air, however her eyes narrowed and where Ruby was once in free fall was a red and black summer tanager.

"OZPIN!" A voice sounded, he turned and saw Summer Rose stomping towards him.

Once he saw what Ruby did however he did a spit take on the coffee he just drank. "So, Raven shared her curse. Hard to believe that she did that."

"Ozpin! Why was I not informed that my daughter had been found?!"

"It's a simple matter of an old man forgetting my dear."

Glynda gave him a dirty look, "sorry Summer, he wanted to see how strong your daughter is now..."

Summer huffed and pulled her scroll out to tap into the live feed from the cameras around the forest.

Ruby transformed back and land on the ground, she took off northbound.

"Hmmmm...not really anyone I'd want to be partnered with." She muttered to herself when she heard the telltale signs of a fight.

Turning to the clearing she saw a girl with short white hair and a rapier that had a piece detached to create a secondary smaller knife. She seemed to dance around the field, glyphs appearing and pale blue swords impaling the grimm all around her. 'she's at least strong. She'll do.'

As Winter dispatched another Beowulf she heard a growl behind her and spun around to block, however her eyes widened as the Beowulf seemed to slow down. A blur of black and red caught her eye and the Beowulf died, "thanks." Silver met blue.

"Your a strong fighter, but never forget to keep aware of your surroundings. Ruby."

Winter scowled slightly at how much she sounded like her father, "I guess were partners now. Know where to go?"

Ruby's lips upturned slightly, "I'm not like you father. I've met him before, this way." Winter was stunned for a second but shook it off and followed.

As they walked Winter noticed a huge crack in her weapon, "you should be careful. If that dust ignites from that crack, it could be bad."

Ruby chuckled slightly, dont worry Winter. This weapon was only until my own was finished. It wont be long now, we've been in this forest for a few hours now I believe."

"Hello?" Yang called out, "ugh, me and my penchant for explosions. Carried me to far away from Ruby,gonna have to find her now."

Suddenly a claw flashed forward and she back flipped, "jeez. I didnt even notice you. You guys couldn't hit the side of a ba..." that's when she noticed a long blonde hair floating down. "You monster!" Her eyes flashed red and her hair ignited. (yea, same way in cannon that Yang and Blake met.)

Entering into the clearing Weiss saw a bunch of ruins, "hmpph, not a single person or grimm on my way here."

Wandering down to the ruins she picked up a white knight piece, "chess pieces? Not exactly a relic." Then a few more people came, one was a orange headed girl and her raven haired partner riding in on an Ursa. The second was a black and yellow Duo emerging from the forest. The next was Phyrra Nikos being chased by a deathstalker while her partner was hanging upside down from his pant leg. Finally she caught sight of the Schnee hair color of her sister as she and another girl dressed in red and black dashed out barely avoiding a hail of feathers.

The blondes eyes turned red, "great! Now we can all die together."

The raven headed girl scoffed, "please. It's just a few grimm, that we dont even need to fight. Grab your pieces and let's go." The group all ran but was swiftly cut off by the nevermore. Jaune,Phyrra,Ren, and Nora all charged at the deathstalker and engaged it in battle.

Weiss gazed skeptically, "that is going to be a problem, the thing has the advantage of being in the sky."

Ruby laughed slightly, "the Schnee family semblance. You can summon monsters you've beaten before."

Weiss turned red and Winter looked down. Ruby narrowed her eyes, "you cant use that can you?"

Winter glared at her partner, "I can too! I...I just cant summon big guys yet. The largest I've ever summoned was a ursa." Weiss wouldn't meet her gaze.

Ruby sighed, "you two come out here to be hunters and you cant access your full semblance...granted my semblance isnt fully mastered yet but...jeez." Ruby dashed forward and everyone gasped when a tiny summer tanager it flew up towards the nevermore. Everyone gasped when the nevermore opened its mouth and consumed the bird however.

A few seconds went by and the nevermore began to bloat and swell, at least until a massive explosion sounded shredding the beast to pieces. Winter huffed, "I told her that crack in her dust chamber was dangerous"

They all watched as a glowing object fell from the smoke, everyone saw it was Ruby. Yang dashed forward to catch her, but just as she got close her eyes widened when she seemed to slow down and then land elegantly on her feet. "Well...lesson number one, dont have a cracked chamber of dust inside of a grimms stomach. Mother is gonna kill me when she finds out what I just did." Her scroll beeped and she saw a message, damn right I will. Ruby chuckled nervously and led the group to the nearby tower. They were cut off however when a horse of beowolfs appeared and swarmed them. Another buzz and Ruby glanced down look up Ruby did so and everyone froze when a blood red portal opened up and two items dropped out Ruby caught the two items and strapped them on. The first item was a standard quiver with arrows. The second Phyrra doubled back at. It was a classic katana, however as she drew her blade the bottom of the sheath rotated slightly and blue veins ran up the blade. The round end of the hilt had begun to rotate slightly. The sheath had a black raven engraved on one side and a red tanager on the other both leaving trails of feathers swirling around signifying that they were flying in circles around the sheath, however both birds had there right eye different, it sprouted wings off to the right and the pupil was a flaming dose with a clock inside of it.

All nine of them dashed forward and began slashing at there enemies, except Nora, she just smashed with her giant hammer. As the group finished off the horse the Alpha came charging and Ruby flipped her blade sl she was holding it backwards and combined the sheath. The blade retracted into the hilt and it all curved. Then an arch of black lightning sparked between the two edges and Ruby pulled out an arrow, an arrow that had black pulsing veins running through the head. "Which of you had better aim?" Ruby asked the Schnee sisters. Weiss stepped forward and the chamber on her myrtenaster rotated. Ruby leapt up and fired the arrow, Weiss caught the arrow in a gravity glyph. The arrow quivered and it increased speed, once it impacted the dust in the arrowhead began to warp gravity around the Beowulf and everyone winced as even the bone armor began to twist and crack in unnatural ways.

Yang smirked after it died, "well...that was a thing."

Ruby Rose, Winter Schnee, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao-Long, and Blake Belladonna, you five managed go get the two white knight pieces, from here on you will be known as team RWWBY lead by...Ruby Rose." Ruby's eyes twitched and she glared at the headmaster. Completely ignoring the glare of Weiss and the determined look on Yangs face, however she did wonder about the look Blake was shooting her, at least until Ruby saw Blake's nostrils flare and recede as if she was smelling something. Then a small caught her nose. Cat

"Say one word kitten, and I'll show you why wolf's are feared." She mumbled. Blake's eyes widened.

"Fine. As long as you keep my secret as well," she mumbled back. None of there team hearing what was said, but Winter did notice that there lips moved slightly and narrowed her eyes.

"Looks like it's going to be an interesting year."

As team Ruby made there way to there dorms they heard a voice, "Ruby!" Everyone turned around and saw a woman in a white cloak, similar to the black one Ruby was wearing. Yang pat each of the other girls on the shoulder and shook her head. The four girl walked away towards there new dorm.

"Hello. You just be my Biological mother."
