Chapter One
Jack P.O.V
A night off is just what I need. Away from Ianto ignoring me. Away from Gwen's school girl crushing. Away from Owen. Away from Tosh. Away from weevils. Away from my hopeless search for the Doctor. A night just for me to do what I like and who I like. And I think I just found her sitting at the bar with no obvious companion. Hmmm.
Gorgeous face, red lips, curly blond hair and an expression that says she's the most dangerous thing in this place. Just my type.
"Hello," is the first thing I say as sit in the seat next to her and smile. "I'm Jack Harkness, Captain Jack Harkness. You?"
She smirks like she knows something and replies "Currently River Song." Her eyes are shining with laughter and now I'm sure I'm missing something but ignore the feeling. It's my night off, no mystery, no aliens, just a night to myself. If something happens it can wait till morning.
"Currently? Interesting. But I have a more important question. Are you waiting for someone and if so would they like to join us tonight?"
Grinning I order a whiskey and another of the cocktail she is slowly sipping.
"Well I am waiting for some people and they have just walked in the door. So they can answer your question as they are heading this way."
I turn and look to the door. There are three people there, two males and a female. The female has bright ginger hair and wearing a gorgeous silver dress. The man next to her is a blonde dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. The third a man with a tweed jacket and bow tie, looking slightly uncomfortable as they head towards us.
