Hi, I know its been a while and if you've read my profile you will know that I don't plan to speed up my game but I am trying I guess and am hopefully going to be a bit more regular than nearly two years? Yeah.. sorry about that. Anyway I don't own anything and stuff...

Chapter 1: Greetings

I looked down at the bags of seeds in Vestas shop looking at the prices of the different types of crops and trying to count up how much it would cost me if I bought so many of one bag, or multiple. 120G plus another 120G is.. 240G, which leaves me with uh..? 260G. Well for that I could buy a 150G bag and then I would still have 110G for food.

I nodded and picked up two bags of turnip seeds and one bag of strawberry seeds, I carried them over to the counter, placed them down carefully and pulled out my purse from my rucksack "Is that everything?" Vesta asked. I nodded, starting to pull out the exact change I needed "Well thats 390G altogether" I handed over the money, put the seeds in my rucksack and left the shop saying goodbye to Vesta and the young girl working with her.

I dashed back up to my farm and found a space where Gotz had already cleared some rubble today to plant my crops at, I used my hoe to turn over three 3x3 plots of soil and planted a couple of seeds in each of the squares, making sure to spread them evenly. Once I was finished I watered them and stood proudly, looking at a job well done. It was my second day here in Forget-me-not Valley and I had already started working.

I mean I would have already started working anyway but after last night the want to work grew inside me, I was now determined to succeed and bring back the Harvest Goddess. While asleep last night I had had the most vivid dream in which the Witch Princess had turned the Harvest Goddess to stone and then sent her to another world and all of the Harvest Sprites with her!

Only one was left out of the 100 and it was my job to get them back. Today I had already got back two! All I had done was wake up and there they were, Neptune and Mercury. Hopefully the rest of them would be found that easily.

After weeding a little bit and chucking out some branches from my field I decided to look around the Valley, it was only 2pm so I had plenty of time to have a wander and try to meet a couple of people in the Valley. I started by walking down towards the beach and Turtle pond, as it said on my map.

Not many people were down there and I only came across a girl around my age who I found was called Nami, Takakura, who lived next door to me and who had been kind enough to tell me where to get crops and said that he would look into getting me a horse if I wanted. I walked back up to find an odd looking man with a tall hat on and a little old lady wearing a bandana, I introduced myself to them both and then walked up the other path way from the one I had came down.

I was about to go into the bar when I saw a young girl with short brown hair walk past, I decided to not go into the bar and go and greet the girl. She saw me coming and stopped, looking a little frightened "Hi" I said as I approached her "I'm Jill, I've just moved here, I'm living on the farm" I said putting out my hand.

The girl looked at my hand, confused, for a couple of seconds before saying "Sorry, I'm not used to new people coming here, I'm Lumina I live with my Grandma just up there" She said with a nod in the direction that she had been walking previously. "It's nice to meet you Jill" She said as she took my hand to shake it.

I smiled "I'm sorry to bother you but I was just wondering if there are any cafes or restaurants around here?" I could feel cramp in my stomach from not eating all day and the fact that I, one: had no fridge and two: had no food.

Lumina shook her head "No sorry, the only place really is Rubys' inn just down there" She said pointing to a large building just beside the pub. "But I think she only feeds those who stay at her inn, however I'm sure if you explained she would be happy to help you out. If you want to shop for any food the best thing to do is call up Mineral town and Karens supermarket, she'll deliver what you ordered by the next day."

I sighed by the next day? I couldn't wait that long, perhaps the inn was a good idea just for today and I could order some food now so I would have food tomorrow. "Lumina! Who's this?" I heard someone call. Both Lumina and I turned to the right to look in the direction of the voice. Another girl was approaching us, she was a little taller than myself, but then she looked to be in heels.

She wore a little red dress and a blue cardigan over her shoulders, she had long blonde hair that fell past her shoulders and down to her waist in loose curls. As she got closer I could see that she wore makeup on her eyes that really brought out the green in them. "Are you new?" She asked in a sing-song voice.

"Yeah, I've just moved onto the farm, I'm Jill" I said with a grin.

The blonde nodded, looking surprised "That'll be a lot of work, it hasn't been lived on for years! Well good luck to you" She said. She was about to turn away when she said "Oh I'm Muffy by the way, it was nice to meet you" With that she left, turning down and towards the pub.

"Sorry about Muffy" Lumina apologised once the girl was out of earshot. "She can sometimes come across as a bit rude but she's lovely really" I shook my head dismissively, she seemed nice to me. I was more surprised that there seemed to be so many girls around here the same age as myself, so far I had met four. Lumina, Muffy, Nami and that girl in Vestas shop. I wondered briefly if there were any men around here around my age too.

"Well it was nice to meet you Lumina, thanks for your advice" I said before waving and walking back to my farm, Lumina waved back and continued the way she was originally going before I had stopped her. I went back to my farmhouse and rung up the Supermarket, using the list of contacts that was beside the telephone. I ordered as much curry powder and riceballs I could afford and one bottle of oil.

I was only left with 10G when I had finished and I was told by the lady (who I assumed to be Karen) that my order would arrive by tomorrow. I put down the phone and made for the door to go to the inn to see if I could even get a bowl of soup for 10G, like a beggar. It was about five o'clock now and my stomach was inside out.

I hurried down to the inn with only my purse in my pocket, I opened the door and walked in to see a plump, short woman behind the counter, arguing with a taller, blonde boy. The boy seemed to be asking something of the woman as she had her hands over her chest and was shaking her head.

"Oh come on mum! Y'know I'm no good at anything like that, please? Can I please go?" The boy pleaded to the woman, who I assumed was Ruby.

"No! Rock! You do absolutely nothing around here and I'm sick to death of you treating it like a dump! You will not go tonight you will go up to your room and give it a good clean!" The boy, Rock, tried to plead some more but Ruby just shook her head and turned away from him, doing another job. Eventually Rock gave up and walked around the counter to go towards the staircase, I assumed.

I assumed as he never got there because as soon as he walked around the counter he looked up and saw me. "Well hello there and who are you?" He asked with a stupid grin on his face, he sauntered over to me, tucking a bit of blonde hair behind his ear and gave me a wink.

I held back the urge to grimace and smiled politely "I'm Jill, I was just wanting to talk with Ruby, the owner here" I looked past Rock and saw that once I had said this the woman behind the counter, Ruby, looked up from her work.

The boy stayed where he was and continued talking to me "Well I'm Rock if you want I can give you a tour, there's no one else better in this Valley than I at t-"

"Rock, leave the girl alone, she doesn't want a 'Rock-tastic' tour" Ruby said angrily. Rock made a face and stormed off up the stairs, probably going to his room. Relieved I thanked Ruby and made my way over to the counter. "So what would you like darling?"

"I was just wondering if you sold any food? I just arrived yesterday and I don't have anything in the house" I tried to say with a smile knowing that I only had 10G in my purse and that probably wasn't enough to buy anything.

The woman smiled, understandingly "I see well we don't usually but I know it must be hard coming out here by yourself so I'll cook you up a meal, on the house, just give me a minute or two and I'll go and make you something" Ruby picked up her pen again and quickly scribbled something down. A second later she went into the back door on the right and came back out a moment later with the girl I had met before, Nami.

"If you don't mind Nami would you take care of- Sorry I don't know your name"

"Jill"

"Jill, while I cook her up something quickly and of course look after the inn too?" Nami nodded and took Rubys' place behind the counter, Ruby hurried into the kitchen and let the door swing close behind her. I looked over at Nami curiously, she was relatively tall, taller than myself I would say, she had short red hair, that in a certain way looked a little purplish that was cropped up to her ears. She wore a blue sleeveless-shirt and an orange top underneath.

What I noticed most about Nami was her stern face and cold blue eyes, they were not welcoming at all and part of me wished that Rock was here to tell me about his 'Rock-tastic' tour so I wouldn't have to stand in silence with a girl who I guessed did not want to be there. I tried my best to think of something to say to break the silence but nothing came.

Surprisingly though, Nami broke it "So you're the new farmer, huh?" She asked, a small smirk on her lips. I nodded slowly, not sure how to respond to that "I think that's really cool of you".

I was a little confused as to what she meant by that but I assumed that it was a compliment "Thanks.." I said quietly I felt slightly intimidated by Nami, I wasn't sure what it was about her, maybe it was the whole illusion of her potentially being a bully. I mean the whole checkered blue shirt with no sleeves.. it's just like what you saw on TV as a child.

"So what do you do for a living?" I asked trying to relax into a conversation with Nami.

"I travel mainly, I've been around I guess, I worked in Flowerbud village for a while. I don't know if you've heard of it? I lived there for a little while... and then uh, well I think I was at Sunshine Islands for a little after that and then Mineral Town before here. I've been here a while now though.. I'm not sure what to do..?" She trailed off looking behind me, I looked over my shoulder to see if she was looking at anything in particular but it seemed that she had just got lost in thought.

I was about to ask Nami which was her favourite when Ruby came back through the doors, "It's ready dear, come and take a seat" Nami snapped out of her daze and looked at Ruby and then me. I nodded and walked over to the kitchen.

"I'll see you later Nami" I said as I walked around the counter.

"See you later" She replied.

I entered the kitchen to find a small wooden table and couple of chairs around it in the centre of the room, against the wall were counters, a fridge and an oven to cook on. It was small but it was warm and cozy and out of the window you could see the main street that went through the Valley. On the table was a bowl of what looked like stew with some bread next to it. I sat down at the table and picked up the spoon next to the bowl.

"Thank you so much" I said to Ruby who had joined me at the table with a bowl of stew for herself.

"Don't worry about it I know what you're going through, I went thought the same thing when I moved here with my husband, it's hard at first but it'll get better. Will you want to come here tomorrow too?" She asked sweetly.

I shook my head "No its alright I've ordered some food so I should be alright after tonight, but thank you anyway" I took a chunk of the bread and dipped it into my stew, the bread was soft and had probably only came out of the oven an hour or so ago.

I ate my soup quickly while I listened to Ruby chatter on about when she first moved here, before Rock was born, she talked about her struggle to get her business set up and trying to get enough money to keep it open, especially with not many people coming through Forget-me-not Valley at the time. But it wasn't long before we were both finished eating and I left the inn to return home. Of course not before I thanked Ruby several times over for being so kind.

When I got home I changed into my PJ's and climbed into bed, snuggling up, tired after a long day and a nice, warm, full belly. I closed my eyes and instantly fell into a deep slumber.

I awoke to the sound of pounding on my door, I groaned and turned over in my bed, what time was it? It couldn't be time to get up surely? Oh goddess please say it wasn't, I was not ready to get up yet. Another three pounds sounded and I sat up aware that I was probably annoying whoever it was behind my door, so I got up and walked over to the door still half asleep.

I opened my little, wooden door to find a woman who looked to be about my age (as every woman around here seemed to be) with long brown hair and sharp green eyes. "Hi, you ordered these?" She asked, holding up a brown paper bag that was filled to the brim with curry powder and riceballs.

I nodded "Yeah I did thanks" She handed me over the bag and I put it down next to the door frame and ran over to the table next to my bed to quickly get my purse. I handed over the money I owed and the woman left saying a quiet 'bye'. I closed my door and put all my new food on the counter, since I had chucked out my old fridge. It was a good thing none of it needed to be in a fridge. I seriously needed to start making money to buy things like that.

I washed up and got ready, now awake after being disturbed by the woman who I gathered was Karen. It was only 7:30 by the time I got out of the house according to my watch which I was pleased by as it was the earliest I had been up since arriving here.

I watered my plants, and done some gathering of branches and stones in the top left corner of my field that had still been untouched by Gotz. I looked around trying to spot the woodcutter, he was at the opposite end of the field hacking away at a broken tree stump. He had took away the fridge I had put out and cleared about a third of my field but there was still a lot to do, boulders to be taken away, two shells of a coop and a barn and at least five tree stumps. I was doing what I could but it wasn't much only clearing little bits here and there.

I felt pretty useless but considering I was worn out after ploughing 3 squares of field and watering them it was probably for the best, I doubted I'd be able to swing an axe or a hammer, I never had done it before. I sighed to myself, maybe I'm not cut out to be a farmer after all, this was all hard work and I was just a poor little city girl who had no money, no strength and no idea what I was doing.

I put the stones and branches beside my shipping bin and walked off my farm deciding to go for a walk up to the Goddess pond. Once I got there I spotted Lumina sitting by the pond and decided to go and join her. "Hey Lumina" I said as I sat down beside her. The brown-haired girl turned to look at me and smiled.

"Oh hello Jill, how are you?" She asked.

"I'm fine thanks, how are you?" I replied, with a smile of my own. After that we got chatting about ourselves, I asked her about the Valley, how long she'd been here etc. Muffy joined us after a hour or so and chatted with us too, Lumina said she had to go at around one so I left with her and went round to her house (well mansion) where I stayed until late in the evening, getting filled in on the Valleys gossip, on who was who and who to avoid while out and about. I got home at around 9 but it wasn't until half an hour after that I realised that I had left my rucksack in Luminas bedroom.

I was tempted to just leave it until tomorrow but it had all my tools in which I would need tomorrow morning when I got up so, despite not wanting to I left my house once again and headed for the mansion. I walked through the Valley in the cool spring air, holding the backs of my arms because of the chill and looking down at the ground, trying to entertain my walk with my own feet.

I had just reached the top of the stairs that led up to the mansion when I bumped into someone, I looked up suddenly, surprised anyone was around at this time in the night and I was about to say sorry, expecting to see Lumina or Romana but was even more surprised to see someone who I had definitely not seen around the Valley before. To be honest I shouldn't have been that surprised as I hadn't met everyone yet but Lumina and I had talked about everyone who lived around here this afternoon and a silver-haired man with bright green eyes in a leopard print shirt and purple pants definitely didn't come up in conversation.

"Hehe. Hello beautiful. Walking alone at night?." The man said with a cheeky wink. I froze in place stunned at what the man had said, did he just wink at me too? "Hehe, I'm quite the ladies' man and prince of the stars" I raised my eyebrows and went to explain that I was going to go and see Lumina but I was stopped by the interruption of another voice.

"Hey! Aren't you that famous thief who warns his victims ahead of time?!" Lumina shouted as she ran out from her home, I panicked but still stood in place now not wanting to say anything or do anything rash that might have got me in trouble, especially with a thief!

The thief turned back to me after looking over his shoulder at Lumina who was running towards us and smiled "Hehe, Sorry, I'm a bit pressed for time. I'm about to jet out." He then, out of nowhere, leaned in closely and whispered into my ear, "Call me Phantom Skye, I have a feeling we'll meet again. It's in the stars" As he pulled back and took a few steps away and down the steps, Lumina ran up next to me.

"Wait right there!" Lumina said in a stern voice, her hands on her hips and a pout on her lips but it didn't do much for her high, childish voice. She could have been a little girl trying to tell her parent to stay and play with her. Skye whipped around to face us both and smirked.

"Hehe, hold up, beautiful. Don't let such raw anger steal away your beauty". Then he was gone, running down the steps and into the rest of the Valley, Lumina stood for a moment gobsmacked and blushing like a schoolgirl before running after him.

Lumina didn't get very far, she only got to the end of the steps before she stopped, looked out across the Valley and sighed before coming back up to where I stood. "He's such a smooth talker.." She said dreamily, before looking at me, suddenly realising my presence "Jill! How long have you been here? I'm sorry I just.. well he's really dreamy isn't he? Nevermind that, did you want your rucksack?"

At first I continued to stay silent, still confused and surprised by what had just happened but after a couple of seconds I smiled and nodded "Yeah I did thanks" Lumina and I walked back to hers in silence, Lumina quickly ran inside and gave me my rucksack before saying good night closing the door quickly behind her.

I hurried home anxious to get to my bed and to hopefully miss the 'Phantom' on my journey back. Luckily I didn't see him and I got home without any trouble at all. Once I was in my own house I dropped my rucksack and got ready for bed, jumped in and flicked off the lights closing my eyes, trying to get the image of Skye winking at me out of my head.
