Dez's looked up from his myTab as Trish entered the room and gestured for her to take a seat right beside him on the loveseat. "Oh, there you are, babe. What took you so long?" he wondered outloud.

Trish sat down and sighed. "Well, both Ollie and Gigi needed baths after getting pizza all over themselves. It took forever to get all of the red off of their faces, and you know how much Gigi hates it when you scrub her face. I finally got them out and dressed but forgot to empty the tub. While I was helping Ollie brush his teeth, Gigi played around in the tub water and got all wet, so I had to change her again. Then, storytime took forever because she just wouldn't settle down. Poor Ollie was so patient with all the interruptions. I actually did the abbreviated version of Planes Fire Rescue because it was all just taking too long."

"I'm sorry, honey. Now, that you're here we can finally relax." Dez sighed putting his arm around Trish."Yeah, Alina and Essie weren't a problem. I just told them to get ready, read them a chapter of their bedtime story, and gave them a few minutes to read. I set the timer on the myTab and told them lights out when it rang. Tada, girls in bed in like five minutes. Score!" Dez cheered putting his hand up for a high five.

"Dez!" Trish scolded putting his hand down. "Quiet down or your success will end up being the biggest failure. On second thought, why don't we go to our room?"

"Okay, nothing's going to get in the way of my Trish time," Dez said with a smirk. He stood up and grabbed Trish's hand leading her out of the living room.

"Sit down, I've got something for you," Trish said as she marched into the closet. "Just wait. Let me get it." She came back with a package wrapped in light pink zebra print paper. "Hope the paper doesn't drive you crazy. I only had the stuff from Gigi's birthday."

"No, it's perfect. Thank you, honey," Dez said turning to Trish for a kiss.

Just then, they heard a gentle knock at the door.

"Come in," they said in unison.

The door creaked in, and little Ollie came stumbling in. He looked so cute standing there with his messy hair and Planes pjs.

"What's wrong?" Trish asked.

"There's a monster in my closet. It just keeps moving around my room. I can't sleep. I'm scared," Ollie said coming to Trish for a hug.

"Trish, let me handle this one."

"Go with daddy, sweetheart. Everything's going to be okay," Trish assured the four year old, giving him a goodbye kiss.

"Come on, buddy, let's go on a monster hunt. I think we still have some monster spray under the sink. Let's look," Dez said grabbing Ollie's hand.

"Oh, and be quiet so you don't wake up Gigi." Trish added after the door shut.

In minutes, the door opened, and Dez appeared. "Got all of those monsters?" Trish said with a smile.

"Yeah, he's almost asleep," Dez breathed.

"Good work. You're such a brave dad. I'll have to call you next time someone vomits."

"Yeah, dream on. Monsters are more my speed. Now for the present." Dez grabbed the gift and placed it on his lap.

Just as he had grabbed hold of the paper, Trish grabbed his hands. "Stop right there. Don't open it yet. You've got to make a guess first."

"Seriously, you really know how to torture me," Dez grumbled.

"Well, ginger boy, I've been making it my business since the day I met you. Now, if you're tough enough to handle monsters, you surely can handle waiting just a minute for the present."

"Okay, I guess I'll wait," Dez said shaking the gift. "It sounds shaky. Zaliens puzzle?"

"How can you tell what it looks like from the sound?"

"I've got my ways. Now, just let go and let me open it."

"Okay. Wait's over."

Dez tore off the paper with one almost violent tear. "Yay, Sizzle Five. I love this game...Wait a minute, don't we already have Sizzle Five...Ha! Presents inside. Don't think I don't know your ways by now." Dez opened the box. "Oh, a purple t-shirt. Thanks, Trish. It will go perfectly with my lime green and blue beach ball pants."

"Unfold it," Trish said. She was interrupted by the sound of a knock at the door.

"Three knocks, it's got to be Essie. She's too old to be bothering us at night especially when I still haven't gotten to look at the shirt yet," Dez grumbled.

"Come in," Trish said loud enough to be heard.

The door opened, and sure enough it was Esmeralda. "It's too early. I just can't sleep. Can't I just please stay up," she begged.

"No, you need to go back to sleep, Essie," Trish replied firmly.

"Oh, what's that present dad has?"

"It's just a shirt," Trish answered. "Now go back to bed, young lady. "

"Can't I stay up little longer," Essie pleaded. "All of my friends get to stay up until like 9:30."

"You can read one more chapter of your book out in the hallway. Then you have to go back to sleep." Dez was firm.

"Okay, dad."

"Goodnight, honey," Dez said giving her a hug.

"Sleep well, girl," Trish added as Essie wandered over to her side of the bed for a hug.

The door finally shut, and Trish sighed, "This has been quite the night".

Dez pulled out the shirt and began reading slowly and methodically. "Strong men care, world's best dad...Another dad shirt….that means we're having another baby?"

"Yes, Dezzy, we're having another baby."

"Oh, Trish. I'm so happy. I know we said four would be enough, but I've kept thinking about how I'd like just one more prince or princess."

"Me too. I'd love to have another boy. I love my girls, but it's just so much fun watching you and Ollie."

"Well, we'll see. Either way, I can't wait for the newest Wade to arrive."

"You know, Dez, this is not the life I would have imagined for myself—you being my doof, raising our kids—five of them, but I swear I couldn't be happier. I love our kids, and I love you."

"Love you, too, Trish dear. I couldn't be this happy with anyone else," Dez replied leaning in. This time, there was no knock at the door.

"Dez, I'm hungry," Trish said breaking the silence.

"Well, what are you craving now?"

"I was just thinking that butter pecan ice cream with celery might not be so bad."

"Hey, that actually sounds good. I'll go get us some. Then, we can settle in and watch a movie. It's time to celebrate number five in style."
