Zoro crossed his arm. "What did you say?"
"These pirates showed up and arrested Nami and Usopp for coming into town and then Sanji challenge them! This weird guy showed up and zapped Sanji causing him to pass out! They took the three of them away!"
"That stupid cook got himself caught?"
"Yeah! They took them that way!" Usopp pointed into the distance.
"Ugh." Zoro grumbled. "Wait, why didn't you get arrested."
"I fought bravely and managed to take down all of the ones after me, but by the time I was done they had already taken our beloved crew mates away!"
"In other words you were hiding?"
Usopp fell over. "I-."
"Is Robin watching the ship?" Luffy asked.
"Uh- Yeah." Usopp nodded. "She was below deck when the others were arrested. We've got to go find them!"
"Right!" Luffy nodded. "Let's go then!" The three of them started walking in the direction Usopp had pointed to. After a few minutes they spotted a large coliseum on a hill. "OH! Look at that!"
"That must be where they took Chopper and the others." Zoro nodded.
"Look! There are guards!" Usopp pointed.
"We probably don't want to draw attention to ourselves." Zoro looked around. "Come on Luffy; let's see if we can find another way in. We'll never find the others if we get into a fight."
"Right." Usopp nodded. The three of them moved towards the side. It took them a while but Zoro finally got annoyed and cut a hole in one of the walls where there were no guards.
"Let's go now." Luffy grinned and slipped in. "Oh…" He looked around. "It's dark in here!"
"Luffy be quiet!" Zoro grumbled and slipped in. The hallways were dark and full of doors on each side.
"This place is spooky!" Usopp whispered.
"This place is neat!" Luffy whispered at the same time as Usopp.
"HEY! SOMEONE LET ME OUT OF HERE!"
"Wasn't that Nami's voice?" Zoro blinked. "It was coming from ahead." He walked forward. "Hey Nami is that you?"
"Zoro! Did you get caught too?!"
"I'm not like that idiot chef, I didn't get caught!" Zoro walked towards the voice.
"What was that moss head! Uhg…"
"That was Sanji!" Usopp rushed towards another door. "Sanji are you okay?" He tried to open the door, but it wouldn't open. "It's locked!"
"Leave it to me!" Zoro pulled up his sword and sliced through the door to Nami's cell and then walked over and cut open Sanji's. Nami had been alone but Sanji had a cellmate. A man with long black hair sat in the corner and didn't even look up. All three of the people had steel collars around their necks. "Where's Chopper?"
"They took him away!" Nami looked around. "Not that long ago."
"Your friend was taken to fight in the coliseum." The long haired man whispered. "When you enter this town and get caught you become a slave to the Coliseum Pirates and are forced to become their fighters." He touched his collar. "These collars mark us as the captain's slaves."
"Collars huh." Zoro frowned and looked off. "And you get locked in here?"
"Only if the only use you have is fighting or if you can't win at your fights." The man looked up, he paused as he noticed that Zoro, Usopp, and Luffy. "You don't have collars! How did you get in here?"
"I cut a hole in the wall." Zoro pointed off. "Hey Nami hold still." He walked over to her and swung his sword.
Nami screamed, but stopped as the collar slid off her neck. "ARE YOU CRAZY?"
"I got it off you didn't I?" He shrugged. "Come on Luffy, let's go find Chopper. Nami, Usopp you should take that idiot chef back to the ship. He doesn't look like he's in any shape to fight."
"I can fight fine!" Sanji stood up slightly, but fell back over.
"Right!" Usopp nodded. "Come on Nami!" He grabbed Sanji's arm. "Let's leave this to Luffy and Zoro."
"You really…" The man stood up. "You cut off the collar! How!" He took a step forward and then collapsed. A large wound dripped blood from his back.
"Hey!" Nami gasped and looked at him. "Usopp! Carry him!" She pointed to the man.
"He said that Chopper was taken to fight." Luffy looked at the man and then back at the hallway. He grinned. "Let's go fight then Zoro!" He started running.
"Wha- Hey LUFFY!" He started running after the captain. They ran through the darkened hallways until they found a larger open room with a little bit of light. There was a large door at one end of the larger room that was slightly open.
"I'm guessing that leads to the fighting area." Zoro nodded as he and Luffy headed towards the door. Zoro gripped one of his swords.
"Right! Let's go fight!" Luffy grinned and opened the door. Natural sunlight streamed in. The two walked out and found themselves looking down at a large clearing where two figures were standing. There were tons of large stands that were full of people. All the people were cheering and yelling. "Hey isn't that Umi?"
Zoro looked back down at the two figures fighting. One was indeed Umi and the other one was… "Chopper!" Zoro gasped. The small reindeer was bleeding and in his larger human form. Zoro didn't wait for anything as he jumped down and landed in the fighting area. The area turned quiet instantly.
"Zoro!" Chopper looked over. He also wore a collar around his neck.
"Chopper are you okay?!" Zoro glared at Umi. She was staring at him calmly. A knife was in her hand dripping with blood.
"I'll be fine!" Chopper looked back at Umi.
"So the two of you are friends." Umi said calmly. "I see." She nodded to herself.
"UMIKO!" A voice boomed. "Take down those invaders." Zoro looked up to see a man sitting in a large throne chair. He was tall and muscular with no hair and he only wore pants and an open vest. There was a tattoo of a chain circling his head. "Now Umiko!"
"Alright!" Umi nodded and looked at Zoro. "I told you to get out of here." She shot forward and sliced out at Zoro. He blocked with his sword.
"CHOPPER!" Luffy came running forward. "Where's your enemy?! I want to fight too!"
Chopper pointed towards Umi. "That girl Zoro's fighting right now."
"Huh?" Luffy looked over as Zoro and Umi clashed again and again. Both had cut's on their arms from each other. "Hey Zoro! I want to fight too!" Luffy ran towards the two. "Gum Gum… Pistol!" Luffy's arm shot forward, shocking Umi and hitting her in the face. She went flying into the wall. "YEA!" Luffy grinned as his arm came flying back to him.
"Wow!" Chopper gasped.
"Come on!" Zoro grabbed Luffy's arm and Chopper's arm and started running.
"GET THEM!" The tall bald man yelled.
Zoro glanced over his shoulder and noticed Umi getting up. She glanced over at them and gripped the chain around her waist. Zoro frowned. "Luffy we need to get out of here!"
"Ah... Alright…" Luffy sighed and stretched his arm out into the distance. "Alright! Hold on."
"Wait Luffy!" Chopper gasped, but Luffy suddenly pulled them off into the distance.
"YEAH!" Luffy called out as they flew.
"UMI!" Umi looked up to see Captain Steel looking down at her. "Go get them! I don't want any of them to leave this island."
Umi looked up and nodded. "I'm going." She turned and walked off. She sighed. Luffy… Zoro… Please hurry off this island before I have to fight you. He's not going to make me kill them if they don't hurry. Umi headed back into the town.
Zoro grumbled as he sat on the deck. "Idiot." He grumbled. He looked over at Luffy. "Did you have to send us flying back to the ship?! We just needed a hole in the wall to get out of there. Hey Nami we need to get out of here!"
"Right! Set the sails!" Nami yelled.
"Right!" Usopp jumped up and started to run to help.
"Hey Zoro, can you help me get rid of this?" Chopper touched the collar around his neck. "It's itchy."
"Right." Zoro stood up and sliced the collar off.
"Now I'll go help him!" Chopper pointed to the long black haired man and rushed over. "This cut is bad!"
"Uh..." The man gasped.
"Hey old guy." Luffy looked at the injured man as they sailed out of port. "What's your name old guy?" He poked the man's head.
"LUFFY!" Chopper yelled at their captain.
The man coughed and looked at Luffy. "Where am I?"
"You're on our ship." Luffy said calmly. "So what's your name old guy?"
"Taikim." He coughed again. "I'm a slave of the Coliseum pirates."
"Not anymore." Zoro looked over. "Once you can get up I'll cut off that collar of yours. We can drop you off at some island then."
"You can… free me…" Taikim gasped. "Really?"
"Yeah." Luffy nodded. "You're free now."
Taikim sighed. "I need to go back."
"WHAT?!" Everyone, except Robin, gasped. They all stared at Taikim as he stood up weakly. He leaned against the side railing. "I have to go back and save my friend."
"Your friend?" Luffy asked.
"Yes." Taikim looked back at the island. It was disappearing from view. "We promised each other when one of us got free, we would free the other." He coughed again. "I always thought she would be the one to get free first. She's the one who deserves to be free."
"Who is your friend?" Nami asked.
"Her name is Umiko, and she is another slave to the coliseum pirates."
"That girl didn't look like a slave." Zoro frowned. "She's the one who was fighting Chopper."
"She seemed nice when she paid for our food." Luffy said calmly.
"I don't like her." Zoro grumbled.
"Please… Take me back! I have to save Umiko. She doesn't deserve to be a slave. It's not her fault she's a slave." Taikim looked down. "It's all because of an unfortunate situation."
