So in the first part of this chapter I kind of wanted to focus more on Valerie's thoughts and how she acts like an introvert with most other characters rather than just her complete normal self with Scott or Stiles right off the bat *as usual*(BECAUSE THEY ARE BESTIES AND THEY GET EACH OTHER)... (although we have mentions with them here and there in this chapter btw,) or Derek... (at least not for now haha ;) )

Chapter 2 – OMEGA

That Monday morning, I was standing at my locker for about twenty minutes. Stiles had been PMS'ing since they still hadn't found Lydia after she escaped the hospital. We met up when we got to school and apparently there was news that there had been a body dug up at the local cemetery with the liver torn out and gone. The boys were worried Lydia was the one who had done that.

The warning bell had rung twice already and there was one ring left before I'd be late to first period. Allison hadn't showed up and I didn't see her anywhere. I was beginning to worry myself because she did tell me last night that wanted to talk to me in person early before class. Today was her aunt's funeral and we would be meeting up after school but she was going to give me some extra details this morning.

"Hey Val."

I turned when I heard my name and smiled softly at Matt who was opening up a locker just three down from mine.

"Hey..." I said a bit confused, "Why are you here?" I asked.

I still felt slightly awkward that I had been a horrible date to the dance not too long ago and I hadn't even really called him back or anything. He was a nice guy. I was a complete jerk and shouldn't have even brought him with me knowing that things would be going really bad that night.

"Oh, it's my new assigned locker. My old one was busted in; the lock part was dented so I asked them if they could find me a new one. And here I am..." he said.

"Oh, cool. That's awesome. Right next to me then." I said with a smile.

"And Allison, right?" he asked and I nodded.

"Yup, hers is right here on my left," I said patting the door. "Hey, you haven't happened to see her around this morning, have you?"

"No, sorry." he said, sticking some books in his new locker.

"Crap." I muttered.

"Something wrong?" he asked.

"No... it's just that I kind of had to talk to her. She's not answering her phone. Maybe she's just running late and I'm over reacting. She's having a hard time right now anyways."

Just as I said that, the final bell rang and I mentally cursed at myself; I was late and I prayed to the Gods that Mr. Harris would be in a good mood this morning.

Classes passed rather quickly thankfully and during lunch, I was on my way to my locker to drop off my things when I felt an arm grab me and pull me to the side. I was about to pull away in panic when I noticed it was just Allison.

"Damn girl, take it easy, a simple holler would have sufficed." I said with a frown, rubbing my arm. She had grabbed it rather roughly and for a tiny girl, she had a lot of strength.

"Sorry. But um... I missed first period. I just had a hard time waking up this morning." she said and I nodded; it was understandable.

"What's up then, how are you feeling now?"

Allison sighed, "I'm not feeling too good. But that's beside the point. My dad talked to your dad this morning while he dropped me off and we're all going together. So do you mind if I get a ride with you after school?" she asked.

"Yeah, no problem. I'll meet you by my car." I said and offered her a soft smile.

"Thank you." she said quietly.

I leaned in and hugged her tightly. Her thin arms wrapped around me and I could feel her slowing down her breath, as if she was trying not to cry. She clung to me for a minute though and I let her. She needed this kind of contact at the moment. Her arms loosened up and we looked at each other and I held her hand and touched her cheek.

"Don't worry, okay? If you need to, go freshen up in the bathroom. Scott said to pass by your locker by the way. So take your time, I'll get us some lunch and wait for you by the courtyard outside."

Allison smiled gratefully and nodded, "Thank you Valerie."

School let out all too soon and it felt like time was on my side for once, except today was a day I wouldn't have minded drawing out. Funerals were not fun. The last one I had gone to was my mother's and that was extremely hard for me. Allison now had to attend the funeral of the psycho aunt who had just tried to kill them all and warp her niece's mind only a few days ago. After we met up after school, we headed to my house where my dad met us. He exchanged a few words with Allison before letting us go get ready in my room.

We hardly talked, lost in our own thoughts and Allison lay on my bed while I got myself together. Just an hour or so later, we were done and my dad took us in his truck back to the Argent's home. When we got there, we both stood quietly off to the side as the adults talked amongst themselves. The people present included Allison's parents, my dad, and three men, all dressed in black. I was guessing that they were obviously hunters like Allison's family. They were talking about someone who was on his way although I wasn't sure whom he was talking about.

Half an hour later, everyone started to pile in their SUV's and trucks. I drove alone with my dad and we didn't talk much, well... anything to be honest until we got to the cemetery. There were numerous cars along the private road and many camera and news crew. I sighed as I got out of the truck and stepped onto the grass carefully in my heels. There was a big gust of cold wind that hit us and I tied my coat straps around my waist tightly. I spotted Allison and her parents being escorted by the Beacon Hills sheriff's past some safety barricades, and they did the same as soon as my dad and I stepped through including the three other unknown men.

We walked along the grassy path and my dad met up with Chris. They were talking about the same man as before, and Allison asked who it was but her mother ushered us over to the seats. I was about to sit in the second row before Victoria grabbed my arm tightly.

"Nonsense dear, sit next to Allison, it's alright."

I looked up at her icy blue eyes and back down to Allison who nodded. I sat on her left and we looked forward to see the dug up ground and an expensive looking coffin sat near ready to be lifted and put down in the ground forever. I looked over and patted Allison's knee who smiled at me softly before it faded and she looked up and past me to see a rather old man walking towards us with two burly men behind him.

When they reached our group, the old man exchanged a few words with Chris before embracing him and he did the same with my dad. I was curious as to who he was and he made his way over to us and he exchanged kisses on both cheeks with Allison's mom. He looked down at us and gave me a slight nod before looking down at Allison.

"Do you remember me?" he asked.

I instantly noticed his voice was very raspy and hoarse; it sounded just like my grandpa's voice from when I was younger... he was a smoker though.

Allison nodded before he continued. My eyes traveled afar for a moment when I spotted something by a statue far away and my eyes widened.

"Oh my God." I said and all heads snapped to look at me before turning in the direction I was looking.

I instantly felt embarrassed and wanted to the ground below me to swallow me up as well. Stiles and Scott were hiding behind a statue and I inwardly groaned and hid my face behind my hand. "Sorry." I muttered quietly.

"Considering I haven't seen you since you were three, I don't suppose I can assume you'd call me grandpa..." he said.

So this was Chris' dad... her grandfather.

"So if it's comfortable, call me Gerard... for the time being." he continued, But I prefer grandpa." he said with a nod and a way-too-creepy-for-my-taste-smile.

I stood up momentarily excusing myself and both my dad and Chris looked at me with a raised eyebrow as I walked over to Stiles' dad.

"Hey Valerie." he said with a soft smile.

"Hey Mr. Stilinski... I just um... thought I'd let you know we have some dumb-ass guardian angels watching over us from afar over there." I said, nodding my head towards the one lonely angel statue a few yards away; also Stiles' foot was sticking way out and it was visible to us.

His eyes closed for a moment before he spoke, "Please, tell me it's not my son and his best friend."

I tried to hold in my laughter at that moment because this of course was a serious matter but Mr. Stilinski looked like he was about to shoot steam from his ears just like in cartoons.

"I'm sorry to say that it is, sir."

He opened his eyes and took in a deep breath before patting my shoulder and started to walk around the arrangements made in this area.

I walked back to where the seats were to see Mr. Argent had taken my spot. His father, Gerard was sitting next to him as well and my dad occupied the seat next to him. I went ahead and took the obvious spot by my dad and he looked down at me.

"What was that about?"

I rolled my eyes, "The boys just don't know when to stop. They think they're Nancy and Sherlock when they are actually idiots." I muttered, crossing my arms over my chest and my dad coughed to hide a chuckle.

The ceremony began with a father speaking from selected passages from a Bible and I dozed off looking around the cemetery. I didn't want to hear anything about death, about God, Angels, whatever. I was still pretty pissed off at everything that had gone down in these last few days. This was all for show anyway. I sat here merely to pay my respects to Allison who needed a friend. I had spotted, not too far away, a boy whole looked around my age. He was really familiar and the longer I thought about it, it later dawned on me that he was one of the guys on the lacrosse team. He was staring at us for a while now and when he looked at me, catching him staring openly at us all, he looked flushed instantly and had turned to walk around again.

Thankfully it was over before we knew it and everyone started to gather together. There were plans being made and they decided they'd go back to the Argent home. Things were pretty weird from then on.

Later in the night, at around ten or so, Stiles had called my cell phone while I was up in my room, eating a late dinner.

"Hi, how can I help you?"

"Thanks for ratting us out to my dad!" he said, his voice clearly annoyed.

Rolling my eyes, I took another bite of my chicken, "Listen you little shit, it was her aunt's funeral, you guy's can't just show up like that whenever you want, especially at a time like that!"

"Yeah whatever, that was still really low." he muttered.

"Whatever to you. Shame on both Scott and yourself. That was rude, and you guys shouldn't have done that." I said between bites of rice.

"Sorry. Also, you should know, we found Lydia tonight. Or rather she found us... and she was... naked. But uh, anyways, that's the good news. The bad news is that it means someone else is doing all these attacks. And those guys earlier today... are they really like, reinforcement?" he asked.

I took in what he said about Lydia while I chewed and after a few seconds I took a sip of my soda before beginning.

"Oh yeah, definitely. I overheard a shit lot about plans they had and it's not good. Scott better be fucking careful because Gerard is not the kind of guy you fuck with. He better talk to Allison soon. Now I'm going to finish eating dinner, and I'm going to bed. You should go shower because I'm more than sure you haven't in like three days, and then you are going to get into bed and go to sleep. Good night Stiles." I said not letting him talk back and hanging my phone up.

There was a tap on my window and I groaned out loud not having been able to even stick my fork in my mouth before being interrupted. I got up and headed towards the window, opening the curtains to see Scott look at me with wide brown eyes. I opened the window up easily and crossed my arms.

"What?" I asked.

"So, Gerard..." he said and I was about to close my window back down before he stopped me, putting his hand over mine.

"Okay, I'm sorry. What we did today was insensitive. And it won't happen again..." before he could continued I let out a sarcastic snort and he rolled his eyes letting out an exasperated sigh, "But I need to know what's going on." he pleaded.

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow momentarily.

"Do you know where Derek is?" I asked.

Scott looked at me with a confused expression before nodding.

"Where?" I asked.

He stepped out from the roof and into my room with ease and walked over to my desk. I watched as he grabbed a pen and notebook of mine and scribbled something down. He handed me the notebook and I looked down to see an unfamiliar address.

"It's the address to an abandoned train station just in town." he said, answering my thoughts.

I sighed and began explaining some things I had overheard at the Argent's home to Scott. He didn't look too surprised that there was something that was going down.

That was as much as I knew. I saw them unload a shit ton of weapons from the SUV's they were driving and the matter seemed serious. After talking for a while, Scott thanked me and headed out to do whatever it was he does... most likely get in trouble.

Last I heard, him and Allison were NOT supposed to be seeing each other but they were finding other ways around that.

I spent the remainder of my night eating and Google mapping directions to get to the abandoned train station.
