Author's note: I'm baaaack! Bet you all missed me. Sorry about the two year hiatus; it was sort of unintentional. I had this story mostly written, then my computer decided to crash. I lost the entire story, along with my motivation. But, thanks to season 3 of Uta no Prince sama, I decided to give it a whirl. I can't promise regular updates – even during the summer, I'm insanely busy. Can I try to promise there won't be any more 2 year delays? Yep! I'm going to try continuing the story from where I left off, without adjusting the first chapter. We'll see how it goes. Anywho, enjoy this chapter, and please review to let me know characters you want me to include, things you think I can change, and stuff like that! (If you're still reading this, please don't post anything negative. Constructive criticism is okay. Criticism meant to hurt is not.)

The day after I got into the disagreement with the Host Club, I showed up at school to stares.

Great, I thought to myself. This was just what I was looking for. I knew I had a bit of a temper issue, and while admittedly I was working on it, it was still hard for me to control sometimes. Especially when it came to annoying people. Especially small, red-haired, annoying people who thought it would be funny to try and throw my violin.

I walked down the hallway, making sure my right shoulder brushed up against the wall occasionally. I reached my first class without incident, walked in, only to find that I was in the same math class as the twins. I sighed, both externally and internally, and moved to sit down.

"Tone?" The teacher motioned for me to go talk to them. First thinking I was in trouble, I moved quickly, but once I reached the front desk, the teacher explained that I wasn't in trouble, she just wanted me to test to make sure I was on the same level as the rest of the class. I arranged the time to be after school, and then finally got to sit. I had made a request of the teacher to put me in the back, and thankfully the teacher had complied. I sat behind Fujioka, a boy with red hair (not the twins, thankfully) was to my left, and the wall was behind and to the left of me.

"Hey. You must be the new kid." The redhead said without looking at me.

"Yeah. Sorry, but I don't know you."

"Kasanoda." He looked at me like he was expecting me to do something.

"Tone." The name was familiar, but not reaction-worthy.

And with that, the class began. After taking a cursory look at what we would be covering, I realized that I had learned about three-fourths of it last year, and that I would only need to learn the last part: statistics.

The next class was where I had a one-on-one Japanese lesson with the English teacher at the school. This one was relatively easy, but it was still a class where I needed to apply myself.

After this was music. I had requested solo lessons, so I got to go to a music room. I avoided the third music room, opting to go for the tenth.

These were the only three classes I took on four out of the five school days. On Fridays I had Chemistry, Swimming, and a study period. The director of the school insisted that I have a light class schedule, since they weren't entirely sure how long I was going to be in the country. No one would tell me what was going on in America, no matter how much I asked, pleaded, and requested.

Finally, it was lunch time. Kasanoda found me, and asked if I wanted to eat lunch with him, since I was new and didn't know anyone. Grateful that I wouldn't have to find a different room entirely to eat in, I accepted. Surprisingly, Kasanoda wanted to eat in the Library. I agreed, and we had a lunch that consisted of a bento and silence. It was rather refreshing, since almost everyone in the school wanted the American to speak English.

At long last, though, it was time for me to take the placement test and then go home. Una told me that she had an appointment with someone, and to come find her when I finished with the test. I finished in 45 minutes, and according the teacher, I, "passed with flying colors".

I then had to go track Una down. I had no idea where she was, and since this high school was enormous, I figured it could take forever. Thankfully, Lady Luck was on my side… sort of. I was walking down a hallway, and heard her. I heard her giggling. I heard her talking to someone. Someone I recognized. Someone who, hypothetically, might be my height and blonde and good with women. Shi-

"Tone, there you are!" Tamaki in all his dramatic glory came spinning down the hallway, Una in his arms.

"Tamaki. Let Una go."

"Tone, he's not-"

"What do you take me for? Una felt that she needed someone to talk to, so I naturally volunteered!"

"Of course you did. I hate to break this up, but can we go? I have some homework I need to get done."

"Surely it can wait!" Tamaki took me by my arm and tried to lead me down the hallway. Naturally, I resisted.

"I really, really, really want to go. Una, you can stay if you want, but I have to be going." I felt a hand on my shoulder, looked behind me, and was surprised to so Mori.

"Hm." He looked at me, then gestured down. Honey looked fit to burst with excitement.

"Tone-chan! Is it true that you ate lunch with Kasanoda today?"

"Yes..?"

Crickets. Pure, unadulterated cricket noises were coming from inside the dreaded Music Room 3.

"Why is no one talking?"

Honey looked at me. "Tone-chan, you do realize who Kasanoda is, right?"

"No? I'm American. I know nothing. And I don't particularly care; he's nice, and invited me to eat lunch since I'm new and know nothing. Who he is in terms of this odd social hierarchy really means nothing to me."

Kyoya was the first to move after my speech. "Come, ladies, we really must be getting back to the room." He started herding the girls back. When his gaze passed over me, I mouthed a quick thank you. He nodded slightly, pushed his glasses up, and kept moving forward.

Snagging Una's arm, I started to shove my way past the other hosts. Mori laid a hand on my shoulder, muttered a quick, "Watch for Kasanoda's enemies", and moved on, Honey trailing behind him. Tamaki kissed Una's hand then carried on. The twins, who I hadn't noticed, looked at me funny, then trailed after Tamaki.

"What was that all about?" I whispered to Una as we walked down the hall.

"Tone, you do realize who Kasanoda is, right?"

"No, I really don't!"

"He's, well, he's a crime lord."

Now it was my turn for the crickets. "What."

"He's a—"

"No, I heard you. Interesting."

The rest of the week continued as such. After my discovery of Kasanoda's identity, I started watching. He had people around him at all times, and part of the reason our lunches in the Library were so quiet were because he had people standing in a semi-circle, preventing people from coming over and bothering us. I decided to act normal; well, as normal as I could when I was friends with a guy who could hire someone to kill me. Not that I think Kasanoda would have, heck, he was one of the nicest, awkward-est guys I'd ever met.

On Friday, I found out I had Chemistry with the twins. While I never heard and apology from them, they did decide that I was worthy enough to be their partner. I never apologized either, but I did let them be their egotistical selves. At the very end of the week, I decided that the Host club guys weren't too bad. Weird? Yes. Rich? Double yes. Full of themselves? Definitely. But were they also a bunch of guys who, despite their positions, managed to care for other people? Yeah.
