Before you start reading let me explain. Himuro can do pro-fakes and his mirage shot is illusion. I'm going to introduce some elements that are in fact similar to a point. As in perception manipulation. Which can be similar yet different.

Perception Manipulation is where the user can alter a person(s) five senses in a creation of an illusion as well as the removal of the person(s) sense for a specific amount of time. Unlike Regular Illusion. It directly affects the mind of the target(s).

I do not own Kuroko no Basuke.

Every individual that wanted to join the Basketball club were directed to Seirin's Gym. Instead of the usual school uniforms they all know wore a t-shirt and sport shorts. The sneakers were changed to meet the needs of running on a indoor basketball court. Hedaki still kept his yellow-white sneakers on despite Hyuga's nagging. The second year let Hedaki do whatever he wanted. If the first year didnt make the tryouts then it didnt matter. Everyone near the area around Hedaki were also freezing because of the teens presence.

"Stop doing that." Hyuga said.

"It's not my fault they can't handle a little cold. It's not like I can either. It happens on its own." Hedaki responded.

Hyuga groaned.

"If you get on the team you will be a handful." Hyuga stated.

Hedaki just shrugged.

"Where is the coach?" Someone asked.

"Ah, here is our coach." Izuki stated.

All of the tryout members watched as Riko opened the door to the gym before walking up to them. She stood next to Hyuga with a pink whistle around her neck.

"Is she our manager and what about that guy over there?" Another boy asked.

"No. I'm your coach, Riko Aida! The grandpa in the corner is our advisor." She said firmly.

Furihata and Fukuda looked at the other.

"Why is our coach a girl?" Furihata asked.

"Can she even coach?" Fukuda asked.

Izuki slapped them upside the head from behind them. The pair instantly held their own head as pain rippled through them.

"Of course she can coach. Idiots." Izuki answered.

"We dont need our future members being injured. Anyhow to the matter at hand. I will see if you guys our basketball material. The ones left will play a mini-game against my second years. Good luck. Finally, if you preform well during the game. Then you may join the basketball club." Riko said.

Everyone seemed to get serious as they stood more straighten and it was extremely quiet. Riko crossed her arms as she grew a grin.

"Everyone take off your shirts."

Aside from the snickering second years the rest of people in the gym started a akward atmosphere. Riko watched as everyone became hesitate but Hedaki saved her from repeating her order.

"Just do it guys! It won't kill you! Don't you wanna join the team!?" Hedaki shouted.

Everyone saw Hedaki without his shirt and this cause the rest of the tryout members to take off their shirts. Riko mentally thanked Hedaki before starting her run. She started from the right of the line. Riko began to make remarks about the students physical feats and limitations.

"She is right but how does she know?" Furihata asked in awe.

"Riko's dad is a sports trainer. She learned all about his techniques while she was with him at his workshop." Hyuga answered.

Riko finally made it to Hedaki and her eyes scanned his body. She stepped back not by the sheer cold he was letting out. Riko looked at his entire body that seemed to screamed a trained prodigy.

"Are you sure you have never played basketball!? Streetball!?" Riko shouted.

"I played at the gym with some school mates but not really. Everyone else believed in my curse. So they stayed away from me. Alot." Hedaki stated.

"I see...you do know those arent basketball shoes." Riko replied.

"I tried, coach. He is a stubborn one." Hyuga said.

Riko nodded before walking away.

"Alright and do you know where Kuroko is?" Riko asked.

Hedaki hand grasps Kuroko's wrist before gently pulling him in front of him. Kuroko felt annoyed as Hedaki pulled him in between the pair. Riko sweat dropped as Kuroko glared at Hedaki.

"Can you please not do that. I can introduce myself." Kuroko said.

"Nonsense! Stop being shy by diminshing your presence. You aren't playing yet so it's okay." Hedaki countered.

"I told you while we left the booth. That this is my natural presence. I can't do anything about it." Kuroko stated.

"Thank you, lets see about you Kuroko." Riko said.

Riko scanned Kuroko's body but saw that he was more of an amauter. That was to be unexpected. She would give Kuroko a chance. The coach marched over to the front of the group and stood in the center of the line.

"I have made my decision! I apologize but their is always next time! The five that will be joining us as first years are Kuroko Tetsuya, Hedaki Sita, Furihata, Kawahara and Fukuda! The rest please exit the gym!" Riko said loud enough for everyone to hear.

The atmosphere changed to a depressing one as the ones not called all left the gym. It changed once again as everyone felt happy and or nervous.

"Alright for the lucky five! Now, prepare yourselves and show us what you can do!" Riko enthusiastically said.

The court was already sat up from the earlier preparations. Riko now explained that their would be two quarters to the game that were ten mintues each. Their would be fouls counted in the game. No warnings or corrections. She directed Hedaki to be the center, since he was the tallest out of the bunch. Kuroko would be point guard, Furihata small forward, Fukuda as power forward and finally Kawahara as shooting guard. Mitobe would assume center, Tsuchida as power forward, Hyuga as shooting guard, Izuki as point guard and wrapped it up with Koganei as small forward. Riko would be referee and the one leading the tip off. Everyone gathered around the circle of the court. Hedaki and Mitobe were in the middle of said circle. Everyone else wasn't but surronded the centers. Riko stood with the ball before tossing it into the air. She watched as the two centers went after it and saw Hedaki the victor. He tipped the ball over to Fukuda. The teen caught it and dribbled the ball. The second years took off to defend the basket while the first years took their time getting to the goal. Riko herself jogged over outside the court and onto the sidelines of it. In order to referee without being in the way. She could as well watch the first years. Riko raised a brow as she saw Hedaki on the perimeter with Mitobe still closely guarding him.

'weird.' The coach thought.

Hedaki look at Izuki guarding Kuroko while Fukuda seemed to have trouble with Tsuchida. Hedaki look at Mitobe before suddenly bursting away, catching the other center off guard. Hyuga's eyes widen at the sheer speed of Hedaki's.

'So fast!' He thought.

"Hey!" Hedaki shouted.

Fukuda saw his teammate before passing the ball to him. Hedaki caught it before stopping as Mitobe got in his way. The two centers starred the other down before Hedaki moved first. He went to Mitobe's left trying to make a fast break pass him. However, Mitobe was quick enough to at least start a chase. Mitobe kept up with Hedaki until a shout came to his ears.

"Mitobe! Behind you!" Hyuga shouted.

Riko' eyes went to dinner plates.

'You gotta be kidding me!? This has to be something fictional!' She thought.

Mitobe looked behind him but only for his eyes to widen in shock. In the air was Hedaki in a shooting form. The teen released the ball from his hands and it went cleanly through the net. Thus making a three pointer. Mitobe swinged his head around to see that 'Hedaki' was running for the hoop. The 'Hedaki' was close enough to do a lay up but it quickly vanished. Hedaki grew a devious smirk as he fully tricked everyone in the room.

Flashback.

Hedaki could only stare at food in the shop. The boy didnt have the money for said food and knew no one wanted to buy it for him. Every shopper sent a glare or shunned him. There was only one option left stealing it. The shop clerk would surely chase him as the man watched Hedaki like a hawk. Then he remember the Onryo. The wraithful spirit could use illusions and other tricks. As a means to attract people. To fool them. Hedaki sat on the ground before thinking hard and long on the means to do it. As the hours pass, as his stomach growled more and more finally it occured to him. If he could manipulate time and the sense of perception along with a bit of illusion. Hedaki could steal the food and leave freely without getting caught. However, that puzzle would take years of trial and error to complete. Many failures as well as some jail time along with community service. He finally cracked open the book.

Flashback ends.

Riko or anyone else didnt have any answers.

'One could say it is Kuroko's misdirection. However, Hedaki has a huge presence. He didn't have to draw attention away from himself. Not only that but the illusion was far too long and real or was it even illusion? Wait, everyone saw it...that means he manipulated our sense of perception. Wait if he has a huge presence then he could easily pull that trick off because he can put some of it into his fake self. That is scary beyond measure.' Riko thought.

Hedaki was the only one to head back to defend. After a few seconds the first years quickly hurried to join him. The second years got ready by getting in place. Hyuga, Koganei and Tsuchida were with the first years. Koganei in the mid range area while Hyuga stood behind the three point line. Tsuchida was located near the paint. Mitobe ready the ball before giving it to Izuki. Hedaki looked at Kuroko. As a result Kuroko returned his look.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I wanna gaurd Izuki, get Mitobe. The passes you can intercept and pass them to someone." Hedaki answered.

Izuki raised a brow as Hedaki stood before him. His arms outstretched to stop any kind of drive inwards as well as to block passing lanes. Hedaki looked straight into his senior's eyes.

"Those are some nice eyes you have, can I have them?" Hedaki asked.

Izuki felt weirded out as he dribbled the ball even more carefully. He couldn't understand why Hedaki kept looking into his eyes. Izuki eyes move to Hyuga whom broke free from his defender. Izuki got ready to pass to Hyuga.

"The eyes tell the truth. You were gonna pass it to the now free captain." Hedaki said.

Izuki's eyes went to saucers as his arm stop the pass but Hedaki speared the ball out of Izuki's hand. The first year center bursted around Izuki to grasp the ball before dribbling it down the court. Hyuga quickly darted after him as did everyone else. Riko continued to evaluate the game from where she stood and the entire first quarter. It was mainly about Hedaki. The Seirin coach concluded that Hedaki did in fact lived with an Onryo. He held an unbelievable sixth sense of where everyone was located on the court. He held a superb amount of perception and his Mastery of Manipulation. Hedaki loved getting into the minds of his opponents. A devious smile always appeared on his face whenever his tricks succeeded. She put her attention on Kuroko whom wasnt sweating. The teen didnt do much outside of steals since Hedaki and him charged marks. Riko would see if Kuroko would make a more direct approach.

"We have to start double teaming Hedaki. Izuki stay behind me, Ill lead him to you." Hyuga stated.

The second quarter started as The first years would start the offense. Riko watched as Hedaki received the ball and Hyuga marked him. The Seirin Captain and Hedaki starred the other down. Before the first year got ready to jump and Hyuga readied himself. Hyuga jumped as soon as Hedaki did in order to contest the shot. However, he heard dribbling signalling that Hyuga was fooled.

'I leave it to you, Izuki!' Hyuga thought.

Izuki stood ready to spear the ball out of Hedaki's hand but he wasnt fast enough. As Hedaki gave a smirk as the teen pass the ball. Everyone watched as the ball moved through the air and expected it to go out of bounds. Since Hedaki threw it to no one in particular. Izuki felt Hedaki pass him and the second year eyes widen as he looked behind him. Kuroko saw the ball being pass into his general direction before seeing Hedaki running to the hoop. Kuroko effortlessly smacked the object towards the direction of the hoop.

'When did he!?' Hyuga thought.

Riko was astonished, she didnt see Kuroko up until he touch the ball to pass it towards the hoop. Hedaki launched himself into the air before grasping the ball in one hand. The teen preformed an ally-opp as he dunked the ball into the basket. The game continued as the offense now mainly revolved around Kuroko. The Phantom Sixth man showed everyone why he was a Teiko regular. It wasnt from his unbelievable basketball skills. It was Kuroko's unique ablity to pass the ball as well as grab steals out of thin air. It was due to his lack of presence that Kuroko could easily use his misdirection. In order to stay like a shadow. Riko was amazed by Kuroko's performance. Kuroko is a strong basketball player. The game came to an end with the first years showing great promise. Especially Kuroko and Hedaki. She called everyone over in order to talk to them once the game was concluded. Both teams stood in front of Riko.

"Alright, you did excellent first years! It wasnt bad! Let's improve you guys starting tommorow onwards! Any questions!?" She asked.

Hedaki raised his hand.

"Yes." Riko acknowledged.

"You said join the club not the team. How can we join the actual team to actually play in matches?" Hedaki asked.

"Glad you asked the question. I'll tell you all." Riko replied.

All of the second years gave a nervous chuckle while all of the first years listened in closely. One day later, every first year joined the team officially at a price. One they had to announce their dreams and or goals to the entire school. The way Riko wanted it done was during the 2nd and 3rd years assembly while the group shouted at them from the school's rooftop. Riko also explained that if they had failed to complete their goal or dream. Then the person must confess to a girl he liked, butt naked and in the winter. The dreams were from dramatic and quite the demand. One of which was Hedaki's beating all of the Generation's of Miracles to fulfill his promise. To one of sheer romance yet touching dream that belong to Furihata. That the girl of his dream would only hang out with him if he be the best in something. Furihata figured he be the best in Seirin's basketball team. Finally landing on Kuroko's dream that couldnt be revealed as the principal caught Seirin. In return Kuroko was interrupted and couldnt speak as he and Hedaki snuck away from the scolding male. That punished all of Seirin's basketball team from not using the roof for the rest of the year.
