Chapter 1

My day started with me getting up and going to the bathroom. Kenta was still asleep. Last night he came home very drunk, which was normal. We got into a fight and he hit me, which was also normal. Now I know that most people wouldn't find that normal, but I do. This cycle has been going on for so long that it has become a part of my daily life. When I reached the bathroom, I went through the tedious process of brushing my teeth and showering. When I finished that, I stood in front of the mirrior to fix my hair. I stared at myself. My face was flawless. Not a single blemish or bruise. Kenta didn't hit my face often. If he did, than people would know that he was abusing me. And we couldn't have that, now could we. The rest of my body, well, that's a different story. There was a bruise forming from where Kenta hit me last night. My skin was starting to turn a dark purple color and it hurt whenever I touched it. I didn't have time to put ice on it. The bathroom door opened and Kenta walked inside. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close.

''I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was drunk and I wasn't thinking. Can you forgive me?'' he whispered. I smiled. Of course I would forgive him. I always do.

''Of course I forgive you.'' I whispered right back. I saw Kenta smile.

''I love you.'' he mumbled into my ear.

''I love you too.'' And I did. I really did love him. Even though he is an abusive ass, I still love him. And it was times like these that made my love for him grow. I know that these moments won't last. I know that by the end of the day, Kenta will be back to his old, abusive self. But in these moments, it feels like I'm in heaven. And these are the moments I remember when Kenta is hitting me. It makes me feel better, to know that when tomorrow comes, this Kenta will be waiting for me.

''You look so hot right now.'' Kenta said. It was then that I realized that I was still naked.

''Stop it.'' I mumbled, my cheeks were turning pink.

''It's true. I could have my way with you right now.'' Kenta whispered. He nibbled on my ear. I shuddered. Kenta chuckled.

''Oh, you like that huh? Well, how about this?'' Kenta started to leave a trail of kisses on my neck.

''Kenta stop it. I have to get dressed.''

''No you don't. We can have sex right now. Right on this floor.'' Kenta breathed into my ear. He took hold of my nipple and pinched it. I moaned. It felt so good. I didn't want it to stop. But I had to get to work. I gently pushed Kenta's hands away.

''Kenta, we can't do this right now. I have to go to work.'' I said. Kenta instantly pulled away. He frowned.

''Oh yeah, that's right. You gotta go to work. Have to get that money, am I right? Gotta pay the bills, right?''

''Kenta.'' I started. I knew what was coming next. Kenta would get angry and hit me. That's what always happened. And I was right. Kenta grabbed my wrist and shoved me up against the wall. His hand was right on my bruise. I whimpered. He smirked. I felt his hand squeeze around my bruise. I gasped. Kenta squeezed harder.

''Kenta, please. Stop it.'' I pleaded. It hurt. It hurt a lot. Kenta stopped squeezing. He roughly gripped my chin.

''Fine, go to work. But just so you know, when you get back, you're body is mine tonight. And I won't go easy on you.'' Kenta turned and walked out of the bathroom. I sighed.

Happy moment over.

OoOoOooOoOOooOoOoOooO

When I arrived at work, it was almost ten. I quickly walked into the building. I was greeted by the company's secretary, Janice.

''Nice to see you, Kaoru. How's it going?'' she asked. I smiled.

''Everything's going fine.'' I lied. Everything was not fine. But she didn't need to know that. No one did.

''Anyways, I'll see you later, Janice. Have a nice day.'' I walked over to the elevator and pressed the button.

I worked at a large fashion company. I've been working there for about eight years now. This is the place where I met Kenta. I loved working here. This was the best job that I could have. I always had a thing for fashion. I''m like my mother, in that aspect. Hikaru, however, he wasn't into fashion all that much. He got into business. Things are going well for him and I'm happy about that. I talk to him about twice a week. As for the rest of the host club, we still keep in touch. Kyoya went on to run his family's business, which was no surprise to me. I always knew that he could do it. Honey and Mori became martial arts teachers, which was no surprise at all. Haruhi became a nurse, which was shocking. I never knew that she liked medicine. But it doesn't matter. And as for Tamaki, well, I'm not sure what he does. But that's enough of that.

I reached the seventh floor and walked briskly to my office at the end of the hall. My assistant, Daisuke, was already there, waiting for me. In his hand was a french vanilla macchiato with extra whip cream.

''Here's you coffee, sir.'' Daisuke said and handed me the cup. I took a sip and smiled.

''Thanks Daisuke. Anyways, can you get me some fabric from the storage room?'' Daisuke nodded and left. I sat down on my office chair and began reading my emails. It was the usual stuff. As I scrolled down the list of ever present emails, I saw one that caught my eye. It was from Hikaru. Apparently, he wanted to take me to lunch. He sent the email last night, which would explain why I didn't know about it at first. I took out my phone and quickly dialed Hikaru's number.

''Hello?''

''Hikaru, it's me.''

''Kaoru! It's so great to hear from you! Did you get my email?''

''Yeah, I got it. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. I didn't have any time last night. I got home really late.''

''It's okay. So, what's your answer?'' I smiled.

''The answer is yes. I would love to have lunch with you.''

''Great! When is your lunch break?''

''My lunch break is at one. We can leave then.''

''Good. There's this new restaurant that just opened up. I was hoping that we could go there. I'll text you the address.''

''Okay. I'll be looking for that text.'' I hung up. A second later, my phone vibrated, which meant that I just received a new message. I smiled because I knew that that text was from Hikaru.

I spent most of my morning working on some new designs. I was one of best young designers that this company has. I had to keep working hard. I don't want some other person taking my job. That's the same thing that happened to Kenta. I shook my head. I didn't want to think about Kenta.

I never wanted to think about him.

OoOoOoOOooOOOooOoOoOOo

At around 12:50 I stopped working on my design. I got up and headed out of my office. Daisuke looked up at me.

''Are you going somewhere?'' he asked. I nodded.

''Yeah. I'm meeting my brother for lunch. I should be back in an hour.'' I told him. Daisuke nodded.

''Okay. I'll see you in an hour.'' I turned and left the building.

The restaurant wasn't that far from my work place. When I reached the restaurant, I saw Hikaru standing at the entrance. I got out of the car and walked to the restaurant doors. Hikaru grinned when he saw me.

''Kaoru!'' he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a tight bear hug. I tried really hard not to wince. The hug wasn't the problem, it was the bruise. After about ten seconds, Hikaru pulled away. He smiled.

''Let's go inside.'' I nodded and together we walked inside. The restaurant was nice. It wasn't too fancy. The decor was simple which gave the place a nice homey feel to it. Hikaru and I sat down at one of the nearest tables. A waiter came by and took our orders.

''So, how's everything?'' Hikaru asked.

''Everything's fine. How about you?'' I asked. Hikaru shrugged.

''I'm fine. Although, I'm still single, which is never a good thing.''

''What happened to your girlfriend? Cindi was her name, right?'' Hikaru sighed.

''Her? She was and idiot. I went out with her for like a month. I just couldn't take her stupidity anymore.'' I chuckled.

''Why am I not surprised? Something must be wrong with you.''

''Me? What's wrong with me?'' I sighed.

''Hikaru, you can't keep a relationship to save your life. The longest relationship you had lasted about three months. I don't know if it's you or the girls you date. But I do know that something is wrong here.'' I said. Hikaru grunted.

''I don't know what you're talking about.'' he mumbled. I raised an eyebrow.

''Oh really? How many girls have you dated so far?'' I asked. Hikaru shrugged.

''I don't know. Five maybe? Six?''

''See? You don't even know how many. You need to get your act together, Hikaru. You know, find a girl and settle down.'' Hikaru scoffed.

''I get the same lecture from mom, and now you? My life really is falling apart. Oh the horror!'' Hikaru gasped dramatically. I laughed.

''No, but seriously, you have to stop this Hikaru. You really have to stop playing around and get serious.''

''Hey! I really tried to make things work with Cindi. She was just so stupid. I couldn't stay with her. Did you know how annoying she was? She couldn't even hold a conversation. Gosh, I hate girls like that. Stupid girls that only rely on their looks to move up in life. It's so annoying.''

''Than why do you continue to date girls like that?'' I snapped.

''I don't know. I have an addiction to stupid girls. It's a serious problem, I know. Anyways, enough talking about my love life. How about yours? How's Kenta?'' I froze. My hands started to shake under the table.

'Get a grip.' I thought. I took a deep breath and smiled.

''Kenta's great. Everything's great.'' I lied. Hikaru didn't need to know what was going on. If I told him, he go over to my house and start and altercation with Kenta. And I didn't want that to happen. I didn't want Hikaru to get hurt. I loved him and I wasn't going to let him get involved. This was my problem and I was going to fix it. This was none of Hikaru's business.

''C'mon Kaoru. You know that isn't enough. I want details.''

''Hikaru, there's nothing to say. Everything's fine.'' I told him.

''No, give me something. I want to know all about you two. C'mon, tell me something.'' Hikaru persisted. My hands started to shake again. The bruise under my shirt started to hurt. It was a burning sensation that travelled throughout my body. My head started to hurt. I started to feel dizzy.

''Kaoru?'' Hikaru questioned.

''I have to use the bathroom.'' I got up and practically ran to the bathroom. I walked into a stall and leaned against the wall. My breaths were coming out short and quickly.

'Calm down Kaoru. Just calm down. Hikaru can't get suspicious of what's happening. So calm down. Calm down.' I took a couple of deep breaths. Eventually the dizziness subsided. When I was sure that I was calm enough, I left the bathroom. I sat down at the table. Hikaru stared at me.

''Are you alright? You look a little pale.'' I nodded.

''I'm fine.'' I muttered. Hikaru didn't look convinced.

''Are you sure? You got up so quickly. Did I say something?'' I shook my head.

''No! I just got dizzy. I haven't eaten all day.'' I said. Hikaru continued to stare at me. He was probabaly contemplating if he should believe me. Then he smiled and I knew that he dropped it.

''It's a good thing that we came here then. Look, our food is coming right now.'' I looked over my shoulder and there was our waiter, bringing our food. As soon as the food was on the table, Hikaru and I digged in.

I smiled. This was the happiest I've been in a long time.

OooOoOoOoOOoOoOoOOoO

After I had lunch with Hikaru, I went back to work. By the time I got home, it was really late. I took out my keys and opened the door. The whole house was dark. I turned on the lights.

''Kenta?'' I called. When I got no response, I sighed. Of course he wasn't home. He's probably out drinking. I put my keys down and went to get a glass of water.

''Where have you been?'' Kenta voice asked from the top of the stairs. I jumped. I put the glass down and turned around.

''Oh, you're home. I didn't see you.''

''Answer the question Kaoru.''

''I was at work Kenta.'' I said. Kenta walked down the stairs and walked over to me.

''So you were at work. For the whole day?'' I shook my head.

''No. I had lunch with Hikaru.'' Kenta nodded.

''Hikaru huh? Did he suspect anything?''

''No.'' Kenta frowned.

''You're lying.'' he growled. I shook my head.

''No, I'm-''

''LIAR!'' Kenta barked. He raised his hand and slapped me. I gasped and stumbled back. Kenta grabbed my arm and started to drag me upstairs.

''Where are we going?'' I asked. Kenta grinned.

''I told you, your body is mine tonight.'' I paled. When we reached the bedroom, Kenta shoved me in and closed the door.

''Take off your clothes.'' he order. I shook my head.

''No, Kenta please-''

''I said, take off your clothes.'' Kenta growled. I gulped and started to strip. When I was completely naked, Kenta grinned.

''Now get on all fours.'' he ordered. My eyes widened.

''No, no Kenta please.'' I begged. Kenta snarled.

''You heard me. Get on all fours. Now.'' I looked at him with terror filled eyes. When he showed no signs of backing down, I did what I was told.

It wasn't even a full thirty seconds before he pounced on me. I cried out when he entered me roughly.

''Shut up!'' he snapped. I did as I was told and kept quiet as he continued to have his way with me. He pulled out after five thrusts. He leaned down and began to whisper in my ear.

''You worthless little shit. Your lucky that I still want you because believe me when I say, no one else will. So if you ever try leaving me, just know that you will find no one else. No one could possible want a filthy slut like you.''

Kenta got up and left the room. I heard the front door open and close. I started to sob. I didn't know what came over me. I just started sobbing. And very loudly, at that. I tried to stop, but I couldn't.

I just sobbed and sobbed for the whole night.
