Hello minna! Sorry it's been a while since I last updated but am going to make this the best chapter ever! I been getting better at my writing so am going to make it up to all of you! Or who ever reads this -.-. So on with the story!
Chapter 2
I never laughed so much in my life. I keep laughing no matter how much it hurts. I grab my stomach in hopes of trying to sooth my pain but it doesn't help. My whole body shakes with laugher and my face as far as I can tell is red as a tomato. Hot streaming tears fall down my face from laughing to hard. It takes me a while to settle down before I can wip the tears away and my face to set back to its regular shade. My friends: Juvia, Levy, Erza, Lisanna, Mira, Gray, Gajeel, and Cana stare at me weirdly. I just smile at them while Natsu who is sitting by me is grinning.
" What's so funny?" Mira askes while turning her head slightly to the side as the others begin to eat their lunches. It's been weeks since since I met Natsu, and we came the bestest friends. Or, at least, that's what Natsu says. He loves to hang out with me when ever he can. I really don't mind.
" Oh it's nothing Mira! Nothing to worry about!" Natsu says as he grins at the white haired girl as I hid behind my hands to cover up some giggling. Just a few moments ago, Natsu was making funny faces at Erza's back when she was scolding Gray for taking off his shirt and was unable to find it. The whole situation was just funny.
She raises a brow. "Are you sure you two", she points at both of us, "are ok?" She askes with concern. I wouldn't blame her, we where laughing like madman's.
"Yes!" We both answer at the same time. She shrugs it off and begins to eat her lunch. Me and Natsu share a smile and both begin our lunches. In the cafeteria it's very loud. The cafeteria has white tiles and is the size of a football field. The lunch ladies talk in their small office at the back of the cafeteria to make kids know, they are watching them during their lunch. Ready to break up a fight if nescariiy. I learned this rule was enrolled because of Natsu's legacy to start fights during lunch.
A bunch of students go to Fairy High School so half of the school is in this lunch room. Am surprised that we where able to find a table. It was just able to fit the 10 of us. I was surprised. I look down at my samwich that was about to enter my mouth but never made it since I was looking around. It's turkey with American cheese and weat bread. I take a small bite and close my eyes. It reminds me of my mothers cooking. Always taking small bites, never wanting to finish my samwich. But, like always, it gone within mintues. I close my eyes and try to remember how my mother cooked but all I draw is a empty kitchen with my little child self eatting a samwich. No one with me.
" Oi Lucy! You sleeping?!" I hear someone call as the poke my forehead. Why don't he just leave me alone? I open my eyes to see a grinning Natsu.
" Finally your open Luce! You been sleeping for like five mintues!" Everyone looks at us. Why did he just be unite for once!
"So Lucy, what where you thinking ' bout?" Cana askes as she leans over the table to stare right at me.
" N-nothing!" I say as I put my hands up in defense to show my thoughts where innocent. The thing with Cana is if she finds out you like someone, she tells Mira who is the best match maker around. After she finds out, your screwed. Thaae dates always turn to a fail.
yaa" Really so what are you thinking bout, huh!" Every at the table turns towards our conversation with interest. Even Natsu who looks at me with one raised eye brow and a small smile, waiting for answers.
I gulp a little. If I don't tell them, they will pester me about it all day. And no one has time for that. "I...was...uh...think about...my...mother" I whisper soft enough for only maybe Natsu to hear me.
"What did you say? I couldn't hear you" Gajeel said as he put a finger in his ear, trying to move the ear wax out of the way to hearaaaA me I suppose.
" I said I was thinking about my mother." I answer a little louder to everyone can hear aaame. Some of my friends don't know my mother died when I was very young. To young to remember what she sounded like. I only told a few of them: Levy, Erza, and Natsu. They all shared to me how their parents are gone too. Natsu's mom died just like mine, they where both effected my aa disease.
"Oh ok sorry to bother you about your thoughts, Lucy" Erza said as she tugs Cana back down into her chair and continue to drink whatever juice is in her water bottle. I sigh and fall back into the uncomfortable blur chair that has four metal legs that hold my weight. At the conor of my eye I can see Natsu is staring at me worriedly, wondering if am ok. But I don't say any anything to him or anyone for that matter.
Later that day school finally ends and I don't even say good bye to any of my friends. I just really don't feel like talking. It's kind of breezy out so am shivering to the bone. But I don't show it. I keep walking down the streets of Magnolia passing strangers by not really paying attention. Before I know it I stand shocked. Well that's what I guess for not paying attention. I stand in front of the school once more.
"You have to be kidding me!" I shout as I stomp my foot in frustration. I can't believe this. I been walking around in circles.
"Yo Luce!" I hear a voice call. I turn around and see his spiky pink- salmon- hair. It's Natsu.
I smile and wave at him. "Hi Natsu!" I skip over to him a grin as we face each ogther.
"What ya still doing at the school, Luce?" He askes as we walk past the school and towards town.
" Oh well, I was walking home but I think I took a wrong turn and ended back up at the school" I state as we turn the conor. The buildings in Magnolia are high and contain many floors. I haven't been in some of them so I wouldn't know.
" Your weird Luce. Who gets lost anymore?" Natsu claims as he puts his hands behind his head and grins. So care free.
" Am not weird! I just know the place all that well yet!" I shout at him and cross my hands under my breast to make them appear bigger. Well bigger than usual.
" Damn Luce, your yelling is annoying" he states as he as he covers his ears in attempt to block out my yelling.
" Hmph that's what you get for calling me weird, idiot" I say and walk head of him. How dare he call me weird! Am more normal than him!
" Geez Luce no need to get all mad. Your face is turning into a tomato!" He laughs his head off at my face. Ugh he is annoying!
" Screw you!" I walk a little faster so he can't catch up with me. But unfortunately he still catches up with me.
" Come on Luce no need to be all mad!" He jumps in front of me and starts walking backwards so he faces me while he walks.
" Geez Natsu your so childish!"
"Am not!
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"What ever you say Natsu. Well I need to get home ok? I see you tomorrow! Bye!" I run in front of him and head home. If I kept on arguing with home I would just be wasting my time.
" Bye Luce! Talk to you tomorrow!" I hear Natsu shout back. I got some good friends well don't I?
