Chapter 2 is up. That was fast, wasn't it. Well, now the disclaimer.

I do not own any of the KH characters or the basic plot. I wish I did though. :(

"I knew I'd find you guys snoozing down here!" comes a voice.

"Who's there?" I ask, opening my eyes. However, a the sudden glare from the sun nearly blinds me. Once I can actually see again, I look to the side to see a familar red-head standing next to me.

"It's just me, Kaze," she says, giggling. "And Sora, wake up!"

"Huh?" I hear Sora say behind me. "Oh, it's just you Kairi."

"Honestly you two," Kairi says with a sigh, "all you do is sleep all day. I know you're twins, but you're too alike." Okay, we may be twins, but it's not like we're completely identical. Appearance-wise anyway. I have black hair as opposed to his brown. Mine's a little shorter as well. Though it's hard to tell since we have the same, overly spiked hair-style. A pretty bad idea in retrospect.

"Hey! We don't sleep all day!" I say indignantly. Okay, maybe we sneak in a nap or two every day, but that's not all we do.

"Yeah," Sora adds, "We do other things, like..." He can't think of anything. Thanks for helping the cause there, bro.

"Like helping with the raft?" Kairi suggests. "Oh wait, you guys haven't done anything to help yet."

Before I can argue more, another voice interjects. "Neither have you Kairi." Sauntering down the beach is our other friend, Riku, carrying a large log. "I guess I'm the only one working on the raft. You're just as lazy as Sora and Kaze!" Riku tosses the log to Sora, who immediately falls back from the sudden weight. I go to help him up, trying to keep from laughing while Sora glares at me.

"So you've noticed," Kairi says jokingly. She clapps her hands together. "Okay, we'll finish it together! I'll race you!" While I was busy helping Sora with the log, Kairi and Riku got a head-start. Now how is that fair?

"Get back here you cheaters!" I shout after them, already running.

"I need you to get a log and a rope," Kairi says to me. "Sora's already getting another log and a cloth." After Sora and I inevitably lost the race, we finally got back to work. Though it was going to be annoying to find everything else we need. We've been at this for weeks now, making sure we have everything we need for the raft.

"Got it Kairi!" I say as I run off to find the stuff. I immediately find the log lying in the sand near the ocean. "Amazing how Sora didn't find this," I mutter as I pick it up. I bring it back to Kairi so she can put it... somewhere. To be honest, I have no idea where this stuff goes. I move out again to search and eventually find some rope in one of our many treehouses. I'm glad I didn't try to drag the log up there.

By the time I get the rope back to Kairi, Sora and Riku are done already. I can see them over on one of the smaller islands, fighting with their wooden swords. "You should go join them," Kairi suggests.

"Yeah right. We both know that they're both on another level. I couldn't beat Riku if I tried. Sora, maybe."

Kairi laughs. "Come to think of it, I don't think Riku's lost to any of us since you were 10."

"You got that right."
